I was 9-years-old when my father took me to the top of Mount Washington on the cog railway (1962). We had a little summer cottage on Lake Winnipesaukee when I was a kid.
Love driving to the white mountains and around Lake Winnipesaukee! My first trip to the top of Mt Washington was on the auto road as a kid. It was terrifying! Did not get on the cog RR until I was adult. It's a great day trip. Thanks for watching and commenting!
I think the steam cog locomotive is an incredibly interesting machine and imagine it makes for a very interesting subject to draw or paint. Thanks for watching!
Yup! Lot of moving parts on those steam locomotives. Don't forget that pervasive lubricating oil smell around the loco as well! Thanks for watching and commenting!

It is a great experience
It really is a great experience. Especially when the weather is good. Thanks for watching!
Hi, I'm a highly prolific artist and I've drawn No.1 "Peppersass" and No.8 "Loosilauke"

@@Northeasttrainyard, I've also created 2 drawings of The Mount Snowdon Gog Railway and The Manitou & Pike's Peak loco No.4
I remember Peppersass! I took a black-and-white photograph of that little engine waaaay back in 1962!!!
Great video the weather looks great 😊 thanks for taking the time to record 🙂
Thanks! The weather couldn't have been better. I think what haze you can see in the distance may have been from the Canadian wild fires.
Love that ride
It is a great, and classic, New Hampshire thing to do!
What if the brakes fail lol 😅
Trust me, it was on everybody’s mind! We just tried not to think about it. Thanks for watching!
The steam loco is nasty. It is noisy, dirty, (don't wear white clothing) smelly, and slower than walking.
