I think you are missing a critical element. 98% of us golfers are weekend warriors. The Wilson LP is by far the best value. I own them and have played with them since July 2022. They have improved my game significantly and I only paid $640 for the set. I went from mid 90's to low 80's overnight. At 55, they are all I need.
I had the D300s and hit the LPs and both are extremely quick off the face. The LPs gave me a higher launch and amazing carry still - I love mine as well. I really like that you both tested these side-by-side and gave real results
@@Danjon1235 A Swedish store as in a store in Sweden, so I won't be able to get to them? (Although, when someone says a Swedish store, I just think of Ikea. 😅 )
Another senior golfer here. I purchased the Cleveland HB Turbo's last year with the graphite 'A' shafts. Very forgiving, high trajectory, fun to play. Managed an ace with my 6 iron, so they work quite OK!
I put the Cleveland in my bag beginning last year and am very happy. I did try the Cobra as well but found it not as easy to control but with similar distance. I’m a 73 year old with an 17 handicap. I do not pay much attention to looks or sound, much more concerned with my results. Thanks great video.
I've a slowish swing and played the HB Launcher for two years and loved its ease of use. I tended to dig my irons, and these really helped shallow my swing because of the sense that I was hitting hybrids.
I'm a golfer that's been playing for close to 10 yrs. on and off. I've always had trouble with irons, about 3 years ago my golfing buddies and I went to 2nd Swing and I saw the Cleveland Hibore irons they told me that I should try them out being I hit hybrids very well. So I did and haven't looked back, I'm 46 these have made me enjoy the game like I should. All I've done is work on my swing a little bit which I needed to do anyway. And all I do is swing and the club does the rest. So if you are upset with iron play like I was give them a try well worth it. A suggestion try finding single clubs first to see if it's for you like by a set of 3 like 5,7,&9 to start off instead of buying a full, just a suggestion.
First of all credit to you guys for doing this. Most golf youtubers wouldn't. I am a 22 handicapper playing T300's with a slow to middling swing speed. This video has got me thinking
I'm 51 and my handicap ranges from an 8 to a 12 (mainly do to my driver). I was using the Wilson C200's, I always had trouble hitting my 5 iron. I tried the Wilson LP 5 iron and loved it. I ended up getting the hole set but re-shafted them. I do have head covers for them. I am only about a half club shorter than my older set. When using these iron's, when I hit the green, they generally hit and don't move.
Always struggled with my iron game, but never with woods or hybrids. So got rid of my r7s and started using the Cleveland Launchers last year. They dramatically changed my iron play, and helped me drop from 20 to 15 last year. I’m in my 30s so swing speed isn’t an issue, but I can swing a little slower and focus more on strike. 7 iron goes roughly 155-165, gets up in the air, and stops when I manage to hit a green. For a hobbyist/weekend warrior like me, they’re great.
I’ve been playing the Trails for about a year now. I play to around an 8-10 cap but only hit the ball around a 145 carry with the 7i. I struggle with launch and spin. Like these guys they gave me the most spin out of any iron I’ve tried at that loft. Very underrated set of irons.
I picked the Cobra as well. High and soft, i feel like I know where its going . You are right though, they are very short distance wise, but it doesnt matter to me if i am hitting an 8 or 9 if it hits the middle of the green.
I would never have thought about Wilson before buying my launchpads but they were the 1st irons in over 30 years of playing golf that I felt like would smash the ball a long way b4 even hitting it. They sit behind the ball so nice. The only trouble I have had with them is it is hard to shape the ball left to right..
Thanks Dan. I’m a senior golfer that struggles to strike the ball consistently. I am due to change my clubs. Was thinking Radspeed but will now definitely look at T Rail.
I was introduced to these clubs by a pro golfer who plays them. They make golf more fun. I've been a 20 + handicap all my life and then on my pro freind's advice, I started playing the Cleveland Launcher Halo's. I started dramatically lowering my scores to reach a 5- 6 handicap in a just fews months. These clubs are remarkable in every way. They are easier to hit and you'll hit more greens because of the higher launch and greater control ( they go straighter). More green means more pars and more birdies. Miss shots means more bogey and doubles - plain and simple.
