Not a bad idea but not very possible because each tempo for the POVs will be different so the parts won’t match up, and things that are supposed to sound unison will eventually not be close to sounding unison.
And you can’t even just slow down and speed up some, because that would 1) change the pitch and 2) a lot of performances tempos vary slightly throughout.
My school band had a virtual concert. Which meant we recorded our bands playing all of our pieces and same with the grade 10s and 12s at different times of course but then our concert was streamed 3 weeks later.
I’ve watched so many of these all over yt, I don’t play any instruments but to see people play so synchronised and it to sound so amazing is literally so fun to listen to
every year i fall into a deep hole of sleigh ride perspectives and its honestly terrifying :') also as a fellow alto the tone quality both of you have is so good HOLYYYY
You both have incredible tone omg 😮 your musicianship is on point fr, I hope me and my fellow alto 2 reach this level so also the neck snap is my favorite move for this piece
i used to play alto sax from 5th-8th grade and stopped when i went to highschool but i still love the sax and i love this video it makes me actually miss the sax i havent played in a while because i dont have a reed to play with. i might just have to buy one now so i can play again
@@chuckeishacheese4017 idk bout similar bc I’m a sax player, but I have quite a few clarinet players who switched very easily. The fingerings between all saxes are the same but soprano/tenor are in a different key.
Sleigh Ride on Alto even 2nd is so Fun to play once you learn it especially for 4 years straight, from Freshman to Senior Year we have played the Leroy Anderson Arrangement aka the most Famous piece out their. But I still til this day play that for Fun especially as a Christmas Song but I like to play it also whenever to. But Great Job tbh with y’all, y’all have played way better then myself individually shh 🤫 we don’t tell anyone else that ok that knows me personally oof.
Im a sax player and my school band doesn’t play Christmas music, im really sad I didn’t get to play Christmas music this year. But I found it really funny how y’all “snapped your necks lol. I had fun watching this
man i am absolutely pissed that my school's christmas concert was some amalgamation of marching arrangements and a god damn drum line, but yall did amazing, kudos
Ohhh okkkk!!! That tone is 😙👌🏼 also, I've watched some trumpets do it, and now you guys.. Haha now on to look for some tenors to bring me back in time... 😂😂
This is really cool but also really sad. I’m graduating this Saturday and will probably never play this again. Played it for four years on flute and piccolo. Great job saxes! I also played alto sax for jazz band so it’s cool to hear this part
I love the saxophone and yall play it so so well, im super envious as a flute player, good jobs on getting the corrects notes and rhythms unlike my band’s saxophones /j
Go check out our Instagrams!

Haha thanks, I do have some pretty luscious locks 😂
I look like the guy on the right lol (I play alto too)
I'm envious that their school is rich enough for them to both be playing on Selmer-Paris horns lol...But seriously, amazing sound!

I like how the percussionist with the slapstick jumped to emphasize their slap. Also, Sax gang for life (Bari and Alto)!
Yessir
Ours did that too😂
Yeee sax gang rise. Especially the tenors because I play tenor and clarinet.
Bari alto on top
Hello my fellow sax players, I play tenor, alto, and soprano.
I've been playing alto for 6 years, and I can tell you, your tone and technique are immaculate. Keep up the good work!
Wow, thank you!
I agree with that. I’ve been playing for about 8 years and I could never get a great tone like this
@@zachsollysax who’s the guy on your right
You guys sounded great! As another alto sax player, I wish I had the tone quality you have.
Thank you so much!
fax!! and those fancy selmer paris horns 😍
Too bad my band didn’t have a Christmas concert this yr :((
You two did a really nice job though!! I love the alto saxophone
Thank you so much!
My band either

We're having ours after Christmas break

I swear ive seen so many sleigh ride perspectives, and I click on EVERY . SINGLE . ONE
Your high notes are clean. A little more volume on the 2nd alto part. Other than that, superior musicality. Continue to build your musicianship.
Thank you!
I play tenor sax, still love listening to any sax part! You guys have such nice tone, nice job!!!
same lol
same!
this song is so fun, but honestly prefer playing second part because the harmony is so cool and really ties the piece together
Beautiful beautiful job! You two harmonize so well. One doesn’t overpower the other. And that TONE!! Bravo!! 👏

i’ve never heard this from a saxes perspective but it’s wildly fun to listen to 😉
I respect this, as an alto sax I love seeing over saxophones playing so well and it’s getting me inspired to play more and get better at my instrument
100% jealous of the tone and clearness, and the red ties’ hair is even better 😂

i know this is about the saxes, but i couldnt keep my eyes or mind off of the trombonist in the back. such a beautiful sound from the band.
I play alto and the dynamics we're so on point and I wanna sound like them u guys sound so good
Me as an alto sax player im like blown through the roof this was just perfection at its high quality
yall are so in tune
and the guy in the percussion is hillarious
The harmonies are like sooo *immaculate* 😭😭 howwwww
Yup, the christmas classic. I play alto sax too and this whole tune is memorized at this point lol
the harmonies at 0:17 are literally so satisfying
also around 2:00
as a band member I just love watching other bands play music especially music we play too to hear like different perspectives. Great job!!
So far I’ve seen trumpets, trombones, clarinets and now saxes do sleigh bell. Where are my fellow flautists at😭. Fr doe, y’all’s killed this
This is the first video of this song that I could actually hear the French Horns!
probably only because altos sit next to the horns 😞

That was so good! I wish you guys were in my band! I play flute but I always wanted to play sax and this isn't helping haha.
You don’t know how fast I clicked on this, I’ve been looking for a saxophone for sleigh ride for a while now, this made me so happy!
Great to hear!
The first snap I did that the rehearsal before our concert and got the whole band to do it together. It was a good day
I wanna be that trombone in the back, just vibing with the music and having fun
As a high school alto sax all I can say is yes.
no one is talking about the slapstick guy running and jumping in front of camera behind these guys haha
I remember our entire department memeing about the running percussionists when watching the our concert's recording lmfao
i feel the trombone in the back knows he’s being recorded and trying to keep his eyes off the phone 😂
1:20 on is such a beautiful part honestly! Sounds so cool
the trombone player in the back was the real star of the show
wow this is amazing!!! i've never heard high school players with that good of tone and clean. how do you get such a beautiful tone? any techniques??
I’m playing this exact arrangement in band this year, nice to hear you guys play it
The remember back when we had to use instrument masks, still have mine.
