    This is how a video shoud be, short, sweet, straight to the point. I love the total lack of "fashion words" like "today", "go ahead and...", basically", "litterayl" etc.. I am subscribing. Thanks!

    Your videos should be a template for every other "how to" video. No fluff. Good, well laid out, easy to follow information. Thank you.

    Hi there. I have a quick question. First of all, I’m in the process of installing the rear tire on a 1996 KX 250 Kawasaki that I restored. Hence the question: What is the appropriate clearance between the swing arm and the rear tire ? I really will appreciate any advice you may be able to offer.

    My neighbor let me have an old 2001 KX 65 for helping him move. I haven't been on or worked on motorcycles in probably 20 years. I cleaned the carburetor, cleaned up the motor, changed every fluid possible, air filter etc...
    Once I got it started I remembered why i loved motorcycles so much. Now I just need to change the back tire and my fat ass is going to take this little KX out and hopefully not break anything😊

    Hey man I know this videos old hope you’ll find this comment, I have a 2000 kx80 and the rear axle rod refuses to come out of the bike. I think it’s insanely rusted and caked up inside it’s stuck. I’ve got it abut halfway out with a nut wrench and a hammer and a shitload of wd40, you got any tips or is my last resort completely rebuilding the rear end.

    I have a question: is it normal to have a left and right gap between the swingarm and the wheel hub, spacers, bracket?

    • @Fixyourdirtbike
      @Fixyourdirtbike  4 ปีที่แล้ว

      Does the hub slide side to side on the axle?

    Good morning
    I just changed the rear tire on my sons 2021 cr 250. We had to open the rear caliper just enough to remove and re install the wheel. After getting it all back together and pumping the rear break to close the piston on the caliper it just does not seem to grab like it did originally. Any suggestions? We can’t afford to take our bikes to the dealership when we have basic maintenance. Tires oil ect.... if anyone has any advise I would really appreciate it.
    Thanks everyone

    1/2” or 3/8 breaker bar? I’m new to working on bikes and was confused on which would be the better option to go with...

    On my pit bike the nut on axle bolt seems to be really hard to loosen. Not sure if I can even get off ( need to fix flat tire).

    • @Fixyourdirtbike
      @Fixyourdirtbike  4 ปีที่แล้ว +1

      Pit bikes usually use a locking nut, so you will need to use some force.

    • @DirtbikeDad
      @DirtbikeDad 4 ปีที่แล้ว

      Turned out they cross threaded the nut on my axle from factory so I had to replace it as do the tube

    • @Fixyourdirtbike

      Will your axle slide in the swingarm? Are the adjustment bolts touching the axle/block?

    • @Fixyourdirtbike

      Soak it with anti seize, then put a block of wood on the axle, then hit the block with a hammer. Sounds like your bearings are seized to the axle.