I game the Cleveland turbos , 11 handicap I played ping eye 2 for 20 years and got fitted for the cleveland turbos, they are a game changer for me, so easy to hit and to get airborne , everybody says they are ugly, I say looks don't help my score card
Hi Dan, I changed from Wilson to Celeveland HB turbo set : irons, wedges, hydrid, woods, driver, with Miyasaki graphite shaft. From the first hit they felt good: excellent control, also forgiving, and with driver also better distance with control. My hcp went down remarkably within 3 months, and the estimageis, that trend will continue now nxt season of 2022. I am very happy with the choice, and even if Cleve is not considered by many to belong the category of top brands, I think they would challenge and perform very well in blind tests, if that could arranged like they do wine tests! For club players over 5 hcp they can offer for very good value on money plus also competitiveness needed. But... There are many ppl, who buy only brand and sometimes choose for themselves too demanding clubs to perform properly. Well, that gives edge to players who are able to choose the clubs that fit to their ability and style. In this test you chose Cobra as winner, which result was well argumented. ✌️
I find it quite interesting when I hear or see a review of these clubs. I played the Cleveland's for a while and quite liked them but I didn't really find them any easier to use than I do any other club I've tried. You still have to put a square face on the ball from a fairly neutral path and get decent contact to get any sort of useable performance from them. I'm a slow swing speed player and the best thing I've done for my game is to put a 22° fairway in, a 26° and a 30° hybrid and then I play only 4 short irons/wedges.
I played the Hb launcher now for a year and have to say they are so easy to hit Dropped my handicap from 28 down to 18 I had to put my ego a sight to put them in the bag My golf buddy's where laughing at me but now I laugh at them Lee I think you have to be careful to categorize irons I am not a lady ,kid or senior Any one should try them ,but they won't Love your reviews Dan and Lee
Hi Dan, I use the Clevelands, love them. I play off 16, slow swing speed. They go the same distance as a regular iron would go but are far easier to launch. The six and five irons are great also out of the rough instead of having to use a more lofted iron to get out of it. Would recommend them, I think it's the look of them that would put most off using them, and the fact that some might take the mickey, but if your prepared to swallow your pride and play something far easier to use and lower your handicap then give them a go.
I play the Cobra T-Rails and I'm very pleased with their performance. They are easy to hit, launch high, and get great distance. I have tried multiple types and brands of clubs and these are definitely the best clubs for me. I'm a 70 year old senior with a 20 handicap. Also, my handicap has done nothing but improve since I started gaming these clubs.
I have been watching several reviews for these type of irons as I am thinking of buying a set, and the issue I have is that all of you use low or scratch golfers to test what is a mid to high handicap set of clubs. Therefore it is difficult to get a feel for what they play like.
Very much considering getting the Wilson Launch Pad 2 that came out this year. Look better than original Launch Pads and reviews say they truly will improve your distance and keep you in the Fairway more often..
Thanks for doing such a comprehensive review on these clubs. I've been doing lots of reading up on high handicap clubs and you have convinced me to go with the Cleveland launcher irons, driver etc based on your great reviews. I know you recommended the cobra irons, but alongside the Cleveland driver review I decided to go with Cleveland. Looks are secondary if I can get launch, height and some forgiveness
Playing T-rails (6-SW) since end of 2019 and absolutely the best irons I have used. The forgiveness and turf interaction are second to none and really shine in wet and tight conditions. Get fit with the right shaft and these are a game changer.
Dan and Lee, I have a set of the Cobra T Rail Hybrid irons ( I'm a senior golfer about a 17 handicap ), I have a 5 hybrid and 6 through SW in the hybrid irons. I've only played one round, so I can't really judge them yet but I like the feel and I think they will perform above my expectations. And yes, you need to have them in your bag with headcovers or they will chip up badly. I've watched you from the Mark Crossfield days and you've created a very distinct and enjoyable channel , everyone including Lester and lee and your brother + Wilber bring something to the channel.
Have been playing an older set of hybrid styled clubs (Adams) that were my Dad's. They are graphite shafts, senior flex, oversized grips and quite a large head. I didn't think I would like them but I do! I did pick up a little distance over my traditional cavity back irons (Adams - regular graphite shafts) but the big win is ease of playing them and forgiveness on miss hits. I even got an ace after only 5 rounds of use. I like them so much that I ordered a set of Cobra t-rail combo with graphite shaft (senior flex). They state they come with Lamkin midsize grips which you don't mention in your review but something that my Dad's clubs had that I liked. I'm 64 years old, shoot in the 80's consistently and hit my 7 iron around 140 yards. Excited to see how these new irons compared to my Dad's clubs, and my old Adams clubs. May the best clubs win!
