In all your bites of the chicken sandwich. I didn't see you bite the off-center area. Which is the juiciest part of the chicken
You gotta give my man Dave some bites too, I wanna see his reaction.
"My connection to Jolibee is that I'm Filipino" 😂
that line went so hard
He bleeds gravy!!
Real tho
Took out the race card.
Final Verdict:
All Menu Items: (D- to A-)
All Menu Items Covered In Gravy: (S)
Jollibee is basically the Filipino version of McDonald's, and it's so popular that McDonald's is actually outnumbered in terms of locations over there.
the better* pinoy version
I prefer that tbh. McDonalds is too big
@@estefaam*subjectively speaking. Also we have a tiiiiiiiiny bit of bias.
Same as Hesburger in Finland. 75 McDonalds locations vs 273 Hesburger locations. I hope they spread to the US one day
I LOVE to hear that. McD's domination needs to end.
As a fellow Korean-American, when you said the spaghetti was sweet and had cut up hot dogs in it, I was gonna be outraged if you didn't like it. I was prepared to disown you, but I'm glad to see you have kept true to our heritage of inappropriately sweet foods and excessive hot dog use.
That doesn't sound bad, honestly. Are there for it online?
ayo chill 😭
Thats basically Filipino food. Compared to our neighbors filipinos like sweet food more than spicy. Almost all our food are sweet, and we also put hotdogs unnecessarily on everything
Not related to your comment, but your username and Cat Alhaitham pfp are PREMIUM!
I don't know if this is available in US Jollibee, but in the Filipino Jollibee there is a variant of the burger steak that comes with the biggest patty (Champ patty), topped with a sunny side egg, sprinkled with garlic bits, covered in gravy, and all that is placed over a bed of fries. If you order it at the right time of day, they will sometimes replace plain rice with the garlic rice from their breakfast meals, which makes the whole meal 100x better. Top tier Jollibee
Daaaaag, now I'm hungry. I want that so bad.
Best item sa menu for sureeee
Ill double down and add the best chickenjoy variant is the chicksilog breakfast. Chickenjoy plus egg and garlic rice. Done deal
i miss ultimate burger steak so muchhhh, i hope they bring it back this year huhu
Ultimate Burger Steak!!!
I really liked seeing Dave in the video. Obviously it's not something you could do every time, but I think having a second opinion or just a "brand expert" in these videos really brings a lot to it!
Agreed!
dave comin on to be like "im the expert on jollibee anyway i dont know what most of these are"
Maybe they said this in the video, but a good bunch of these items aren't sold in the Philippines.
yeah most of these burgers aren't in PH, some appear on limited-time. The chicken flies off the shelves in PH outlets but the burgers not so much, the fancy ones often have a wait time to prepare as only weirdos like me order them. The mac and mashed potatoes are definitely not sold back home
@@spartanB0292 yeah im just givin my friends a hard time LMAO
@@spartanB0292 Dave doesn't live in the Philippines though. they're at his house lmao
@@danmurawski5790 Dave says in his intro he lived in the Philippines for a long time, that's why spartanB0292 mentioned that.
Dave is the gravy of this episode. He made it even better.🍗
Agreed, he was so chill and awesome. I would 100% watch every episode with him in it. He was the consummate host. Generous and kind.
me who has never been to a jolibee: seems legit
👍🏼
it's really good! i recommend it if you ever can go :>
you're not missing anything dude
it's average at best fried chicken with cafeteria level spaghetti
I can't believe the artist that drew Senshi holding the Jollibee bucket predicted this video, credit to RaneBlu
also Jollibee is featured in the anime movie "Mobile Suit Gundam: Hathaway" because one of the settings is in the Philippines and the characters getting lunch in the restaurant.
Woah gundam in the philippines
I love the exaggerated “dive” in with each bite. 😂
Palabok really needs that acid to brighten the flavors
Ye, like the mike chen video from back then.
It happened here again.
you can tell big man goes hard in the kitchen, got the magnetic knife rack and everything
Biscuits, tenders, and mac & cheese are definitely just a Jollibee US thing. Not a thing here in the Philippines.
