  • With over 40 years in the music business, Sammy Hagar doesn't really need an introduction. The Red Rocker dropped by the Austin studio to talk music, tequila, fame and giving back. He is out on the road touring with his band The Circle. www.redrocker.com/home

Yep same...i cant believe ill be 42 in aug and listened to his music since i can remember...probably about 8 y.o....but i can say i never gave him a chance. I always thought...sadly in my ignorance...that david lee roth was the better singer. But now i realize although dave was a great showman and runnin with the devil will always remind me of my youth...sammy was and.is a great singer and all.around great guy. DLR is not such a great guy. Egocentric as hell and really has reality fucked up about how it was back then lol

Great job with this interview! I always felt Valierie, Edward's ex-wife, had more rough things to say about Edward's behavior in her book than Sammy did in his. There are so many videos on You Tube where you can actually see/ hear Sammy telling Edward to stop smoking or to do some kind of behavior mod that Edward would just ignore him. So, big props to Sammy for trying to keep that band going. Love all things Sammy--I love Roth years too but VH's best days are behind them, sadly.

71 - "Dam" he looks late 40s it's the rock blood ... Dug this view !😁 What a heart giving back to food bank & charities close to his heart. I'm now going to have to buy Sammys book. As he speaks of his days & Eddy it's odd how you can spend your youth with a band become closer than family and end up never speaking again as if you never had been, I spent my entire youth with my old dudes and I haven't heard from them now for what 21 yrs. Infact, Gary Cherone, use to warm my ass up way back in our day with The Dream til he met Nuno, formed Exstreem, he wasn't going anywhere, had that hit wonder timing , sadly it didn't work for him and Halen . I actually think Halen blew up when they got the voice & talented dude Sammy thats, thats, its over sadly all good things come to an end - Life has to go on its timing , time is worth all the money in the world, cherish it.