Good review. Lee doesn't really get it but Dan does (as he said "I'd like to see a lot more golfers put these in their bag"). Way too many people think they shouldn't play these and should be playing 'players' irons.
Nice review Gents. Regarding the T rail, there is a new model on the Cobra site with changes to the rails on the bottom and what looks like a chrome strip on the back. They have also made head covers available, think the paintwork suffered a bit with bag knocks.
Great video but I don't get why everybody always says that they are for older or not very good golfers. I have just got back In to golf after 6 year break. I hit the ball well enough with my old clubs but wanted the game to be even easier and bought a full set of the Wilson's last week. I have pretty good ball speed and I am 35 years old. All I can say is that I have gained distance, height, control and confidence with them and that's all that matters. Even if I was a scratch handicap I would still play these as I don't see the point In making the game harder than it already is. Now I can swing smoother and still get the results.
I’m 76 years old and have never had a very good iron game. PGA Tour Superstore put me in a hitting booth and the Cleveland HALO irons tested best. I bought them but have been looking for reason to return them on their 90 day return policy but the more I hit them the more likely I am to keep them. I hit them comparing to my old irons and these are much better. Haven’t actually played a round with them yet but look forward to doing that this Friday.
Strikes me that you have a spread of club types there:- Wilson is a low spin distance monster, Cobra is a conventional iron replacement with mass and sole tweakery, and the Cleveland sits bang in between the pair. Something for everyone, even in this hollow hybrid iron category.
Fantastic Dan, been waiting for someone to do this review. I'm early 50's and was once a good single figure golfer. However, having come back to golf in recent years, I just want as much help as possible to make the game more enjoyable. Been struggling with my Titleist AP1 irons, so picked up a second hand cleveland 7 iron...what a revelation!! Easy to hit, plenty of height, and no problem with stopping shots on the green. Haven't noticed any distance benefit, but perhaps a fitting might help with that. Really love the look of the Cobra so might wait till the new ones come out and get a fitting done. Perhaps I might book myself in with you for that. Be worth a trip down from Monmouth
2 years ago, I had a freak accident on the course (stepping into a large hole that was overgrown with grass, so I couldn't see it) and dislocated my hip. I couldn't do anything for about 6 weeks but wanted to play after that. I needed a set of clubs that was easy to launch with a slower swing speed that I had to take until fully healed. I got those Cobra T-Rails. They were great when my swing speed was low and allowed me to enjoy the game for a good 4 months. The issue I had was when I was fully healed. Those clubs, as you saw, spin great but they spun too much for me at that point (I was spinning the 7-iron at 8000+ rpm so the ball was ballooning). All that being said, when my clubhead speed starts going down with age, I wouldn't hesitate to put those T-Rails into play. Just realize that the black paint comes off the clubfaces after about 10 rounds, so they won't look as nice as the one you were using after a short period of time.
I always wanted to see something on the Cobra's. I used to have the Baffler XL irons and loved them because they were so easy to hit. I've hit the Clevelands before and thought they were decent. Something about the Wilson just by looking at them that don't appeal to me.
I would consider mixing these into a set as a long iron replacement. I hit all my irons well up to my 5 iron. I've tried a 7 wood and don't really love it.
I suppose I'd better say that the better golfers sneer at these clubs! I'm a former golf professional, who played with blades (there was nothing else) persimmon headed woods and steel shafts throughout. In those days the maximum handicap, for men, was 24 and for women, 36. When Karsten Solheim bought out the Ping Karsten 1's, I bought a set of irons. They were easier to use and golf was more enjoyable. Ping prospered and heel and toe evolved to peripheral weighting and "blades" became longer nosed versions of the irons we used. Today, hollowed out irons, that have the look of blades are popular, but, because of the reduction, in lofts, 1,2, and sometimes 3 irons are not included in a set. I can, already see a time when iron sets start at 6 iron and the longer clubs are hybrids. So, with some golfers getting 2 shots + per hole, is it not time for easier clubs to be made available to all? Beginners need the help, older golfers, with diminishing swing speeds, would benefit and golf would be the winner!
