Cross-shopped the Camry, Prius and Accord. The Sonata had some details that swayed me: Gas Hood struts, panoramic sunroof, no CVT, an unobtrusive well-designed dashboard, power trunk with enclosed hinges. I found the front seat interior to be more open and airy than the Camry. Terrific Highway cruiser. Hoping that since the design is a refresh that the powertrain concerns have been dealt with. Have to say that I find my dealership to be very poor for maintenance. Have been getting work done at Firestone instead. Time will tell if I made a good choice.
What exactly is it with the dealership service departments at Hyundai. I didn't buy the sonata Hybrid I bought the Camry instead. Mostly because I'm not a tech guy. But they were super nice on the test drive. But they were at Honda too.
I recently finished shopping a mid size hybrid sedan. I guess it's the new Big Three. Hyundai, Toyota & Honda. I'll have their own thing to brag about. Sonata loads up on technology. Accord handles the best. Toyota probably has the better hybrid system in addition to a 2.5 engine. I got one of them but don't want to start anything.
But if you want the Camry with the similar specs as Sonata, then camry would cost around 41-42 k, which is 2k more than the Sonata. Camry's xse model doesn't come with many options which are all standard in the Sonata hybrid limited.
Nice car. Value concerns with this cost factor. The amount one could save by buying a base non-hybrid buys a lot of fuel. I see all kinds of hybrid advantages but manufactures better get the costs down. Also likely better value retention eith Accord or Camry. No argument with product. Was curious about performance differences with Torque Converter Automatic and the single speed "devices" in Honda and Toyota. Excellent presentation!
The only thing I noticed was that on the 2025 version there is two separate places for the heated and ventilated seats, whereas on the 2024 (which I have) they are combined into one. Otherwise I didn’t see a difference between this 2025 and my 2024.
When I priced out the 2024 Sonata vs the Camry to get all of the features the same, the Camry was about $2,000 more. So yes, the Camry is cheaper off the bat, but to get the same features that come standard in the Sonata Limited, you have to add in all the optional upgrade packages on the Camry. It will all depend on personal preference if those features on the Sonata are worth it for you.

I wish Hyundai would show Canada some love and offer the hybrid here. As of now, not available.
Appreciate the minute details, very well explained, plz do more hyundai models, especially the 2025 tucson
Thanks. I have a 25 Tucson video on the channel.
@@chabbysrides will see, thank you
I can't help but question the odd name for a color, "my transmission blew...."
A lot of standard equipment you'd have to pay extra for in the Camry. I'd take the Sonata.
Very true. Thanks for tuning in.

whats the diffrence or additional features of 2025 vs last year 2024

Good review Mike. So what is your pick? This or the XSE Camry?
Mike. I just returned from test driving a Red with Black interior Camry XSE. What a phenomenal car!!! Loved it!!
XSE Camry. Better car even though I like the automatic transmission in the Sonata over the Camry’s eCVT.
It’s really well done. XSE is my choice.
Which one would you say is quieter at highway speeds?
They are both about the same. It all depends on personal preference.
Is the '25 still missing the HomeLink option?
I hate that they omitted this detail. Makes you wonder what else they left out...
It's the same as 2024. I see no difference between 2024 model and 2025 model
they should lower sonata hybrid price otherwise ppl will just end up buying toyota camry instead

@christyrattay5213 Good point! Thanks for tuning in.
NO, Camry is much better.
