I AM AN AMBASSADOR TOO!!!! WHOOP WHOOP - Love this man, i'm planning to make the same video! haha are you going to NAB?
Awesome man! Congrats:) I would love to go for NAB but don’t I will make it as I’m in Asia right now. You?
Hey! It's @CineDailies :) 👋
Great video Jakub. Nice to see the mavo getting some love.
Jakub all of your footage looks sooooo crisp and beautiful, besides the great info! Thanks :)
Thanks my buddy:)🙏
Excellent video! Beautiful shots! Have you ever had a client asking about your camera brand?
Thanks Tobias! I actually did 1 or 2 times.
The color grade on this video is so good. Please let me know if you decide to do a class or tutorial!
Thank you Jonathan! I actually do 1-1 online coaching (link in the video) where we can go through my grading process for example. :)
Loved❤❤❤ the intro! Yoda crochet made it to the cut 😂
Yes he did!:)
Been watching this brand for the longest, definitely will get one when the time is right.
I can only recommend it!:)
It's a great camera, I tested it for a month last year. Its incredible how much they put into this camera whilst sitll keeping it compact. Beautiful colours out of it as well.
Glad to hear you enjoyed it mate:) I love it🔥
I appreciate this review; I’m incredibly curious about how someone like myself could become an ambassador for this amazing camera.
Do I simply reach out Kinefinity, or is there another formal process?
Love your videos!
Hello Armin, Kinefinity actually reached out to me based on one of my TH-cam videos and my portfolio ✌🏼 so put yourself out there and create great work💪🏼🎥
Do you have any sample footage from the Kinefinity Mavo LF mk2 on your channel? The specs and pricing look good.

Make a video about struggling to choose cinema lights. Everything online is about cameras. I personally don't care about the camera. All of the cameras today have reached a standard of being very good. There's never anything online about new lights, or anything lighting related. I think the crux of the issues is that most people: don't use lights, don't know how to use lights, don't know what lights are available, aren't interested in lighting because lighting is seen as boring when compared to cameras. .
I think there are a fee channels that talk about lighting but to be honest it’s not my lane. As I shoot a lot of documentary and outdoors I prefer working with natural light and shaping that if needed for better results.
I do use lights for interviews but the less footprint the setup has the better for my style of shooting at this point in my career🙂
Be interested in trying one of these for my smaller, non feature length documentaries. I'm curently using the Arri Alexa 35 for our work (mainly National Geographic and such), and prior to this the Arri Amira.
Might have to pick a Mavo up and see what it's all about. Won't be until we get back to Britain from the Middle East, but I'd be keen to give one a whirl for some smaller documentaries we have in the pipeline.
Great video, definitely caught my interest.
@@RugbyPass81 glad you found the video insightful man. I think you might enjoy using on smaller projects as it’s easy to build it up to a very lightweight setup.
Next month I will compare it to Alexa LF (just for fun rather than scientific comparison😂) but I’m curious how it will do especially in terms of image quality and colour.
@@JakubChlouba I really did, it's a great video and answered a lot of the questions I had regarding the system.
Many thanks for that mate.
Ahhhh trust me, you'll enjoy using the Alexa LF, absolutely fantastic. It's quite the beast kitted out but the images it produces are stunning. You'll have a blast with it. I've subscribed so I'll be looking forward to that video.
I'm saving the pennies to get this or the S35 version. I have found the camera direction I want to go in.
Amazing man! Good luck with the saving :)
Would have loved a raw format in this.
Yes, I wouldn’t mind that either but up until now I never used or needed raw so it’s not a deal breaker for me.
2:56 that's a BP-U battery slot, not a NP-F slot
Is it? My bad! but you get the idea :)
I've been looking at this camera for a while now. Would you say it feels too heavy for handeald work long hours?
It really depends how you rig it up and I do prefer a little more weight for handheld shooting.
If you run it with just top + side handle and monitor it's very lightweight.
If you add other accessories and heavy lenses it might be too heavy for some people or you might wanna use an Easyrig.
