  • The perfect yoga flow doesn’t exis…. oh wait, for me, this is it. More and more I find myself feeling drawn to the intentional, smoother, subtle body connections that can be found in slower more mindful flows. These are yoga flow practices that truly synchronize your specific body with your individual breath. So in a way, this session isn’t just for beginners, though perfect for newbies! It really is a solid flow practice that will tend to all parts of your body, while allowing ample opportunity to create more balance in the autonomic nervous system.

      It does help to "go back to the beginning" sometimes. May remind you what you've gotten lazy about.

    I recently completed my 500th day of daily yoga :')💖This practice has changed and saved my life, and I don't know if I could've gotten started without using different YWA's 30-day series to work through starting NYE 2023. Forever indebted to Adriene/Benji/this community (I think of this channel like a digital sangha). It's amazing to see what I can do now that I couldn't do as a 'true' beginner, and I'm excited to see what I can accomplish in another year's time. But yoga (especially the mindful and unrushed version Adrienne teaches) has shown me the importance of slowing down, simplicity, humility and maintaining a continual beginner's mindset, so I'm grateful for this video, grateful for this space, and truly truly grateful for my body --- something I couldn't have said before I committed to yoga.     I started crying as soon as I sat down on the mat and saw Benji. I miss our boy so much. He was a 14-year-old German Shepherd. His name was Ralph. He had a heart of gold. We said Goodbye on March 25th. I would always do yoga in the yoga room and close the door so I could focus but when he became more sick I moved the yoga mat out to the living room and would do yoga next to him. Now every time I try to practice I weep for him and miss him deeply. I dedicate my practice to him now. Rest easy my sweet best friend. My beautiful fur son. I pray that we meet again someday.

      I completely understand. I am so sorry for your loss. It was Benji who initially captured my attention to this program. I lost my heart dog 2 years ago. She was part Blue Heeler. When I first saw Benji I cried because he reminds me of my sweet Sophie. So it was my sweet Sophie and dear Benji who led me to this practice. And I believe that Ralph is still nearby. He wants to see that you are ok. Try to relive a happy memory in your mind and you may be able to feel his spirit once again sharing mutual joy. This is how I was able to connect with my Sophie.

Scared to live life without him. It feels so strange and frightening. I'm still struggling with showing up daily for my practice but in time I will get back into it. I really have to dig deep and remember the good times. It's easy to get caught up in his last chapter and how his story ended but that was not the whole book. 🙏🌈💛 Sending you healing

    I have been doing yoga for a year and a half now with yoga with Adrienne videos. I love reading the comments but have not commented until now.
    I wanted to say thanks for fueling my love of yoga. I have always been an active person but needed a change once I hit my 50,s. Yoga with Adrienne has made me so much stronger and the meditation videos help to calm my mind after a busy day. I thank you so much Adrienne for your playful attitude and for being yourself. You make me smile each time. I also have the deepest respect for everyone who shows up each time. Keep it up - it will be worth it !

    The previous day this goes live, the 19th, marks my 2 year anniversary of my first practice with Adriene. I’m so grateful that in a time of need, I made a decision with the attitude of “What’s the worst thing that could happen?” There’s been times where I’ve had a puddle of tears after a practice and there’s been times of spine tingling bliss.

    Thank you for posting this. I was feeling discouraged and weak after getting Covid for the first time. Somehow I got around it for 4 years. At age 67, I''ve been doing YWA for a full year and loved feeling strong. I'll do this practice until I feel back to being strong.

    Today I got confirmation for how established my daily yoga routine is because when the video started for only a second without even seeing the screen my two and a half year old exclaimed "Yoga!", haha. I've been doing your videos on and off for 8 years but it's the first time I've been doing everyday since the beginning of the year and I've felt better than ever, so thank you!

    I was on an amazing journey with yoga and then a busy life happened. I did not expect my body to feel overwhelmed by pain and fatigue. I truly hit hard but I am back. Why is this so difficult coming back. I’m just so happy to be back. It’s going to be tough but I know I am strong enough to keep showing up on the mat. I was doing yoga for years and never missed a day, I can do this, I got this and feels good to be back with YWA community.

