Hello @fromagreatheight, if you're ever curious on the matter, we are a Radiohead Tribute band. I know true fans don't like any sort of tributes. But...We're not pretentious and we really put our love into it as true fans ourselves. Anyway, this message to let you know we exist and we're looking to be part of a network of fans that could help us gig 🙂. Thank you
You might not have a fancy backdrop but your pedal videos have been a deciding factor on 3 out of my 4 last pedal purchases in this last year. Thank you!
Check out the DigiTech Mosaic Polyphonic 12 strung pedal. Sounds amazing. I have a Variax and the Mosaic has a better 12 strung sound than my two V models.
This is simulating the body resonance... If they included a 12 string model it wouldn't magically give you the octave strings. Notice that he still had to use a capo with the mandolin setting.
Gotta love when the simulation sounds more like the real thing than the real thing.Like this, or the Dirty Little Secret. The bass sim is just crazy, maybe hit with a little vintage OD?
Your video sold me on this due to your exceptional ability to find the good in the product, then the world tilted before i made the purchase. Today I've returned when i got a sale alert to refresh my feeble memory and it reminded me that I should pay more attention here. Thanks for the video!
Definitely, definitely. That song was one of the first I hunted out tabs for as a 12 year old back in 2000 and was a weird backdoor to me getting into classical music, so I always had affection for it.
Ohhhh Can't wait to try this. I have neighbors and I'm a night owl... They never complain but now I can really jam out with headphones.... Thanks for this demo. It would be great if I can find one that can simulate with thigs like different body dimensions... wood types... etc...
That's very impressive for a small low cost pedal. Only the basses aren't convincing, I somehow expected the pedal would octave down shift for those. I guess it also ought to shift an octave up for the mandolin.
the bass settings are probably meant for fingerstyle playing, but I imagine they might be intended for making a regular bass guitar sound more like a fretless or a double bass
This is far the best accoustic Simulator that I've heard so far. The Boss, Mooer and Behringer are not credible to my ears, although I like their sound as is. I thin you can eq as much as you want, but you still hear the thinness of the source, the lack of natural resonance and the sustain. I think you can get away with this pedal in a live situation. Thank you for this useful demo.
As suspected; the steel string western acoustic guitars really sound like the real thing, but I've yet to hear/find a pedal that properly simulates a classical nylon string guitar. Although this pedal has it, it really doesn't sound like it ( good attempt though; maybe if played without a plectrum/pic? ). Still, for simpulating steel string acoustic guitars, this is a REALLY good one.
Thanks. I would like to ask if it is also suitable for a semi-acoustic guitar, with two humbuckers, with 12 strings. Is the sound of the original 12-string enhanced or is it all leveled as if it were a 6-string? Thanks
In a band setting that thing would be a godsend. I don't like carrying my Martin or even my big (and heavily modified) Hofner J-17 out just for a couple of songs so a pedal like this that does a good approximation of an acoustic sound saves a lot of grief as well as space on stage. I don't think it stands up on its own, although the editing software might improve that, but I don't think it's aimed at anyone who does a lot of acoustic playing anyway. If you still have the Zoom A-3 it would be interesting to hear an electric through the Hotone into that as against a piezo loaded acoustic. But only if you have the time and the inclination Brett.