Wish we had the spicy chicken burger variants, though.
Yeah it seems like they've added items to the US menu to try to compete with KFC and Popeyes
Are there items that are on the Filipino menu that are not in this mix?
We don't even have Adobo rice
Chicken tenders though seem to be more than in the US. I remember seeing it in Hong Kong branches at least
When I last ordered Jollibee, I actually asked if they could add their spicy powder (the ones they use for the spicy chicken) on the chicken sandwich even if it wasn't an option. It's so much better with the spice.
tbf jollibee in the philippines doesnt have tenders, biscuits, adobo rice, or mac n cheese...... so i get dave's perplexity lol
surprised though that the sandwiches were almost sauceless
mhm, they must have adapted it to american tastes since the sandwiches are pretty much drowned in it over here.
The tenders are actually available here in the Philippines, at least the ones near my area.
@@xecillmaze4740 naalala ko dati nung 2000s ata merong chicken tenders (marketed as "cripsy chicken strips") pero over time nawala din.... ngl namimiss ko nga siya minsan
ok i rly love how at the beginning dave opened the container of palabok bcos it needed to breathe
So this is the legendary Dave from the “Drawing Pokemon from memory” series? The ProZD universe keeps expanding.
No bucket of spicy chicken? 😱 That's the superior chicken bucket
They haven't been available for a while last time I checked
That and wrapping the rice in chicken skin and then dipped in gravy not a bite of each
Everytime I see the notification for let's try, I jump in the air and scream hip hip hooray
I immediately share it with a friend who I got into watching the let’s try food. I guess he some famous voice actor or something but who cares…more food lol
I jump threw my roof and explode everytime
I scream "yippie!!"
Jollibee gravy really is the glue that holds it all together. I can put that on almost anything
Yeah I felt like all the burgers needed to be dipped in gravy.
@gabibike2949 yeah, every time he complained about it being dry, I was yelling "dip it in the gravy!"
I’d be so pissed if I bought every item on the menu and they forgot the lemon packets 😤
Dave needs to have you back for a proper Filipino feast. Adobo, pancit, lumpia, kare-kare, sisig, lechon...
Dave is based as hell for that Jeff Rosenstock shirt. 🔥
Omg I was thinking this too
I saw Bomb the Music Industry live. Love them!
clicked on the video just for this shirt
I have that same shirt
@@wovenbasketcasesame
Was thinking ProZD would hate Filipino spaghetti, but I’m so glad he liked it lol. It’s such a weird concoction but I grew up on the stuff lol.
"Thats a pretty big chicken"
"Uh"
*CHOMP*
Coulda been on triple d with that bite😂
I'm glad that Dave came back for this "Chicken Game" as he was the receiver of the last Chicken Game
Lived near a seafood city and fell in love with jollibee there, definitely my favorite fast food place. Thank you, Filipinos!
but what about the joyous red bug himself? is he meant to be left uneaten?
lmfao
Tell me your chinese without saying your chinese 😂
Summoned Filipinos UNITE 🇵🇭
We are here
Haha it's 4:15 I should I sleep
Here! 🙋🏻♀️
Present!!
tell me some things about this fast food place and why is it good? Should americans buy it?
One just opened in my neighbourhood and I’ve been curious about it. This is super helpful! Thank you.
As someone who's only vaguely heard of Jollibee, this was a real treat
They just opened the first Jolibee here in Michigan near my house. I haven't tried it yet, but I'm excited to try it.
Did you try it yet?
@@stahppls2293 I did. It was good, but I thought it would be better.
@@stahppls2293He went, but never left.
love the chemistry with Dave, tthe semi-regional food selection, and the Jeff Rosenstock
Gotta get that real ChickenJoy! Great video for the iconic Filipino restaurant ❤️🇵🇭
Jollibee fresh at the shop vs bringing to go 10 meters outside to a bench is literally night and day difference. You gotta sit in for Jollibee.
