well done Dave what an awkward reverse you had to do, it shows how much of a great driver you have become, its always better to stay calm in such differcult reversing situation. its was nice of the van driver to help you to reverse on to the road. While watching you reverse of the road into the docking road i thought on the second attempt you were about to hit the grass kerb, but you prove us all wrong keep on trucking.
He was about to hit the grass curve, you are correct but luckily he realized his trailer was tracking in too far and he couldn’t catch it in time & pulled forward. Same with the railing in the parking lot.. I notice when Dave 90’s he stays in way too long which is normal a lot of drivers do! I even do it sometimes but it’s good to remember the salt rule.. u can always put more in.. but you can’t take any out.
Personally speaking, I don't need to subscribe to remember to check out your channel. It's has provided me with a lot of insight to what a majority of truckers have to deal with on the roads. Today I was on my way into work, and a trucker was coming off the highway, and had to merge. I could have speed up so, that I would not have to get stuck behind a them. Nope, I slowed right down and let that trucker merge. Simply because I seen there was a bunch of traffic behind me, and simply yield, because the off ramp the trucker was using ends pretty abrupt. Trucker flashed their lights as a thank you, and it made my day. Thank you Dave, I have learned so much from watching your channel over the years.
Bro.. that back was HELLACIOUS.. jeez laweez 😮💨 GOOD JOB man, awesome job. Everybody give Dave a round of applause 👏 I hope you never have to go back lol.
Really? I did this almost daily at Schneider & not at CFI it’s more so random but Atleast once or twice every few weeks we get tight spaces. Must be a company thing lol
Businesses never think about semi trucks when building these businesses. Shopkas Mid America in NKCMO forced me to do a 45 minute blindside, man was I hot!!
I was sorta proud of you Dave. A while back you would have had a lot of beeping in the video 😂😂. Great job my friend. You stayed a hell of a lot calmer than I would have 😂😂. Great video. Thanks for sharing. Edit Had that been me I would have driven on the curb in that pretty grass 😂😂.
That is a nightmare of a place, man! No planned parking at all and not a care in the world for trucks that has to deliver or pick up. They seriously have to plan this better and not leave it to chance if the poor driver will be able to get in there at all. Parking all over the place, without any plan or regard to the big trucks that will come by, just shows that the leaders are totally clueless about anything related to parking! You drive in to find that clusterfuck of cars and trucks, then have to back out into traffic, getting flipped around, then backing in again. It is like threading a large needle through a set of small holes. I would not recommend that place to anyone that has to actually go there. Good job, Dave.
Thank you sir 🙏🏼 whoever you are in your sprinter holding up traffic to help a truck driver. Not often that happens these days so again, thank you, you are appreciated!
Yeah most of the places in the north east and midwest was not meant for a 53 ft trailer and a big sleeper. The guys in the yard across the fence must have been glad they didn't have to dilever there
Damn, that place was not designed for backing up trailers that big. The least they could've done was to adjust the vans around. This was pretty exciting.
People that don’t drive fail to realize how difficult backing can be. I’ve been driving a decade and still screw up easy backs sometimes. It takes thousands of hours of practice just to get decent. You’ll never master is. The NE sucks bc other drivers are hella rude.
Fun docks. My 2023 Kenworth T680 thats extended somewhat would never make it. Miss the Freightliner Cascadia and Volvo with sharp turn radius. Love mine. Tight areas👎.
Good job Dave. I live in the north east where parking and backing are your worst enemies. 25% of my deliveries were like that with a day cab. You do and you learn.
Nice work Dave i was a supermarket driver and your reverse brought back memories or nightmares of docks meant for Rigids trucks not Semi,s but its a great feeling isnt it when you nail it keep safe Mate Kym Adelaide
i feel like if you werent holding up traffic you wouldve been able to do this a lot faster idk if thats just me thats like that where you if are good at something and when you try and do it with people watching you always mess up idk lol nice work dave!
Had a delivery like this once in Rhode Island, no room for an OTR truck to get in the dock. I dropped my trailer and paid an old driver in a day cab to get it in the dock. It was well worth the twelve pack of Mountain Dew and pack of Marlboro’s, so like ten bucks at the time to not crunch my flaring and stack.
I was sent to Ray Emmerick's Warehouse in Addison, Illinois, on my second day by myself after 36 with a trainer and ran into something similar, but throw in cement islands with hydrants and trees in a lot that size. I ended trying to correct with tandems all the way back, big no no, and dragged my trailer over hood of semi next to me. I fully understand the dilemma a new driver would have had.
As a driver who has been to NY,Maine,MA,NJ and the entire Midwest & east coast in 6mo.. DAVE I want you to know.. Columbia,SC Camping World during business hours has the smallest LOT known to man. So small in fact you have to choose between striking RV’s,Employee vehicles, Or striking the building. 😎🤙🏽 I even had other drivers confirm who have been on the account for 15+ yrs. It’s labeled the nightmare store. Drivers deliver once and never go back.. I ripped the gate out of the ground.. it was the only way to prevent destroying 8 employees & customers vehicles + not taking out the tree. Sometimes we just need to say no.. 🤷♂️
I always had to pickup at terminal for home time and usually leave for White Bear Lake, MN. One time Columbus, Ohio, and another to St. Joseph, MO, but 9 out of 10 was WBL. I also live near a Jesup, but in Iowa. Now, if the first three digits of their phone is "827" like Jesup in Iowa, then that would be strange.
If you had tried that blindside turnaround, you would have ended up like Austin Powers in the golf cart tunnel scene. I had a similar back in Florida--a dock made for box trucks and a bunch of vehicles in the way and nobody there with keys. The trick when doing these is knowing what to do with the steering wheel when you are PULLING FORWARD. CDL school teaches you how to steer when you are backing, but they don't talk about what to do when you are pulling forward. I've been doing this 2.5 years and I knew exactly what you needed to do--you had to open it up WHEN YOU WERE PULLING FORWARD. How many times Have I watched newbies in the truck stop back up and pull forward and while they are pulling forward doing the exact wrong thing with the steering wheel? All they do is rock back and forth over and over in exactly the same path changing nothing.
That's 1 unfriendly customer. Instead of forcing drivers to back out on an active roadway, they should be making sure there aren't vehicle and equipment parked all over their yard, Maki g maneuvering a pain in the ass.
Honestly man.. I think people in this world for the most part are caring and nice .. just the Media and Social Media have us fighting one another because our little differences.. Religion, Gender, Race, Political Views, Ethnicity, Country.. but I believe most people who will see someone in need will lend a hand .. in my opinion
No freaking way dude, that docking was hell. I would have just broken down and cried trying to back into there.
Haha, just go in the receiving office just bawling because you can't make it into the dock 😂
Dave leveled up this episode. Good job! Experience adds up.
Even surprised yourself
GREAT JOB DAVE! It is nice when you meet some really nice and understanding people that will take the time to help out truckers! That was awesome!
Kind-hearted, guy for helping you out.
So nice to see this in the world today