    I love that you included blocks in the practice! When I was starting my yoga journey I often felt that using props was like "cheating". Took me a while to realize how useful they are! It was a great one!

    I love this yoga practice, the slowing down & listening to the breath, it's just magical. I had a little trouble finding this practice today, it wasn't on the June playlist, but was listed on the June calendar. I found this odd, and spent 25 minutes trying to work it out. In the end I just tracked the practice down the old fashioned way. I really enjoyed this practice today, and feel so good now. Thank you Adriene & Benji, ❤ see you again tomorrow. Namaste. 🙏🦋💜

    Literally, woke up 10 minutes right before the live premiere started. This was right on time and a good vinyasa flow to get the day started of synchronizing breathing and simple movements&stretches.

    I’ve been doing yoga for a couple of months now. Rewatching this has made me realize some things that I had forgotten and the roots of what makes yoga so special. This is a great practice to come back to when maybe you’ve gone a little too far.

    Lovely comments - lovely practise. Adrienne and her style of yoga has saved me from certain burnout and mental breakdown... I'm still struggling day to day but knowing I'm getting to be on the mat even if it's for 10 minutes every day reminds me of how far I've come and it reminds me of the tools I have learnt along the way to help me cope. Thank you to this community and to Adrienne - just knowing you are out there and that I may well be practising at the same time as some of you fills my heart. And to be able to say I have done yoga every day this year so far is something I didn't think possible and helping me on the road to learning to love all parts of myself.

    I've been a YWA community member for many many years. I took a little break from yoga to get back to the gym with cardio and weights and been feeling a little stuck. Did this beginner yoga and it was just what I needed! Felt like a nice rest and reset for the body. Sometimes breathing gets mixed up and it really does make yoga harder when you are working against your breath, instead of with it, or letting it guide you through the practice, which I let it do today, I felt my practice level up and became easier. 💖🧘🏼‍♀️🙏🏻

    I haven't been a beginner for a long time but sometimes it's great to go back to that beginner practice and mindset. Especially since I got sick recently and couldn't do my yoga practice for a while. This is what feels good and what a great way to get back into it.     I've practiced for a few years, but 3 fractured ribs have forced me to slow down. I'm frustrated by the loss of strength and progress in my practice, but thankful for beginner videos as I find myself starting over in many ways. Thank you for the variety of videos on this channel 🙏🏽

    restarting yoga and this is perfect. My posture and pain levels have returned in force after being away from yoga for 10 months. Appreciate having this comforting voice again & I know my body will perk up when it realizes we are not quitting again. also, thank god Benji is still a presence.

    I´ve started with yoga only recently and immediately got addicted - thanks to you, Adriene! I love your style and feel included, although I´ll hit 50 in 5 months and I´m somewhere between overweight and obese. But I can do your beginner videos (I´m sure my poses doesn´t look good, but who cares?) and all your reminders to lower the shoulders or not to hold the breath etc. always come in the right moment, as if you were watching me. Already a lot of progress is showing and I feel so much better after every practice. I´ve had a blockage in my spine a few days ago and your lower back practice helped me immediately to solve that.

    Thank you Adriene for this great practice! I’ve been doing yoga daily as my new year resolution and I can feel the difference, mostly in my mind but also with my body. I am classical musician and I am definitely more aware of my body posture while playing, it helps so much with my back pain! Maybe you could create a practice “yoga for musicians”?       Did this session outside my usual place, so was just on hard carpet. Managed to keep focus long enough that it wasn't an issue, and found some good freedom in the form. Day 461 of the current run.

    Oh wow this is fantastic, thank you! I loved the 30 days for beginners of like 9 years ago, which was my first introduction to yoga a couple months ago.     After 1,5y of daily yoga with Adriene - I got in the mood after this today and thought I'd try my strength-progress and "luck" in headstand basics... managed to balance for a bit with both feet off the ground, for the first time!! Felt like a kid having fun, learning new skills 😅 Now with what feels like a newly awakened goal of getting the legs up and do a proper headstand one day ☺ since shoulder stand is already in my practice as well!
    Out of this world for sedentary me-pre Adriene 🙏 thank you for everything ❤