@@davidpopelka4073 Only things I can think of are:- 1) Is the input selector switch set to magnetic? and 2) Is the balance set to fully wet? I've never used the A3 as a simulator, only as an 'enhancer', so I don't know how well it would convert an electric pickup to an acoustic sound. It did okay when I had a Baggs M1 soundhole pickup in my Martin but that is a dedicated acoustic guitar pickup.
It's a good clean sounds pedal, is not an acustic simulator, dont exist today one real acustic simulator but for change your clean sounds is really good.
That pedal should be called 'Emperor's New clothes', because it sounds nothing like an acoustic guitar - nor even a mandolin. All it's done is provided a number of EQ options, with all of them still sounding like an electric guitar. Thanks to this video, I avoided wasting my money.
split the signal - run one through this pedal and the clean through a equalizer to lower the tone or an lowered octaver a 12 string with a nice low end?
One greatest acoustic simulator, but MUST ABSOLUTELY BE UPGRADE ASAP. You basically have EVERYTHING YOU NEED on this pedal : Input, Through, XLR out, and Jack out. AND AMONG ALL POSSIBLE OPTIONS AVAILABLE, YOU DON'T EVEN HAVE AN OPTION TO HAVE "EITHER THE UNPROCESSED OUTPUT TO YOUR GUITAR AMP" (AND THE PROCESSED OUTPUT TO PA TURNED OFF) "OR THE PROCESSED ACOUSTIC OUTPUT TO THE PA" (AND THE UNPROCESSED OUTPUT TO YOUR GUITAR AMP TURNED OFF). That would be "the acoustic simulation effect" AND "a A/B Box" combined in one single compact pedal : _ 1 push on the footswitch _ boom _ you're with your standard electric sound on your usual guitar amp _ 1 push on the footswitch _ boom _ you're with the processed acoustic sound on the PA system
GREAT demo, Burgs! This pedal is definitely going on my short list!!! If it ever strikes you, how does it react/sound with a light/med dirt pedal after? Thanks!
Whoa! So close to buying the AC-3 till I saw this. I have a Les Paul with Burstbuckers. Would this pedal work with only humbuckers? Thanks in advance for any help
Thank you for a great demo. I got one as well, although I do have a problem with a "hiss". Noise gate helps while not playing, but removing the "hiss" with EQ ruins the tone. Also I'm using Tele neck single coil pickup. Wondering how you did it, as I can't hear any "hiss".
same. mine was very noisy. i wasn't impressed with the acoustic sound either. maybe it sounds better with humbuckers or prs like in the video but it wasn't sounding very accurate through my tele pups at all. i returned it
It's infuriating these pedal companies (all of them) releasing their products weeks or even months after the first reviews. By the time the pedals come out we've already moved...
Because a real acoustic has more dynamic range than an electric, I think you'd want it early in the chain - before any kind of compression. I haven't played it, but that's my guess. Anything ambient effects would go after.
I bought one of these and I have no idea how he gets these sounds out of this pedal. Maybe because he is not using an amp. It sounds absolutely terrible through a guitar amp on the clean setting with a strat . Mine is getting returned tomorrow.
WOW an acoustic sim pedal that actually sounds like an acoustic, and not just your electric with high end presence!
Sounds cool I think 🤔