Ive never seen someone just offer to hold traffic for a trucker unless they worked there. Thanks for the video Dave!
Bro.. that back was HELLACIOUS.. jeez laweez 😮💨 GOOD JOB man, awesome job. Everybody give Dave a round of applause 👏
I hope you never have to go back lol.
That van driver was probably a truck driver himself. He understands
Great backing skills. I've been driving 5 years and this would've been tough for me.
Well done, sir!
Really? I did this almost daily at Schneider & not at CFI it’s more so random but Atleast once or twice every few weeks we get tight spaces. Must be a company thing lol
Great job!!! Also, huge kudos to the nice guy who helped you!!
You need to tell Your company you want some hazard pay for the backing. 😂 very nice Dave.
U got this Dave I believe in u that was tight
Nicely done Dave! 👍👏
Dave saying "kosher" hilarious!!
Great job on the parking.
Businesses never think about semi trucks when building these businesses. Shopkas Mid America in NKCMO forced me to do a 45 minute blindside, man was I hot!!
Wow the roads are terrible down east in MD. Up here in Garrett County, MD, our roads are as smooth as butter.
I was sorta proud of you Dave. A while back you would have had a lot of beeping in the video 😂😂. Great job my friend. You stayed a hell of a lot calmer than I would have 😂😂. Great video. Thanks for sharing.

