      @@themischiefjournal God loves you and wants a relationship with you. He doesnt love your sin but God did something amazing. For God so loved the world that he sent his only begotten Son that whosoever would believe in him would never perish but have everlasting life. Jesus Christ is the Son of God who came as God in the flesh. He lived a perfect sinless life. He taught people who to live and treat others. He was hated and was crucified and died on a cross for your sins, was buried and was resurrected on the 3rd day. We cant die for our own sins because we are not good people and needed a perfect sacrifice,in our place. Gods standard is perfection. Jesus taught to love your neighbor as yourself and to love the Lord your God with all your heart, soul, mind and strength. Us as humans are selfesh and rather love ourselves and the things that benefit us. Jesus said if your eye causes you to sin pluck it out. He also taught that hating someone in your heart is murdering them in Gods eyes and that lusting after someone is commiting adultery. Jesus loves you very much and can give you peace, love and joy. He can deliver you from addictions, suicidal thoughts and depression just like he did me. Repentance must be made though which is changing our mind and turning away from sin and changing the way we are going. We must be remorseful for sinning against a just and holy God who loves us and gave his life for us and was beaten, spit on and mocked so we can forgiven of our sins. Cry out to Jesus to forgive you of your sins confess Jesus is Lord and believe in your heart that God raised him from the dead and you will be saved from Hell and be given Holy Spirit to dwell inside you and help you life a holy life.

  • @Goobastank
    @Goobastank 2 หลายเดือนก่อน +32

    I have so much to say about these results. This has been happening to me with my vintage submissions too. I am flabbergasted at the random low grades. I have submitted about twenty cards an order, seven orders over about a year and my pregrading predictions are on average 1.5 grades lower than expected. Some of that are random 3-4 grade lower than expected grades. I have two theories - 1. Graders that are looking at ultra modern are switching over to vintage grading because they are so far behind (on vintage) and are hammering cards that are not 9’s and 10’s like they are used to. Theory 2 is that they are using scanning technology (like Tag) and they are finding issues with the card that you could only see with a microscope. People submitting vintage today are the guinea pigs for them trying to figure out what value to put on defects. A hi definition scan can show tens of imperfections. Maybe the value of those is a work in progress. Does all of this have something to do with SGC purchase? Buying more vintage graders? For now I am going to stop sending my vintage in until some consistency comes back.

    Chris, I’m so glad TH-camrs like yourself and others continue to do these PSA videos where the grades make no sense. It really exposes the grading system is nonsense in the hobby in terms of a strict pricing structure. Why are people paying for the grade if the grades don’t make sense? I see this all of the time in ultra modern where you can put 25 PSA 9’s and 25 PSA 10’s and you can’t tell the difference? Hopefully the hobby gravitates to ‘buy the card not the grade’ because this video is exhibit A as to why. But I’m not holding out hope as the obsession with grades has led us to the point where the grades don’t mean anything anymore.

    The problem is PSA has a monopoly. SGC tried to break that but collectors pay more for a PSA slab so that’s where sellers will send their cards. Back in the days before the internet we saw this same issue with price guides. Beckett was king and all others were ignored even if they may have been more accurate. PSA is not forced to have good quality control because of this and you get weird grades. I saw a Brooks Robinson 1957 rookie that was at best a 3 but the slab said 8 go figure.

    2 things. 1. If people keep sending their cards to them and don’t move on to other companies, they will continue to raise prices as we’ve seen and continue to give out bad grades. My guess is the graders have changed as you see how greedy they are (weren’t giving promotions and/or raises even though the influx of cards is growing and now charging more money… they’re just keeping the extra money) and new graders took their spot that aren’t trained well enough nor qualified hence the off grades. 2. If they continue to do this it will finally cause them to crash and other grading companies will take over as the top spots. By then though the top people at PSA have made all the money they need and they’re not worried if that weee to happen or not… thoughts?

    Looking at what you showed, and not in hand, my first and only thought was they're following their guidelines more strictly on surface and centering issues, granted the authentic-3 grades were puzzling. But I do think you need to loop, and maybe you do, the corners and surface more closely, after starting and stopping the 58 Mantle /Aaron a dozen times I could see some surface issues and possible corner crease upper left, also the dot on the back in the border I would need to see under loop to see if that's a print defect or something else. If you requested no qualifiers on your order I could understand the 56 Aparicio going from a 6 o/c to a 4. Anyways the cards have great eye appeal for the grades and will probably bring top or surpass other comps for that grade.

    PSA is basically no longer providing the service you are paying for with vintage submissions. Their problem is unqualified employees handling material out of their depth and working under a time limit. I also have a feeling they might be trying to push vintage subs to SGC now that the parent company owns them. PSA is set up to handle modern, i.e. quickly give modern orders a pre determined gem rate and move on to the next fleecing.