I was very surprised… I’ve never heard an acoustic sim that sounded anything like an acoustic. This actually sounds very usable.
Brett is so Real. Even when he makes a mistake - he is so honest. Love your style brother. It actually Sounds really good - too.
First simulator I've seen that actually approaches an acoustic sound. No-nonsense, absolutely top-notch review! Cheers Brett. I'm a-gonna subscribe.
Wow, this is great. Best acoustic simulator I've ever heard!
You might not have a fancy backdrop but your pedal videos have been a deciding factor on 3 out of my 4 last pedal purchases in this last year. Thank you!
Love these sounds, you make the electric guitar sound like a acoustic guitar
I was waiting for a 12 string simulation. Would be more useful than an upright bass.
Both would be ideal for the loopers market! Think the mandolin setting should cover a 12 string kinda sound
There's a Mandolin the possibly hints at 12 string but not octave strings
Check out the DigiTech Mosaic Polyphonic 12 strung pedal. Sounds amazing. I have a Variax and the Mosaic has a better 12 strung sound than my two V models.

Way better than i imagined haha. Thanks alot for the demo
Excellent demo of a tremendous pedal. Thanks.
Burgs ya got me again Man. I wanted a Nylon String for Afro Cuban Jazz. The Double Bass is
an added bonus. Nice job.
Gotta love when the simulation sounds more like the real thing than the real thing.Like this, or the Dirty Little Secret.
The bass sim is just crazy, maybe hit with a little vintage OD?
Thanks for the review Brett. I gonna buy one right away.
Geeeze Burgs that is most probably the best sounding acoustic sim I have ever heard nice work thanks dude !!!
This got me excited.
And man that’s a great demo, your one awesome cat !
Your video sold me on this due to your exceptional ability to find the good in the product, then the world tilted before i made the purchase. Today I've returned when i got a sale alert to refresh my feeble memory and it reminded me that I should pay more attention here. Thanks for the video!
Whenever I hear an acoustic simulator I always think of Alex Lifeson. This one would do justice on "The Trees".
Definitely, definitely. That song was one of the first I hunted out tabs for as a 12 year old back in 2000 and was a weird backdoor to me getting into classical music, so I always had affection for it.
Great demo, and great playing too. Thanks for uploading.
Sounded great Brett! That mandolin was very convincing!
Very impressed with this Brett,.you and Pete Thorn are epic.
Thankyou!
Very impressed, I think they nailed it. I need this for "The Rain Song" reasons
New subscriber.
Woh i was searching for 3 years.
Thank you Sir
Great demo. Pedal sounds great.
If there were a way to simulate the sound of the strings resonating off the wood face, they’d have the acoustic sound nailed.
Ohhhh Can't wait to try this. I have neighbors and I'm a night owl... They never complain but now I can really jam out with headphones.... Thanks for this demo. It would be great if I can find one that can simulate with thigs like different body dimensions... wood types... etc...
Wow this actually sounds good!
Oh man, I need this little guy.
It does resemble an acoustic guitar sound albeit not exactly but close enough for playing live songs that require switching from electric to acoustic.
This is the best of these pedals I’ve heard…👍
Awesome. I like my AC-3 but without DI it's a pain, and the 'either or' switching option isn't very practical.
#9 is where it’s at for me. Great demo!
I’m blown away listening to this! Rain song
Best one i've heard yet!
Best comment I’ve heard all day: “I have to brush up on my Bach”
Can't find this ANYWHERE, arguably the best acoustic simulator.
I like it. I need one. And I wasn't even considering buying one. Sounds really convincing and good.
Awesome video!!! Would be great to have a comparison with the boos and the Joyo, which I recon are the most decent out there
I haven't heard the Joyo but this thing is a lot better than the Boss
Looks like the best one out there! LJ
That's very impressive for a small low cost pedal. Only the basses aren't convincing, I somehow expected the pedal would octave down shift for those. I guess it also ought to shift an octave up for the mandolin.
@ResoBridge I was thinking that an electric bass guitar put through this pedal would be a better test.
best simulator i have heard
the bass settings are probably meant for fingerstyle playing, but I imagine they might be intended for making a regular bass guitar sound more like a fretless or a double bass
I do not get inspired by the Bass sound.
I bought one of these. If it sounds as good as you made it sound, I can take one less guitar to a gig. Can’t wait till it gets here.
Nice. Been hoping for something better than than the Boss AC. Have you played it yet?
STATE OF BLITZ still on back order.
@@wolfnstrings Dam. Should be worth the wait hopefully. From Deluxe guitars?
@@stateofblitz From Prymaxe. Best deals I've seen it you ask.
@@wolfnstrings how is it?
Impressive Bach!! This jigger sounds pretty real - i've never considered an acoustic simulator before, but this might be worth a look.
Guitar Playing at it's finest!!
wow that sounds really really good
Perfect demo! Good job!
Sounds Amazing!!!......thanx Brett!!!......just bought mine!!!.....
If I knew this earlier. I would have just bought an electric guitar 😂😂
Is there a better AS on the market??? This is pretty dang awesome!
Totally took me by surprise.
Mind blown. Great demo.
It doesn't sound too bad.
Do they make one with a twelve string simulation?
Great video bud. Thanks!

damn, sounds good
Can you compare this with an acoustic simulation using the AxeIII?

Best review I have heard but...... still sounds like an electric!! I'm fussy!!
Thanks. I would like to ask if it is also suitable for a semi-acoustic guitar, with two humbuckers, with 12 strings. Is the sound of the original 12-string enhanced or is it all leveled as if it were a 6-string? Thanks
Love it, want one, cant find one... not even from the company

I have A3 and tried with just electric pickup and its not working. I cant hear anything to acoustic simulation.

Not bad. Better than the Fender one, I'd say, judging from this demo. Thanks!
Are the settings you're playing all preset? Thanks. Great demo.

we are still soooo far away for acoustic tone
Sounds cool, very dark, maybe single coils would be even better? I'd like one.
What was the little rift almost that he played in the beginning from , anyone know ?
anyone has any idea where to get this pedal?? Out of stock on amazon Canada :(
