I purchased the Halo XL irons, right out of the box they gave me great confidence on the course. I dialed in distance on the driving range and they were very consistent on the course. Love these clubs..
i purchased a full set of Halo full-face irons with senior, graphite Helium shafts. they have revitalized my game and my enjoyment. even the wedges are easy to hit, even out of the sand. unless you are a rock-solid iron player, you will love these clubs.
One of the best reviews I have watched. Well done and keep it up! If you can do a real life testing on the course, that would be amazing as well. Cleveland Launcher XL Halos with any of the club/s you want. It's always more interesting to watch comparison videos especially by mid/high Handicappers who represent 95% of the players. It's more relatable. Also, I have just purchased an entire set of Cleveland Launcher XL Halos (Regular, Graphite Shaft) just based on online reviews and an online consultation with an expert bcoz I don't have the opportunity of fitting where I live unfortunately. Waiting for the sets to arrive and cant really wait to try them on.
Thanks so much for watching! I'll see what I can do. Only have 3 clubs to test out on those but trying to line up some new stuff with Cleveland for the future. Keep you posted!
Replaced my Wilson D300 series irons with these Halo 5-PW + DW Senior flex graphite shafts played 9 holes yesterday shot a 38 on a 116 rated course as a 20 handicap I was beyond happy also my first round with these clubs removed the plastic protective head and face covers before heading out to the 1st tee. These clubs are making golf fun again for me!
I just purchased a set of Halo’s since they are $200 off. I had a set of Maltby Gliders years ago that are just like these less the back fill in. I played my best golf with those. My partner wanted them so I sold them to him and it made a huge difference in his game to the better. I have two buddies who bought Wilson LP’s last year on close out and their games have improved.
Great review! Loved it. Even as a single digit (almost senior) golfer, I'm losing distance and accuracy as I age. I have considered giving these a try because I spend too much time hitting balls trying to find my game. At this point, I'd like to just play and not spend so much time searching for good shots.
My full set 5 to pw arrived today and I went out for 9 holes. I'm a senior golfer with a slow swing speed. Today I shot my best 9 holes ever. Love these clubs!
Just got a set today (6 thru pw), with senior flex graphite shafts. Unfortunately, weather the next few days isn't favorable for playing. I am 72 with a high handicap. Looking forward to playing these. Thanks for the video.
I just got a set of Cleveland Halo irons,September 8th. Played two game . I see a big difference. I 'll get back in a four week. And give you a better idea on the feel.the set was custom fitting 5 thu D wedge

@@GarageGolf Well, too bad it’s in the Alamo city. It looks a lot like something I would want at home. But hey, Florida is a great golf state. Good luck on your game! You seem like one of the good guys 👍