Hi Dan great video I’m considering a 6 iron t-rail to fill a gap in the bag. On a completely different note it was great to see yourself and Lester in the pro shop last week , I was on holiday with my wife and we we’re just about to go out and play, the course was absolutely fabulous and we really enjoyed it , when we are down from Essex again we’ll just definitely come back and play . Thanks Andy and Tracy Reynolds
My index is 14 (and improving) and my swing speed pretty avg (90mph with driver). I got 5-SW in the Clevelands back in Dec. Still early days on course (only c8 rounds due to COVD) but I already know they’re gonna help me score better. Launch is a bit higher and distance up maybe half a club BUT... that’s not the real story: the biggest difference is forgiveness. Fat/thin shots go SO much better
I was previously fitted for the UHX irons (which I love) but the neither the Launcher (in 4 and 5 irons) or Halo (3 iron) could beat my old Nike VR-S 3-5 iron rescues when I went for a hybrid fitting at the end of last year. I was pleased with the 1.0-1.5 club improvement with the UHX irons over my Mizunos and hoped to get a similar boost from Cleveland's new offerings. However on the day I ended up getting something like 7-10 yards less and with worse dispersion . Fair play to the Cleveland/Srizon fitter who told me to stick with my old clubs and didn't pressure me to change.
Got a Cleveland Launcher 5 iron. Straight from the box to the course so no range time. Hit 5 shots with it in 9 holes - never hit anything easier. That has to stay i the bag as a replacement for the Titleist T300 5 iron. Came home this morning and bought a set 6 iron to PW - got to worth an experiment
Evening dan and lee good review guys once again the clubs they make now day to help golfers out are good and certainly seem to do the job there made I suppose it’s hard for all of us as we get older and slower as we get older it can be very hard for people to accept that we may not be able to hit as well as we used to so if you can get over the looks of them there very well worth try you have nothing to lose by trying them and I do use headcovers on all my clubs as as afar as I’m concerned they cost a lot of money and I’ve always been taught to look after my stuff plus I hate hearing the clanking of clubs going up and down the fairways I don’t see the need for it
I started playing with the old Tour Edge clubs similar to those and loved them. But when it came to touch and finesse I didn't like them. The one thing I took from what you said, "I don't need a 7 iron going as far as a 4 iron." I too want to depend on my club distance I have been used to. Thanks for the review. Excellent.
I dont play golf but partner at 64 is someone that plays every day if he could and has just put a set of T Rails in his bag (sw to 5 iron) and loves them. He has 4 and 3 hybrids. just needs the driver to work better as he slices a lot and hates it, any thoughts on what could help? apart from medication lol
I've been playing slazenger big ezze clubs for 10 years plus the first irons of that type I came across recently added the cleveland 5 hybrid which I love joined my first club last year currently playing of 15 im 61 so these types of clubscare brilliant for me keep up the good work
I hit these 3 today, I don't hit my irons very well so I'm going to hybrids. I didn't really care for the Wilson's but I loved the Cleveland and cobra, they were both very easy to hit and felt great. I think I could get the cobras a little higher and farther but both were very straight price might end up being the deciding factor 🤔
recently purchased the Cobra King Tec irons and have decided to replace my fairway woods (7-9-11) that I play as hybrids with Cobra T-Rail set (4-6) to create my own combo set of irons. I believe the T-Rails (played the Baffler hybrids previously) will give the same confidence as the fairway woods but more accuracy but maintain the scoring irons with more traditional irons.
Bought my girlfriend a set of these last year and it was night and day. We split the set at 7 iron and went with the t rail hybrids in 6,5,4. She almost never misses the green from 150 in. Let her have my headcovers to keep them from chipping.
I'm a 5 handicap and play the older 588 altitude version of the Cleveland iron and once I swing weighted them they play just as good as any club to be honest.
I used the Adams Idea Tech this year with the same tech as these from a few years ago. The performance is great and I’ve noticed that I concentrate on watching the ball and the look of the iron is irrelevant if you like the feel and ball flight which is high. They also have good spin and stop fairly quickly on the green. So, if you like this technology and want to spend a lot less, buy an older set of Adams Idea Tech. Same thing for a bargain price.