As a Jollibee head (Filipino) I'm deeply offended by the existence of the tenders and biscuits.... tsk tsk
oh hey you're here!! i see you in drawfee videos xdd fellow filipino ayee
Great video! I'm going to say half my enjoyment was looking at all the cool kitchen stuff in the background. That is a serious kitchen! I peep the tea cannisters too. Jollibee is so good. The chicken and gravy is great
I love how 'animated' the bites are. Sungwon really is a living anime character.
I love Dave's kitchen! Some beautiful pans and skillets hanging there.
ProZD tries every Jinro soju flavor.
I wonder where his friend was taking all the uneaten food.
i loved dave’s work on ok ko!!
also, i’ve unfortunately never had jollibee’s as there’s somehow never been one nearby me in any of the places i’ve lived thus far, but this’ll be great background audio for doing some spring cleaning (and so that i’ll know what to get if i ever get to finally encounter a jollibees in the wild)
i feel like they're more generous with sauce here in the PH for the sandwiches & burgers. for the the yum burgers, the sauce here is like a sweet ketchup + mayo mix (so its like a light pink color). for the chicken sandwich, i looked it up and they described the sauce as "umami mayo" but when i tried it, its kind of like a honey mustard (ish?) but not so sweet kind of sauce
I found that sandwiches in the PH were always way too saucy and sloppy. Westerners don’t typically use that much sauce in sandwiches. They’ve been adapted to local tastes and preferences.
That's an awesome Jeff Rosenstock shirt!
*The Phillipines has entered the chat*
I feel like the delay between getting the food and trying it really lowers the scores. Hot and fresh makes a lot of stuff a lot better. However I realize that isn't really possible unless you filmed in the store or your car.
As a fellow filipino, i can confirm that Jolibee Gravy indeed flows thru our vein.
Peak friendship is exclaiming at how bad some food is and immediately wanting to share the experience lmao
The chicken tenders, mac & cheese, mashed potatoes are exclusively for the American consumers. We don't have any of those in the Philippines. We do have chicken nuggets, though, which is a new thing that Jollibee has
As a Filipina, I’d say most of the ratings are pretty spot on, as far as shared opinions go. Thanks for covering Da Bee 🇵🇭
Dave looks like that Filipino dad who brought Jollibee for the kids because there's no food at home
idk why its not in most Jollibee review videos, but you missed one of the best items on the menu which is the "Tuna Pie", Its basically the peach mango pie's crust but it has a creamy tuna filling.
I really enjoyed this format, and it looked like you had a lot more fun filming it.
These videos are my comfort videos. It's like, I literally find the sounds of ProZD chewing to the quirky fun background music soothing now.
That’s funny but I absolutely love it
5:10 I literally said to myself at the start of the video "it looks like a burger van burger from outside a football (soccer) game"
Probably means if I ever visit a Jolibee here in England (they've started to open up) I'd have to avoid the burgers.
Him taking a bite out if that mango pie almost trsumatized me. I remember doing that and burned my mouth
You’ve alerted the hord
Of Filipino
12:52 “put gravy on everything, baby” 😂
wow multiple camera angles. I must be in for a treat.
Talking about McDonald's in the philippines I wish McDonald's in the USA had the fry powder shake packet things! It's amazing
You need that calamansi on the palabok otherwise it's just too bland. Great video though it's cool to see you eat food from my childhood.
I celebrated my lastest PET scan before I was officially declared in remission from cancer at Jollibee.
Anyway, I like my veggies, so I feel somewhat disappointed when I eat the Jollibee chicken sandwich with the single lettuce leaf.
Jollibee-Minus: The Episode
"If you cut me, jollibee gravy comes out of me." So true lmaoo
They have all the names on the wrapper but he keeps trying to guess haha
We Filipinos use spoon for everything.
Rice? Definitely!
Chicken? Pry that thing open!
Steak? Believe it or not, we can slice that thing up with a spoon.
knife is almost nonexistent in a filipino household i realize haha
Hey I just wanted to say congrats for Delicious in Dungeon. You did great and I didn't even recognize it until I looked it up.