Thanks for sharing your experience, Jakub, Kinefinity deserves more attention. I like the images it produces but I wonder how slow is the Rolling Shutter in open Gate and Full-Frame modes. I imagine since they are using off the shelf Sony sensors it's not very fast (similar to other cameras that use the same sensor). Has this being a problem for you in some situations? I mean, in doc scenes with movement, run and gun situations? The other issue is the lack of internal raw codec. Do you think this could come to Kinefinity cameras in the future? Is the company willing to pay for those licenses and eventually charge a little bit more for the cameras. I am sure most of the customers are willing to pay more for such a thing as internal raw recording. I think that this is the only thing that is missing for it to be best bang for your buck cinema camera on the market. I see a lot of potential in Kinefinity to substitute RED or Blackmagic as the cinema camera company for the masses but they need to get some form of onboard raw recording if they want to compete in that camp. Thanks and looking forward to see your future videos.
Thanks for the comment man, to answer your questions:
1. Rolling shutter in FF Opengate is not great but it’s better than for example Sony Burano, I also feel it improved a little bit with the latest firmware update. If you shoot a lot of sports, fast action I would say Kinefinity might not be the best choice but as I don’t shoot that I haven’t had issues with the rolling shutter.
2. Raw would be nice as the prores 444 files are huge and I believe Kinefinity is working on having the prores raw available for the cameras. Gonna ask then when I speak with them:)
i am looking also to this camera for the moment, seems to be great value for money 😀
It really is!
I have the terra 4k and I am going to upgrade it to the mavo LF, it seems to me that it has a more organic image compared to the super 35. But I am going to buy it from BH, not from the California store, they have bad service. I sent them several emails with some questions about trade in program and they didn't answer my questions and then I called them and they hung up on me.
That is a bad service indeed! Yeah I’m sure BH will be better man, good luck on the purchase, you will love the camera:)
amazing work. question, on the opening shot any diffusion filters used on the lens?
Nope just a Canon FD 50 f/1.4 wide open. It’s pretty soft haha and even creates that halation😁
@@JakubChlouba wow, thinking about buying the mavo lf on a serious note.
@@JakubChlouba would be the first one here in Kenya.
@@bigchiefcinema9654 Let me if you have any more questions man :)
@@JakubChlouba just did a grade on a few stills. can I tag you on Instagram?
really no raw/proresraw/braw? why? prores 444 is just ridiculously big. (also being able to play with wb/iso etc... in post is best thing in cameras period)
I believe Kinefinity is working on having raw available on the cameras.
You’re the boss❤
You are✌🏼
I was just thinking about this camera it, and you uploaded a video talking about it, great 😅... Probably this is gonna be my next cinema camera no sony fx6, no RED (NIKON) KOMODO.
Haha glad it came in time man:) I really enjoy using the camera and I know people who sold their Komodos for Kinefity✌🏼
@@JakubChlouba that's cool man, I'm just working with a Fuji xt4, but it's part of the process, if possible the end of this year or next year I'll finally upgrade to a "real" vídeo câmera 🤞
my country does not have a reseller, warranty support worldwide?
Where are you from?
@@JakubChlouba Thailand
@@napatsaeng Kuala Lumpur is the best choice then. DPgadget is official reseller in KL
im a zcam e2s6 user but if i ever decide i need to upgrade, kinefinity is the choice for me 100%
Glad to hear that man💪🏼
That was one of the camera I wanted to try. But it looked like it was such a gamble at the time (last Fall). I went the safer route and got a Komodo-X. No regret. But the Kinefinity cameras still look interesting!
I feel you man, Komodo X is definitely an incredible camera too 👍🏼
@@JakubChlouba We all know pretty much any cameras these days will be amazing (image wise). I'm more interested in the way it makes me work, how the camera handle and how it can serve my style of shooting. That's why the Kinefinity look interesting to me. Bigger body, everything is already on the camera (ports)... Komodo-X is amazing. It just takes time & trial and error to find a good setup to use it (handles, modules with more ports...). Thanks for the video. Always interesting listening to them!
@@matderome yeah man, I agree. That’s why I went for Kinefinity as I shoot a lot of doc and run&gun stuff it’s so convenient to have everything already on the body👍🏼
It’s got a documentary look. I wouldn’t compare it to ARRI, but rather certain Canon cameras.
I will be doing an Alexa mini comparison in the next few weeks so let’s see what comes out of that :) maybe you are right!👍🏼
Can you shoot 4444 in Open Gate?
Yes
Yes👍🏼
@@JakubChlouba thanks:)