I have been playing Cleveland HB Turbo irons head for approx 9 months now and I absolutely love them...there is allot going behind the ball as they say (can be distracting) but they play/ hit advertised. My best score to date is 76....my scores have dropped 10 points on average. They are very forgiving clubs.
It’s about time somebody did this test!! Well done lads. Looking forward to this! I play of 10-12 and will be going for a fitting soon. I know I will have Mizuno and titleist out to me but I will defo give these a go!
I'm a 67 y/o and decided to give the T-rails a try. I bought the 9,8 and 7. In the longer irons I have Callaway Rogue x hybrids. They work great for me. The only traditional irons I have now are in my wedges.
I am right on the cusp between good swing speed but inconsistent launch because I can't play often enough to improve. I have Cobra Speedzone irons and have been switching out the long irons for hybrids and fairway woods. I love my Speedzone 7wood. I have ordered a T-rail 6 iron in the hope of higher and more consistent launch. If it goes well I may replace the rest. What do you think of the T-rail heads with a stiff shaft??
This video was brought to you by the Cobra T-Rail. Read the room, the Cleveland Launcher HB Turbo is the most preferred hybrid iron out of this trio. 🤷🏾♂️
That may well be...but as a neutral shopper the Cobra appears to be a simply beautiful club. The Cobra, Cleveland, and Wilson test nearly identical on all the youtube testing sites. I will try all three but if it's more or less a tie I'm likely to go with the Cobra. The all black look appeals.
Excellent idea. I have a set of the Wilsons ( I am very experimental ). They are great looking clubs and every other review shows them having very good performance numbers including spin.
Love this video, I’m a senior golfer 20. Handicap and play benross 5,6,and 7 crossovers which are basically the same as you ve Tested and love them easy to hit with confidence, 7 is great for chipping or the old bump and run shots if they produced more I would game them no problem. 🏌🏽♂️👏👍
I am definitely thinking of going down the hybrid iron route. I haven’t tried any of these yet but I’ve picked them up in a local shop and think I could game them. One question would you recommend them for someone who doesn’t really take a divot with their irons
I got a T Rail 7i to try. Wow! High launch high spin. Ordered 8 9 PW SW to complete the set. I use Cobra Hybrids and woods below 7i loft of 30°. Just my trusty CBX2 58 as a regular cavity bladed club
I struggled with Cleveland Launcher HB off bare lies. Lost 30 yards. You need grass for these to work. I switched back to my 690 mb irons. Might try the launchers again in summer.
I'm fast approaching my septuagenarian years and each year I am noticing that my distances are getting shorter and my peak heights are getting lower, so at some point, this type of club will have to come into consideration. But will my vanity get in the way, to be honest, I have bit the bullet with graphite shafts and have replaced my Longer Irons with hybrids, but would a Bag of Hybrid Irons be a step too far, to be honest, I'm not sure? PS I have never understood the stigma around putting head-covers on Irons, every other club in the bag has a cover so why not Irons? Why anyone would spend £$1000+ on a set of forged Irons and then watch as they get dinks & chips is beyond me.
I game a Cleveland Launcher 6iron. Love it ..and it's my go to club at 175. I also keep a my standard 5 Iron in the bag for when the wind is up and I'd prefer a punch shot.
I found the Cobras to be good on a mat but not good on grass. I feel the railer design impedes my swing. I sold them and bought Cleveland Launcher HB turbos and they are right for me...higher and longer than my older Adams irons.
I have played a 2-PW in the Lazrus hybrids. I have used these for about 18 months. I can do it, but for a weekend golfer, I prefer irons for a 7-PW. I have mixed in irons and recently moved to the older Adams V3 set. These seem to be the best for me. Yes I have some great hybrid head covers I got from Amazon, about $30 for a set of 10.
As an amputee who’s golf game has complete changed since the op I’m thinking of changing to these was liking the Cleveland but now thinking the cobra would look great especially with a black graphite shaft
Am a 78 year super senior. 12years ago was a 9 index. With the passage of time and some medical issues I am now a struggling 20. Loved the review am leaning to the Cobras but lot by a landslide. Great job. bTW I play in North Carolina in the US.
Would be great to see the ‘better players’ version of these - the taylormade DHY in a 25/26 loft- is something I think a lot of golfers could do with before moving to a 23 hybrid.