YO, Dave repping Jeff Rosenstock with that HELLMODE shirt. Mad respect.
I need those coconut pineapple pies back. They were magnificent and I'm sad it was just a seasonal item.
I still can't believe they don't do Adobo rice in the Phils.
Like how this guy ask "Save the best for last?" As a Fil-am, there are some items that I know wont meet american taste buds, and he gets it. Especially I get how non-pinoys will feel like theyre offending us when in this case, we can agree too. Like the burgers are not the best including the fries, and the jolli-spaghetti I LOVE, but i know its not the spaghetti USA knows haha
i always wonder what they do with the food after these videos…
I love Dave in this video. He gives enough context to the brand, but still lets Sungwon lead the show. He's very thoughtful as well with prepping the food items to ensure a smooth review session. Seems like an absolute cool dude!
Has anyone told you that you kind of look like FixItMan78?
he keeps doing the anime girl huge chomp on the burgers
Interesting. I've never really heard of this place. But I hope you'll do a video on Totinos Pizza Rolls sometime soon.
I'm so glad that TH-cam has a feature that shows other comments left on the channel.
This man wants a totino's review and *nothing but* a totino's review, and has been asking for it for like 3 Let's Try videos straight lmao
@@davidk7439 I respect the commitment
@@davidk7439 He's definitely been on this mission for more than three videos. I don't know how long, but longer than that. I've only seen such determination in shounen protagonists.
I’ve watched the Eat the Menu jollibee episode so many times and now I have TWO videos were someone eats everything at Jollibee! Twice the fun
it's okay you can roast the burgers, personally i only go to Jollibee for chickenjoy and burger steak (ultimate or otherwise). and maybe the pies.
Thats a kitchen to be proud of
I was struggling to fall asleep and these videos always do it. Perfect timing! Can't wait to watch it for real tomorrow!
Dave out here trying his best to hold back his rage at some of those b minuses
My man really puts his WHOLE neck and head into that singular bite.
NO WAY YOU GOT *THE* SCROTUMNOSE ON!!! OMGGGGGGGG I love his art so much I STILL have his animal crossing and the wind rises prints on my wall after all these years while I've changed or took down every other print on there. I hope he does cons again one day...or opens an online shop for stuff- okay done freaking out so i can watch the whole video lmao
Hamburger steak becomes S tier if you add a crispy fried egg on top and add more gravy
i am so obsessed with sungwon's eating animation .... like he really DIVES IN to that bite ...
I was so proud and happy that Sung Won got to try them all with his pinoy friend. It made it that much more wholesome.
I like what prozd's channel has turned into lol It's getting more complex and stuff
How is every Filipino the chillest person? Jollibee is on my bucket list.
Hope to try Jollibee someday, I’ve seen that they’re a few in the texas area .
Someday I want to try Jollibee though they're not really near me atm but now I'll have an idea of what to try!
I’m willing to bet more than half of the viewers and commenters are fellow Pinoy. I can literally taste the food as he eats it lol
Im Filipino and I can confirm that my blood type is Jolibee Gravy Plus
Going full T-Rex with those chomps. Love it.
I just keep watching people eat this brand and I still haven't gotten any to try.
I enjoyed that. Like you said, it's your thought.
Even in the 70's when we go to Jollibee after church. We go for the Chicken. When burgers and hotdogs were added. I went for the hotdogs and chicken. Always the chicken with gravy. I've eaten and compared Jollibee chicken to other fast food places. Maybe I lucked out, but it's not greasy, always juicy and crunchy on the outside. And it doesn't "Cluck". Lol
I've had, countless times, re-cooking the bone in chicken. They're bleeding still and you can taste the coppery blood. We call it "Salmonella" Fried Chicken.
Thank you for this segment. Stay safe.
I would never have imagined that someone would dsecribe palabok as "vermicelli noodes with seafood and garlic sauce". makes it sounds so fancy lol.
5:21 The hamburger helper part is so funny lol, love this
Dave is cool as hell! Glad to have him in the video
