Nah kfc has some really good deals. You can get a bucket of drumsticks for like 10 bucks with that nuggets for free. On top of all that all sandwiches are half off right now

The problem with the Chicken Littles is they use the smaller chicken strips and those are the first ones to dry out when they're sitting in the warmer. It's a roll of the dice on how fresh their least fresh tenders are at any given time
I think the problem with KFC is that it's product consistency has always suffered from region to region, my local KFC is trash but KFC from the airport was always top tier.
Even more than that, it differs from day to day. A month ago I had extra crispy dark chicken and it was somehow breaded with like a shell that shattered perfectly and wasn't too crumbly, literally so good but has never been like that before. I thought maybe they'd changed the extra crispy breading and I was excited to have more next time, but it was just the regular breading again
Yeah, it can range from "basically okay" to "might as well not...". There was a KFC near me a couple of years ago that was basically okay. Didn't wow anyone but didn't suck either. When it closed, I went to the next KFC a few roads down and it was one of the most horrible fast food meals I've had. They didn't have bread for the chicken burger, the breading on the chicken was mush and just peeled off before I even took a bites. That essentially swore me off of KFC.
This is what I was going to say. Its a problem with most US fast food places. Sometimes I get bad breading on KFC chicken, though I don't know the last time it wasn't tender and juicy. Honestly, their chicken sandwich, any time I've had it, is close to the Popeyes one in my experience and above Chik-Fil-A but saying that seems to be blasphemy in many places.
Yeah, my local KFC was known as a black hole of suck when it came to any sort of competence with the staff. Even made headlines at one point when they somehow managed to recharge everyone who had ever used a card at that location over the previous several months.

Honestly? F this place for taking ALL their 'spicy items', except for the shrunken hot wings, off of their international menu. I LIVED for their big and spicy chicken pieces and they just went "by HQ's request, we don't sell these anymore." WHAT DO YOU MEAN YOU DON'T SELL THESE ANYMORE?! THAT'S WHAT Y'ALL WERE FAMOUS FOR!

@@shirasho sadly the only Wedges i ever got from KFC were tasty, but hella dry. i'd give them a C- from memory, which means the Fries are a slight upgrade.

here in australia we've NEVER had wedges and only ever had chips (fries) so it's wild to me hearing that the fries are a newer thing in america.

I honestly don't know why they don't just put the saucy nuggets in the famous bowl? yall can see it right? it would be way better and not as bland. plus they would have more options on the menu which I guess could help drive in more costumers? idk
This menu is soooooo different to the Aussie KFC. Australia has heaps more chicken burgers, stuff like popcorn chicken and burger boxes (burgers with chips, soft drink, potato and gravy and a chicken side like chicken pieces or popcorn chicken).
I'm guessing the Patrons had a say in which items were chosen and they didn't choose a lot of the different chicken burgers...
@@emile_jeanne just from his description it sounds like our chicken burgers are way different. Like every time I've had a FIllet Burger from KFC they are SUPER saucy which is really flavourful.

They are hit and miss. The good ones are REALLY good. The bad ones have dry-ass chicken and unflavored mashed potatoes and fries.
Yeah, our KFC is really slow and the food isn’t that good. Last time we went to a different one, we waited for 10 minutes before we even got our drink cups because they were understaffed and barely keeping up with the drive thru. And by they, I mean one girl while two guys just stood around

My 15 year old son used to get those KFC bowls with like mashed potatoes, chicken, corn, gravy, vegetables, etc. To me it looked god-awful, but he really likes them. No matter what you do it always ends up this mix of KFC sludge.

KFC's potato wedges were much better than their current famous fries, every chain restaurant sells fries, there's not many places you can get hot potato wedges aside from like a local deli or pub
Apparently KFC used to sell ribs and fish. I remember the fish at least being good. I don't think they still sell ribs. It'd be neat if they brought it back, I don't know if they still sell fish. I know the ribs wouldn't be great, but it'd be nice to at least have the option. To get a bucket of ribs and two sides for like 20 and change, I wouldn't be opposed to that. Also, KFC and a lot of other fast food companies test out new items in like ass-ends of nowhere midwest, there's like a test-store in Kentucky that has some public records of examples. Supposedly there was something called the "Mega-leg".

I swear, back in the day you used to get way more chicken in the famous bowls. They're cutting corners to save costs.
Unironically, KFC is actually pretty dam good compared to other fast food. There are very few items on their menu I don’t like. Their famous bowl, pot pie, chicken sandwiches, seasoned fries, and biscuits are all great. My only problem is they are SO DAM EXPENSIVE. Maybe it’s cuz I live in Alaska. I would eat there more if it was cheaper.

Totally agree with the chicken pot pie! That one's awesome! I take an order home and put it in the microwave to melt lots of cheese on top. That stuff is heavenly on a rainy day.

Man you must have a great KFC. Even that chicken tender looks good. We stopped going to the ones around us in NJ years ago because while the chicken meat was always cooked through, the breading was always soggy and fucked up with oil. Like no one fried right. :C

Crazy how different fast food chains menus are across the world. Over here we have almost none of that stuff in our KFCs. But the stuff they do have is really good (to be fair: it has no competition over here).
Also I think it could be a nice idea to bring your wife more often to those videos. Her commentary adds a second layer.

The KFC pot pie is a sleeper. Most people don't think KFC is all that great, but it has its moments. I wish they used the old popcorn chicken recipe. The new one isn't great.