Watched this video with great interest. Two things I noticed, first your swing speed was much higher than most senior golfers and second there is a HUGE drawback to the Cobra. The black finish on the club face will look really bad after a few hundred hits.
Iam thinking about buying me the cobra’s in December I tried a lady’s one too compare with with halos and I have the pxgs sgis and I hit them ok but I lose distance with them
Got the hb 7 to see if it was me,, easy to hit straight and high,, but distance was a issue for me,,, touredge got a similar set out with change head in loft and lie,, 4 degrees down,, or up,, now that's interesting,, on sale american golf,, cheers Alan 🤔👍😎
I'm 65 year old man, been playing with a stiff shaft clubs that like to go right, for 30 years. My brother let me hit his clevland highbore lanchers (graphite senior shaft) much better distance and they started going left. I believe I'll get a set.
I use the clevelands (19hcp), very happy. Why would the lower hcp golfers not use them or it is simply a question of "ego" and marketing? If the launch help saves 3 bad shots every round of golf, why would you not take it?
In my case, I switched back to blades when my handicap went up. Launcher HBs are fun, but lower scores are more fun. I hit launcher HBs higher, not further. But they didn’t hold greens any better, really. When I got a “soft cap” on my handicap, I switched back to the blades and got back down. Beats me why. But I want lower scores, so I bag the lower scoring clubs.
I bought a used set of the older cleveland hibore XLI as I wanted to just have a set of point and shoot clubs. Must say after my first round with them, they did exactly what a high handicap casual like myself wants-- point at flag- hit towards flag. I am hoping to get them to a launch monitor to get distances sorted, but as of now, its the best $100 I've spend on golf.
I'd love to try a set of those. As a new golfer I could use all the help I can get. I'm not stuck in history and up to try anything new. I think these clubs are cool. I will try them as my next set, but first more lessons and time on the rance with the set I already have ( Cobra XL Speed)
I play tour edge iron woods which are the same .do they compare to the cobra series .the ones I play Hl4 tour edge iron woods .are they familiar to you .
I could see buying individual Cobra T-Rail clubs, 5 thru 7 to help my long iron shots. That being said, I would have to add a 7 wood to my bag to fill in that gap between my 5 wood and 5 iron. Currently I play the King Cobra Baffler XL irons and they seem to work for me but sometimes I struggle with long iron shots. Thanks for this informative review.
Late to the party but you have both completely missed the intention of these clubs. They are not for scratch golfers and pros. They are designed to assist ground contact, miss hits, getting the ball in the air etc. for high handicappers. No one that will buy these clubs will give a toss about launch angle, spin rate or any other nerd stats. They will only care about the ball going in the air in the intended direction.
Just picked up the Cobra set for $400, giving it to my dad.

Thank you Dan and Lee I’ve been waiting for this test and you delivered love your reviews thank you for covering us high handicappers and seniors!
Would recommend them, I think it's
the look of them that would put most off using them, and the fact that some might take the mickey,
but if your prepared to swallow your pride and play something far easier to use and lower your handicap then give them a go.
Thank you, glad you enjoyed the review!
Nice review Gents. Regarding the T rail, there is a new model on the Cobra site with changes to the rails on the bottom and what looks like a chrome strip on the back. They have also made head covers available, think the paintwork suffered a bit with bag knocks.
I am looking at the cobra, but trying the Cleveland’s next week! I will let you know what I select!
Just ordered Cobra T Rail set. Can’t wait to try them out. 😊
Well-produced video. Clearly explained.
I love head covers. I have cleveland blades over 10 years old and they look brilliant. No clang clang clang either!!
I bought a set of the Wilson LP last year and are the best set of iorns I have ever owned
Totally agree Colin. I’m loving my Launch Pads too.
Excellent.
The Wilson PW in series is a great club to use
I dont play golf but partner at 64 is someone that plays every day if he could and has just put a set of T Rails in his bag (sw to 5 iron) and loves them. He has 4 and 3 hybrids. just needs the driver to work better as he slices a lot and hates it, any thoughts on what could help? apart from medication lol
8 hcp gaming Halo XL, can golf be this fun???😃
If and when I decide to play a hybrid iron I'll be looking at the Cobra. Thank you for the review.
