A Head End View to the Summit of Mount Washington Aboard the Cog Railway - 08/17/2024

Also on the agenda for my trip to New Hampshire was a ride to the summit of Mount Washington aboard the Cog Railway. The Cog Railway has been bringing people to the top of the mountain since 1869, and while most of the trips are now operated with biodiesel locomotives, I opted to travel the traditional way via steam.
The weather turned out to be better than expected, and wasn’t too chilly at the top. The timing of the ride wasn’t ideal for recording, so my apologies for some imperfections in the video due to sun glare or vibration causing the glass in front to distort the view at times. For the most part of the ride, this isn’t that noticeable.