    I just started looking into the whole modern day scene after having 50,000 cards from early ‘50’s to early 2000’s laying dormant mostly since mid-80’s then buying my kids’ friend’s collections when they grew out of it and wanted cash.
    So my initial reason for digging out the many large chests from the closet was seeing many of the cards I had collected and put under protection immediately back in the late 70s early 80s going for these high prices at auctions. Like the 1980 Ricky Henderson Rookie, which I knew I had at least 10 of that card, 2 of which I sold to a guy at a show in the early 90s for $125 each. So I started watching the the auction stuff and videos on the whole grading thing. Where I’m thinking “Well, I know I must have SOME 10 grade cards out of all the cards I have(because I took care of my cards even as a 9-10-11-12 year old, going to early card shows with my dad and using ALL the money I made working for $2/hr at our custom furniture store, and bidding on different “lots” of 800 1969 Baseball cards with like 30 star cards included for like $25. I just saw one of those boxes that was a lot of 50 1955 including 2 Aarons, Killebrew, Jackie, and some others for $33. I liked getting a chunk of older cards, and bidding against 40+ year old men was kind of fun. I always thought the cards were underpriced. And was quickly proven right not many years later.
    Anyway, now after getting some knowledge about the whole program and thinking about money and how people get with money, I soon came to believe that GOD himself could produce a perfect 1959 Mickey Mantle or 1980 Ricky or 75 Brett, and there ain’t a snowball’s chance in hell any of them would be considered for a Gem mint 10 grade. NOT in 2024, NOT A CHANCE!!
    That money has already been locked up and put into a few hands. It’s a closed game that is now just selling the fantasy by dangling those massive auction paydays out there to induce people into getting their best conditioned cards submitted so some stoner can look over your cards with enhanced vision picking apart your cards because EVERY card is flawed. I know because I have a microscope and I’ve looked at perfect cards. And they all look shifty under magnification. So any grader can justify downgrading any card anytime, “oh see that little dot that no one can see with their naked eye? Ya see, it’s not a 10”
    It’s a JOKE! They have ruined the whole thing. So you could line up 20 pristine 1980 Ricky Henderson cards, and give them a quick scan and see they all are great. So instead of ALL of those 20 cards getting say $3-4-5K or more each, they pick one winner and dump $100k on them, and the others are seen as losers worth 1/100th of that one. What a bunch of Fu#%ing A#%HOLES.
    Everyone should boycott this God-complex monopoly and let the dealers make their own prices with each other and decide the condition of the cards in-person at shows like men.
    What needs to happen is there needs to be an outside audit of PSA GEM MT 10 grades from every year going back to the first grades given. And I bet that a 1950s vintage GEM MT 10 2007 graded card and a 2024 7-8 grade would be almost indistinguishable in a blind test? There needs to be a big blind test done with cards that no one knows when, who, what, where, why a card was graded, or if they were ever graded at all. From every year and a big cross section of cards, and see how the lower graded newly graded cards end up standing up to the older graded cards. I’d bet BIG MONEY you would find that the newer graded 7-8-9s would rate at least as high as older graded 10s.
    It’s the only way to bring any accountability into this obvious money laundering-ish type scammy corrupted crap that is clearly going on.
    You can NOT pause and consider a grade because the pop will be impacted, that ain’t your job douchebags. Grade the fucking cards straight, cuz THAT IS WHAT YOU ARE SELLING. Graders don’t get to control populations? Otherwise you’re just organized crime and you’re all criminals.
    Any grader who ever has to pause because they know that there are only 2 known 10s and they are looking at the 3rd, THEY just became something other than a grader. They are playing God. And that is how it all feels.
    🙏🏼-“oh please PSA be nice to my perfect card?!”
    “Ah shucks a 4😔, Oh well maybe my next submission for $800 will be better?”
    A 10 MUST be a 10 if it’s a 10 like the other 10s

    • @hoiming
      @hoiming 2 หลายเดือนก่อน +3

      @@jude999 you can have confidence because they aren't rushing and are making sure they get it right before grading vintage. My guess is that they need to make sure the system understands the nuances of the edges of vintage cards, which are not as clean cut. So all the little holes in the edges are not necessarily defects, but some might be part of the original cut of the cardboard. They need to make sure the system is accurately calibrated. I'd rather they get it right than rush.
      You also have confidence because you get a grading report so you can tell why your card got the grade it did, and not just be guessing in cases similar to this, which happens in modern cards too.

This not only helps them operate more efficiently, but it makes their business easier to understand for investors .