I've been playing slazenger big ezze clubs for 10 years plus the first irons of that type I came across recently added the cleveland 5 hybrid which I love joined my first club last year currently playing of 15 im 61 so these types of clubscare brilliant for me keep up the good work
Purch the Cleveland’s 2y ago dropped 5 shots off my HC , single figures for a while . I would never go back to conventional changed my game
None of those numbers matter. I want to see the shot dispersion. I want to know which ones go straight.
I'm a 5 handicap and my iron play REALLY let's me down. I'm going to try these.
Update. I bought the cobras 🤣🤣
Cheers Dan and Lee. Great performance from those clubs, something for everyone with those selections.
Excellent idea. I have a set of the Wilsons ( I am very experimental ). They are great looking clubs and every other review shows them having very good performance numbers including spin.
I bought the Cleveland HB Turbo's last year and love then, I don't know about the rest here, but I am sure they are great as well!!
My favorite style of hybrid. Ping G15/20, Mizuno 2011 JPX Fli-Hi, Tour Edge Iron-Wood, etc. 😍
Love this video, I’m a senior golfer 20. Handicap and play benross 5,6,and 7 crossovers which are basically the same as you ve Tested and love them easy to hit with confidence, 7 is great for chipping or the old bump and run shots if they produced more I would game them no problem. 🏌🏽♂️👏👍
Great review! Thanks Dan and Lee.
I just bought the cobra t rails and in the simulator I’m hitting the clubs 15 to 25 yds further love them
I am definitely thinking of going down the hybrid iron route. I haven’t tried any of these yet but I’ve picked them up in a local shop and think I could game them. One question would you recommend them for someone who doesn’t really take a divot with their irons
Yeah I really would Richard, I think they offer so much to all players 👍
Yes I believe that they are better for sweepers
I got a T Rail 7i to try. Wow! High launch high spin. Ordered 8 9 PW SW to complete the set. I use Cobra Hybrids and woods below 7i loft of 30°. Just my trusty CBX2 58 as a regular cavity bladed club
I am currently hitting the Cleveland love them every strike is straight exactly where I won’t it to go
How would they be off hard pan as some areas of our fairways quite bare and hard? Love the look of the Cobra!
I keep the 6 cleveland hb launcher in my bag for 170-175 too. I love that ugly little clog looking club.
I have the Cleveland 4 and 5 Launcher HB Turbos in my bag. Sometimes swap out the 5 for the Cleveland Launcher UHX 5 iron from my UHX set.
Great review as always. Would love to see one of you big youtubers review the Tour Edge EXS 220h irons. Same concept, but looks amazing
Recently played with a guy who played these. High and straight. I think he shot low 80s. No badly duffed shots and no wild shots.
Could play any one of them. Like the sound of the Wilson, but its just the offset that puts me off . Great vid guys xx
I’d love to try the cobra T-rail and the Cleveland’s. Love hybrid struggle with striking my irons some days 👀 (most days) could be a no brainer 🏌️♂️
Enjoyed it. Lee looks like a giant when standing there next to Dan. Big un.
Am a 78 year super senior. 12years ago was a 9 index. With the passage of time and some medical issues I am now a struggling 20. Loved the review am leaning to the Cobras but lot by a landslide. Great job. bTW I play in North Carolina in the US.
Hi Jock, are you new to the channel?
For the Cobras being used by seniors what shaft do you typically recommend?
Would be great to see the ‘better players’ version of these - the taylormade DHY in a 25/26 loft- is something I think a lot of golfers could do with before moving to a 23 hybrid.
Watched this video with great interest. Two things I noticed, first your swing speed was much higher than most senior golfers and second there is a HUGE drawback to the Cobra. The black finish on the club face will look really bad after a few hundred hits.
Iam thinking about buying me the cobra’s in December I tried a lady’s one too compare with with halos and I have the pxgs sgis and I hit them ok but I lose distance with them
Also look at these Verlin:
th-cam.com/video/qLcJqNF2Nj8/w-d-xo.html
Got the hb 7 to see if it was me,, easy to hit straight and high,, but distance was a issue for me,,, touredge got a similar set out with change head in loft and lie,, 4 degrees down,, or up,, now that's interesting,, on sale american golf,, cheers Alan 🤔👍😎
Any idea how these perform against the PXG 0211 Z irons
I think you sold me on the Wilson LP’s…with the extra money I says I’m buying a new driver! Thanks…new sub! 😊
Welcome 👍
