Yeah, traveled & couldn’t get on my mat.... continuing the journey ❤
I usually start halfway through January and just do about 4 per week and it's still an awesome experience! This year I work 40 hours a week and have a 1 and 2 year old 🫠 so 4 days a week is enough for me and I'm so happy to do it!
I am as well behind, trying to do a practice when my schedule allows - I am thankful for this journey ❤

This might be long. Every year for a decade now I’ve done this challenge. Sometimes I’ve only managed 2/3 days before quitting, sometimes I’ve finished it. Sometimes I do yoga consistently for a month or two throughout the year and sometimes I do nothing for months at a time until my back issues tell me it’s been too long.
This time around I’m feeling something different. I don’t know if it’s that your teaching continues to evolve each year, or if I’ve matured, or what it is. But for the first time in my life after a decade of on and off yoga, I’m finally feeling like I’m in my body, noticing things, understanding how to do the simple act of breathing to my advantage.
It sounds so basic but I’m super emotional this morning at the fact that even after 10 years I still get so much out of this challenge.
I think it’s easy to wonder “after 10 years of 30 day challenges, what more is there to say/teach/learn?” The answer is so, so much!
I’ve never done or seen a horizon lunge before today. It was awesome to try something new but approachable. I’ve never held a low plank (or honestly even a normal plank) for as long as you and today through utilising the breath, I did it despite almost giving up at least twice. I surprised myself.

I understand the bit about waking up too early, but this is an excellent way to fill those early morning hours. I spent years with insomnia that have finally started to lift; I understand the struggle. You are not alone, even at 4:00 in the morning. Be kind to yourself.

My back feels much better after this practice. It was like a soothing deep tissue massage for the lower back.

I dont want to jinx it, but I have never been one to follow through on something, and I have to say I am proud I have made it to day 16! Much of it is me and the changes I'm making, but I also want to say thank you for making these FREE videos that are a wonderful reprieve to life and feel good to do. Day 16 - Most definitely sweet.❤ This was the day I cried. At the end of the practice when doing the sidestretches I was faced towards the TV. My eyes were open and I saw Adriene petting Benji so gently. And that was it; tears flowed.
Not been kind to myself lately, and most perticularly to my belly... so when we closed the practice by touching the belly I cried some more. But these were not sad tears, not really.
I just got reminded to be more kind.
PS: Missy 🐈⬛ even joined the whole thing! And she is very interested in Benji ❤
I needed this to show kindness to myself, things lately have felt like they are all over the place and have been easily overwhelming me. Tears when A talked about loving kindness. I was with my neighbors today as they said good bye to their sweet dog, who is the first and best friend of my dog. Our streak will not be the same without our lovely Cora. Thank you for this practice.

I often forget that kindness starts with me. To myself. And I then extend that to others. I dont treat myself like a good best friend, but it's bene better over the years.
This challenge has been a bit harder for me this year since I'm 7 months pregnant... But I'm going on my on pace and making adjustments as needed! Thank you so much Adrienne and all your team for these classes ❤️ sending lots of love ❤️❤️❤️

I kinda fell of the wagon for a few days, but in the spirit of self compassion and „something is better than nothing“ thinking, I decided to just keep going where I left of. Thank you for this beautiful practice ❤
I can’t believe how quickly these 30 days are going by. This practice is helping massively with my marathon training and ridiculously stiff body 😅 looking forward to completing this journey and then I’m going to redo Center ❤

This is I think the longest I’ve been consistent with yoga. It’s not much but it’s something. And once I got over the hump of forcing myself to do it, I started to actually enjoy it. This is the first time I can remember enjoying a movement based activity. Genuinely. Not using it for self punishment or to burn calories, but doing it because it genuinely feels good. I plan to do various 30 day challenges until the end of March, then see where I want to go from there. It’s exciting and relieving to find joy in movement when I only previously had self hate