I’m mid to high and I’m dry happy with the launcher! I’ve bought a club at a time to compare and there is not one club I’m not happy with! The only club I was torn on was a 3 or a 3+! Outside of that it’s made my golf game better and more importantly more enjoyable to play regularly! I’m sold!
@@RKCHUX I went with the 3+ as I felt I had more control and distance ! Also feel it gives me more options versus the 3! I’m a 15 handicap now since using these and still improving my game ! I did however have the shaft shortened 1/2 inch! And love the club! Might stay in the bag forever!
Real reviews for us mid to high usually looking at these reviews on other channels I can't relate to thete distances same distance as you as short hitters love to see reviews for 170 to 200 clubs that's a mid to high handicapper issue
10-11 handicap here the Halo is a great club. I went from the HB Launcher to the Halo this year. Similar club but the Halo gives a bit more height and distance. Why make golf harder than it already is,the mishits on these clubs keep you in play and allow you to enjoy the game. The consistancy of the strike makes scoring and course management easier. Again they may not be the most appealing to look at but the performance advantage outweighs the clunky looks.
Thanks for the info on the Cleveland halo clubs. I have been doing my research between the Wilson launcher 2 and the Cleveland halo, I’m leaning towards the Cleveland halo. I plan to have my set cut to my measurements for maximum performance. Looking forward to placing the order, your review of the clubs helped me to decide. Hope I can get a good amount on some clubs I plan to trade. Thanks
I was actually a big fan of the Cleveland Halo Irons. I honestly think I could game these without any issue. The shaft was slightly heavy for me as I swing an 80g Stiff Graphite with my gamers but I got used to it quickly. Glad you enjoyed the video!
I have just bought a set of these, simply because they will be easier to hit in the 5 to 8 iron range. I play off of 17 and am amazed when I see people on TH-cam with 200 yard shots with a 5iron and still have a high handicap. I hit a 7 iron 135 to 140 yards and if I could hit it 155 like this video I am sure my handicap would tumble
I am an 18 handicap. If your distances went up it would most likely be one club per shot and mainly due to stronger lofts. Believe me there are some many facets to the game of golf that even if you can hit your 7 iron 200 yards you can easily be an 18 handicap because you haven't worked on other aspects of your game, namely chipping and putting where many of the strokes often come into play.
Yeah, very true. I was not implying that you are not an 18 handicap, I was only stating that if I could hit it a lot further my h/cap would tumble I was a 12 h/cap before the new system came in and shot up to 18. I am not hoping for a miracle cure with these clubs, just to go back to more accuracy I am also approaching 60 and need more help lol
I know its been a while since the test but a number I would like to know is how many mishits did you have with each? 20hcp here. Ordered these for more forgiveness on mishits and my first attempt with graphite.
Any major mishits were only initially as I got a hang for the weight of the club with the larger clubface. Once I figured that out it was bombs away with these. Very forgiving and easy to hit.
New to your channel and this is the first review I've seen. I play off 10 and consider myself a mid handicapper but that's just where I play. Tried the 5 iron belonging to my brother and was blown away by how easy it was to hit, much easier than a rescue and as my irons go from 6 upwards due to struggling with 5 down I will be looking for a 4 and 5 in these. Keep up the good work.
Nice review Roland. I think the Cleveland clubs did better, even with the 7 iron. I think a "fairer" evaluation would have been if you chose a PXG club with the closest loft to the Cleveland even if it comes out as an 8 iron. My rational is that you will choose the club based on loft not the relatively arbitrary numbering scheme from the manufacturer. To we mid handicap golfers we (maybe just me) would choose the club for a particular distance based on our bag mapping.
That is a great point Michael. If I was thinking about it more in advance I would certainly have done that. I really didn't even factor it in until almost after but even with different lofts I was amazed how well the Halo irons did with sometimes a 3 degree loft deficit!
Not sure if you’ll see this, but I am considering a hybrid type iron set bc of elbow issues. Hopefully stop taking divots, and get some easy clubs to hit. You think these will decrease divots being hybrid like?
They are definitely more hybrid like and are easy to hit. Make sure though that you go test them somewhere before you buy them depending upon where you are located there’s probably some golf stores nearby that should have them in stock or at least a demo set for you to try out there in the store before you purchase them, make sure you try and get fitted if at all possible. They are really good clubs and easy to hit though.
I think you would love the Halo Irons! Go to your local golf store and test them out for sure. I will look into Bombtech but I'd have to purchase them myself as they don't send out for testing...at least not for small fries like me. Same with Callaway and Taylormade but I'm working on it.
Great video. Loved the numbers comparison. I’m a high handicapper. I use a four and five hybrid in my bag right now. I’m thinking about replacing my lower irons with the Halos. Possibly the longer ones too. Do you think the five would be comparable to a five standard hybrid? Not saying numbers or distance. More ease of hitting it. I can’t really hit a five iron or higher, so I’m not sure if it pays to get a set of these or just 6-9.
Hi Chad, Thanks for watching. Yes I would put the 5 iron similar to a hybrid in terms of feel. Make sure to go somewhere to get fitted and get a chance to hit them for yourself! Very important. I think you will get a feel for what works best for you in that situation as well but overall I think you would enjoy them very much. When you make solid contact the ball will fly!
Great review! Lefty here. 3 degrees of loft is huge. Assuming both brands were the same loft, the Cleveland would be considerably longer and is the winner by a large margin (in my opinion). I have always struggled with iron accuracy, it seems I can hit more greens from farther way with my hybrids, as a result, I often play to an 170-180 approach rather than 150 or closer. Which is weird I admit. Since I need a new set of irons (mine are 10 years old) I am going to get these HALOS. Price is good right now as well. Thanks!
Nice video, ilI like the extra height you were getting from the Halos. I know you said you struggled a bit with the 7 iron, but overall did it take you less swings to get your good shots with the Clevelands?
Only really felt that way with the 7iron to be honest. I only had three clubs to test unfortunately but I was flushing the wedge and the 5 iron quite well. Definitely an adjustment period though.
The real test on golf course, a simulator gives an idea of path and distance, on a course you see true flight hitting a consistent distance and how it reacts on the green. If you hit an iron 190 one time and then 170 another time. You have to trust the distance and aim with the club consistency of the club.
One hundred percent agree. Packing up and moving my setup soon, just not enough time on this one but will consider in the future. Very very hard to film on a golf course with people always behind you unless you go at a very slow time. I've had a lot of frustrations trying to figure that one out to be honest but I'm trying. Thanks for watching!

7 min telling us repeatedly what you're going to accomplish in this vid is redundant bud
I don’t know about you…I personally would have turned it off after six minutes of redundancy. Thanks for watching and letting me know!
I noticed with these irons as I am 6 ft tall, that if you center the ball, even the 5 iron, it plays better. Normally one would set the ball slightly forward as you get into the longer irons but it is not the case with these clubs.
They're just super easy to hit which I love.
Halo irons are the most forgiving irons ever.
I agree they are quite forgiving for sure!
