    How is a lack of awd a major problem when your never in a situation when you need awd? This is a fantastic ride for commuting that is very well equipped. The Japanese rivals may feel more sporty with how they are tunned in select trims.

      It helps keep the car on the road and it’s better with traction. It’s a great vehicle but it would be awesome with awd.

    I traded in a 2020 Honda Accord Touring for this over a Tesla and Accord Hybrid a few months ago. While I miss the power sometimes, a hybrid is about saving MPG. I think if they made AWD an option then the MPG would drop. Same goes for larger wheel sizes. The first thing I noticed when I drove this is the car is so much smoother and softer than the Accord and the steering is very light. I'm not a fan of the pedestrian warning noise it makes when traveling under 25 with the engine off. It sounds better than the Tesla alien ship noise when reversing, but I wish there was a way to turn it off or just down.

    Let’s be real, with good snow tires and driving responsibly, FWD is more than adequate even in snowy states. AWD has become an excuse for people not to get snow tires and gives more confidence in snow and ice than they should.

    Great review This is a really nice car and so well equipped. Question would you go with this or the Camry? Personally I love the looks of the Sonata so much more. That mileage still blows my mind. Is the gas engine shutting off similar to auto engine off features in other cars? I am not fond of that feature at all! How are you and the family doing? I was gone most of the day so I have not seen much news but I did see a bit and there is a good amount of damage but thanks God a much smaller loss of life than NC though any loss of life is so awful. Here it was only 94 today and hopefully dropping more each day. I should be able to be home the next few days which will be so great. Again truly hoping all is well for you all and that you are all safe and sound. Happy Thursday Anthony

      @@jameswalsh6131 thank you James. I would go Sonata it’s not only the better overall deal but the mpg is awesome. It’s smooth with a ton of features and it looks cool lol.
      We are out of power, it’s been over 24 hours, my cell service hasn’t been working, coming and going home is harder as some of the roads are underwater. Lots of trees have been ripped up but God bless we are on a higher point so the lake didn’t go in the house. We are all fine, most of the neighbors had problems with roofs, pool cages competing ripping out of the ground and the lake almost in houses. I will post pictures when service is working on the comment tab.
      That’s great weather, here is nice weather so it helps with no power 😁. All the windows open, hopefully it stays that way for you guys too.
      Happy Thursday James

      @@HawkeyeRides Oh thanks God Anthony that you are all fine. No power is not cool at all. I've thought about getting a generator since we do experience rolling black outs. It for sure sounds like getting around is a challenge and I'm so glad that the weather is not too hot. Hopefully you all will not experience anything like this any time soon. Yes our weather is not bad at all and is supposed to keep getting cooler! Hopefully your power will get back on again soon and life can return to somewhat normal for you. Happy Friday Anthony and again so very glad you are all fine.

    AWD isn’t needed where there isn’t snow and ice. Ive driven a 2020 Sonata SEL Convenience FWD on ice without any problem. AWD adds to the price of the vehicle, long term maintenance costs and decreases fuel economy. I passed on the Tucson limited hybrid because it only comes in AWD.

      Even where there is snow and ice. I’ve never once needed it. It would be nice in the deepest snow to help take off, but I’ve never been stuck in any front wheel drive car I have had. Snow tires on a front drive car work better than AWD without snow tires.

    I am out in the market to purchase a car, always have been a fan of Honda/Toyota.
    Deciding between Honda Accord hybrid EX-L 2025 vs Hyundai Sonata hybrid Limited 2025.
    I really like the Hyundai look but not sure if I am ready to compromise the Honda reliability.
    I currently drive a Honda EX-L 2003 , so either way it will be an upgrade🤣
    What's your take between this two cars when it comes to reliability?

    • @HawkeyeRides
      @HawkeyeRides  2 หลายเดือนก่อน +1

      Right now Honda has a recall on all hybrids where they can catch on fire. Almost every ev has had a lot of recalls too. Hyundai has been better on these recalls if that helps. I owned a Hyundai for over 10 years and never had a problem. I would recommend one even when people say reliability. Every vehicle has normal problems but most of the complaints on line are over 100k and 2-3 owners deep. Which every vehicle now has a lot of plastic under the hood and the built quality isn’t the same as the late 90s and early 2000s. That beens said you also have 5 years of a warranty where Honda only offers 3 years unless you extend it and pay more money. The savings and value is Hyundai but test drive both and let us know which why you go.
