She is famous for giving birth to ALOT of famous mythological monsters that is in the game. ( and alot more that is not ) Im not going to name them all but the once in the game are :The Nemean Lion, The Chimera , The Hydra, Scylla, Cerberus and sometimes The Gorgons( like Medusa and her sisters ) Echidna's family tree varies depending on the sorces and her origin can be anything from Gaia to Medusa. ( which is extra odd as sometime Medusa is one of her children ) There is a few more famous monsters that is not in the game like Orthrus and the greek Sphinx (it's different from the egyptian one )
The Nemean lion from the og AoM was a rushed unit, wich is why it not only uses the lion rig but it's sounds aswell, so it's nice to see that the remake gave it a voice of it's own. And this also works with the og roar, since that one was obs recorded by a man.
This is one huge thing I've been complaining since RETOLD came out, the game is amazing but it does feel like buildings are made of Hard sugar walls covered in wet tissues.

Buildings being TANKY is a serious problems since people will start spamming them to create a wall and at the same time get utility. I like how buildings are weak so that it forces you to actually WALL. Ofcourse things like building producing slower when attacked or % damaged it has taken be cool too but that might be hard to do and people might also abuse it. I think I prefer buildings weak overall so people are incentivize to wall.
@@herotalib9556 Big Age2 fan. Where castles feel like fortifications not just dissuasions, here you can take a fortress down so fast and easy... They don't Even make much damage. This makes the games faster but idk i don't like it much.
If there's one thing I appreciate about AoM over AoE2, it's that cheap infantry units are actually viable. You get cool moments where Chimera melt a whole bunch of Ulfsarks/Berserks because those units are worth using in the first place.

Thankfully I managed to get 2 of my friends to join amongst our ranks! Now I have 8 friends who play AOM. Only hard part is one/two of them mostly play on console and the controls on console are just yikes. I mean they aren’t terrible but they aren’t the best
@@BigDomDefoort I just find controller a little clunky but that’s normal given it’s taking a game that has a ton of hotkeys and mending it down. Also I’m pretty sure my control groups aren’t working properly. And sometimes the attack just doesn’t feel like it’s actually working the way I want it to. Like if I tap attack on a gate or wall some units will attack it but others will just go up to it. But other times it works just fine. I miss some of the fine tuning that’s on pc. However having some complaints about controller won’t stop me from playing it on console. Just means my timings and builds will take a little longer to do which means my attacks against other players will end up happening later than earlier how I like to.
Makes a huge difference to wall your fort, not only does it make it stronger against melee units, but it also reduces the surface area for enemies to attack, catapults are too easy to counter in AOM so this works out good.
1:48 the game hasn't even been out for a month lol 10:40 actually some lore says the Na-Me-In lion could talk. 16:26 the Frost Giants of Thrym look so cool. Almost as cool as the Fire Giants upgrade.
My brother and I grew up on aom and halo, etc. When we played on our ps2 we used to leave it on and sometimes it would have to be turned off and we'd lose our progress because my parents couldn't get us a card yet so we couldn't save haha so we'd only get so far and have to start over lol
I just downloaded this game yesterday. Although it’s fun, I’m still extremely lost in how everything works and how the gods work. I played the first tutorial but that didn’t fully help. Still though, my brother likes RTS’ as well so might have to get him in on this.

That's what good players to do defend their status, he surely would of won getting trade route up and defending with chrimeras cooldown, trade is very good for poesidon, build 5 or more markets in different spots, 3 layer thick wall should deter the enemy for you to get time to react. You rarely see the top players going trade, even while they have excess food and wood and population, instead they chop wood and sell it? or sell food? they are truely idiots when you think about how they play, maybe 20% the capacity of a dota 2 player, I can't understand why they don't, far from pro players imo.

You see here why players like Grassengroom get so high-not that these are not superb players, but mainly because Odin (and Norse) are broken beyond the developers' willingness to balance. AC wasted a heroic army in Recon's main base, and Recon roasted AC's army with Chimera multiple times. NEVERMIND! ODIN has a 15k lead in score anyway. Another point why Norse is too broken is FIMBULWINTER! No big deal that you play vs the NR1 RANKED player on 1 towncenter vs 2 towncenter... Who cares that you are FOURTY VILLAGERS BEHIND, just cast FIMBULWINTER AND WIN vs the NR1 ranked player. EXAMPLE? Watch the villagercount of both players carefully @: 20:36 This is the main problem with all versions of Age of Mythology: the Norse entitlement and privilege. Throughout the whole series, the Norse player base has whined and complained to the developers about other civilizations so much that the term "Norse Whiner" became well understood. But who cares? It resulted in all pantheons that threatened Norse too much getting nerfed, while Norse themselves got all kinds of new stuff and boosts. Example: Here in Age of Mythology Retold, Norse thrives. You want to know what was the absolute bane of Norse in all the legacy versions? It was Ra! You really wonder why Ra is in its current state, don’t you?

Nemean Lions have been talking since AOM Retold came out. They changed that one release. Same for the Minotaur, they didn't talk in AOMEE either.
I think the Centaur talked like a human. Now it speaks with a "horse accent".

I have been able to get my friends and family that play RTS onto AOM. Those who haven’t played it’s much harder. They gotta be in for the grind lol

odin currently has under 50% win rate at 1200+ ELO so i don't think it's correct to say he's overpowered
