Girl - you’ve got a plant addiction! 🤣🤣 Love your infectious enthusiasm! I’m near Raleigh, and I’ve understood the ‘Homestead Purple’ verbena to be the only perennial verbena…..disproved in my own yard with a lovely lilac variety that survives in a container. Fully neglected and still pretty. The Artemesia (wormwood) is a garden hog that grows boldly and shows off its silver beauty. I used this as a “filler plant” in a part-sun area. As you know, these Carolina weeds will take over your garden, they are fierce! Wormwood has been a good support for my garden efforts by covering up a large area and cutting down on the weeding chores. Silver foliage simply lights up the landscape. 👍🏻 (Another fave of mine is the ‘Von Stein’ lambs ear - absolutely NO WEEDS grow thru a pretty patch of these. They look great 10 months out of the year. A quick & gentle hand-pull of the faded leaves in late winter revives the patch). You got a GREAT HAUL! Enjoy! ❤
Thank you for sharing the info about the Artemesia! That is new to me and I could certainly use help cutting down on weeds! There's certainly no hiding plant addiction! 🤣 Thanks so much for this message! 💚
@@mycarolinagarden indeed, those weeds! Looking for all the help I can gather. My new tactic is to weed an area and let my pet hens follow me around and scratch up the soil. Good and bad aspects there….but, I DO get eggs 🤣🤣🐓
Rub your fingers through that Artemesia. It has the most amazing scent! Enjoy 😉 Mine are 3 feet wide and thrive right through our Texas heat and drought and ice storms lol
I don't know how I missed the scent of the Artemesia. 😁 My excitement over the sales distracted me, I guess 😂 So great to know how tolerant it is!!! Thank you for sharing!!!
Haha, yes, hop on 40! 😁 I use to have Rose of Sharon when I lived further north and it made SO many babies I'd toss them out 😬 Looking at prices these days, it'd be like tossing money out the window. Hope yours has an amazing year!!
You are right about sakes at lowes I’ve got lots of plant half off with no real issues. As for mulch I like to buy the pine bark mulch which usually goes for about $2.70 per 2 cuft bag and that’s the regular price. If you don’t have to have red or black mulch this is a great deal year round
Great choices I can’t wait to see them in your garden & on sale is the best. I purchased 5 bags of the same mulch & put it out today. Mulch makes everything look so much better.
Hi! Thank you so much! You should find some good ideas that should also work well in Florida. In fact I did a video last month that compared my zone 8a with Cocoa Beach FL, zone 10a, and there were some BEAUTIES in Florida! Like Bougainvillea and Cordyline to name a couple. Wishing you good luck!!! 🌺🌞
@@mycarolinagarden Thank you so much to take your time to answer me back. I definitely continue to follow you, You earned a subscriber, also thank you for your advice, God bless you!