Thank you for trucking, Dave. Safe travels.
Great job Dave backing up your truck nice.
Wow great job Dave !!
Thank you sir 🙏🏼 whoever you are in your sprinter holding up traffic to help a truck driver. Not often that happens these days so again, thank you, you are appreciated!
Very good job backing.
That has to be the hardest Dave has had to work on backing in a while.
In the words of Darth Vader - Impressive. Most impressive.
Yeah most of the places in the north east and midwest was not meant for a 53 ft trailer and a big sleeper.
The guys in the yard across the fence must have been glad they didn't have to dilever there
imagine streched petes there😅
Welcome to trucking Dave
Damn, that place was not designed for backing up trailers that big. The least they could've done was to adjust the vans around. This was pretty exciting.
Good job Dave that’s a tough back
6:03 American Truck Simulator moment
Good job Dave. That was 5 minutes of tension backing that into the dock.
I feel like the north east looks the most beautiful though. Fall colours!
Nice back Dave! I've had to do a few like that! They make you really appreciate the easy ones.
Haha! Good work Dave and welcome back to the north east! All love from this day cab LTL driver. Nice work buddy.
People that don’t drive fail to realize how difficult backing can be. I’ve been driving a decade and still screw up easy backs sometimes. It takes thousands of hours of practice just to get decent. You’ll never master is. The NE sucks bc other drivers are hella rude.
Great! Another video from Dave!
Um, no picture of the receiver site as mentioned at 0:34?
Good job Dave. Yea, a newbie would have struggled. Especially if they didn’t ask to move the truck.
Great job Dave!
Keep up the good trucking Dave

It's a dance Dave. Just dance with it.

Nicely done Dave.
🐐 Dave you are Goated !
You forgot to add a picture of the place you were delivering lol dammit Dave
As a Marylander it’s nice to see you here lol
You’re my hero Dave. 😄
Nice work Dave i was a supermarket driver and your reverse brought back memories or nightmares of docks meant for Rigids trucks not Semi,s but its a great feeling isnt it when you nail it keep safe Mate

dave in my area 😮
One of those situations where a drone hovering over the area giving live feedback of all sides at once would be great.
I hate the NE. Good job with that back, Dave! That brought back some nightmares…
when you mention erie you should insert a clip of it so that people like me can have some context. That man was wonderful though. Great Job!
Very impressive Dave! Keep up the great work 👍
Very intense for me to watch. Very good job!!!

U good dave
You have awesome trucking skills, Dave. Stay safe.
Fuck, I was tense just watching this. Awesome job, man!
Hell yeah Dave! Nice job

Another episode of Dave vs Maryland.
These are the places I absolutely hate. I advise our company to add 200 dollar delivery insurance fee.
Thumbs up Dave good job 👍
wow that terminal is more designed for those smaller Izusu trucks
I love your videos so much
I love your videos Dave and you have inspired me to become a trucker when I graduate from high school. What is a good trucking company to start with?
Swifty Swift best in klass four a raisin. Wes da best cumpany out ther
Are you paying for your own CDL school or you want a company that'll train you?
@@happinessiskey2858 I'm probably going to go through a company to get my CDL
Nice Job Dave. This made me sweat just by watching. I could never do this, I let others rush me too much 😅
Dave!!!! You’re a fucken Beast Bro 💪 😂 that was fucken amazing 👏 😂 thank you for all the great content bro 🙌🏻😂
At least it gave you a reason to use your horn again!
Damn Dave

Alex could have made that back easy 😅😂
My first load I had to blind side it to turn around lol
Hey dave did you happen to pass through zanesville ohio just a few minutes ago if so I passed ya

dave, i have a question. im trying to buy merch but my concern is shrinkage, should i order a size up or what?
If the red truck didn’t move there’s no way you’d have enough room to get it in
I just recently moved to MD, Near jessup. Its a pain in the ass, no one knows how to drive here
Hi Dave
Hopefully you got some Crab Cakes
Why can't they just move the company trucks to accommodate you?
Your lucky you got help....
The picture didn’t come up
Aint no way lol, that shits 100% not designed for tractor trailer. box truck only lol
They know the dock area is tight and expecting a semi..why have all those vans parked there
Dave mentioned at the beginning of the video that this warehouse has multiple businesses. Most likely these vans belonged to another business I guess
Dave does Billie Jo have a channel
clean your windows dave
