😄 it's funny how many people have said that. It's been a really good tool to have and has done many jobs for me. You will be looking for one now. Thank you for commenting 👍
Me too. I've been binge watching these videos the past week and now I'm trying to talk my wife into buying a house down the road with a little bit of land so I can have an excuse to get one of these for myself 😂
Thank you very much Dan, I appreciate your comment. I've seen operators make much much older machines dance and perform amazing so I couldnt agree more with you. Yes they truly have a lovely place there. Thabk you again 👍
Those stone walls and buildings are lovely. You blokes have got some beaut rural architecture over there in Pomgolia. The little digger did well and it just goes to show that even though they are a bit small they'll still do most things asked of them. Do you find it more comfortable to operate with the levers re-orientated more towards you? On my 1.2 tonner I used an oxy to heat and bend my sticks so that they lean towards me allowing me to sit back in my seat when digging, best thing I did on my machine since it allows me to make more precise movements of the sticks now that I'm in a relaxed position rather than having to lean forwards all the time.
Hey Dave 👋 thank you. Yes the country side all over the UK is laden with sandstone built walls and buildings. Even the boundaries between the fields are all built using dry stone wall techniques. The controls are slightly better being turned. The controls are uncomfortable for a full day's operation on the machine I must admit. The only problem I have sometimes is that I knock the tracking levers with certain movements and the tracks can me turning without my knowledge. So yeah, next machine I get will have pilot controls for sure 🤣 Thank you for commenting buddy 👍
@@everydaywithmenick Yeah that's why I heat bent my sticks rearward rather than turning them (which I did try first), I wanted to make sure I didn't hit the travel levers with them or bang my hands together when hard curl and fast slew right at the same time (rare as that combo is). Heat bending steel tube is a slow and delicate process but on mine it was well worth it.
@davejaguar6532 thanks bud, I think I may have to put them back in their original position and heat bend mine as to a comfortable position also. Thank you for your advice buddy 👍
Hey buddy and thank you for commenting 👍 You and me both, I got there and started talking to the customer and what he wanted and I thought I'll never get this done in a month of Sundays but I tightened my belt and got on with it 😄 Thank you again buddy 👍
hey Jeff and thanks for commenting. You know i thought at times that the machine was not going to do the job but it surprised me in so many way and we managed to get the job done for the fella. He was happy with it and so was i, well more so that i didnt fall off the machine or tip it 🤣 Thank you again buddy 👍
Thabk you Evan, I appreciate your kind words. To think the first time I got on it, it was like a mechanical bull being rode. Now we have tamed the beast 😄 Thank you as always buddy 👍
You did a lot with that mini x. I was a little worried a couple of times. Great work operating it. The finale results looked great. I'm always looking for a mini x to add to the arsenal.
Jerry, there were times I thought the job was either not get done or the machine would tip over. But I stuck to my experience and my numb head and battled on. It did great and I was super happy once I'd finished it. Even the customer said to me, I can't believe that little machine did all that. In my mind I was kind of the same. Have you much work on your spot for a mini ex ? Since coming out of lockdown there has been loads coming through on marketplace. Thank you as ever buddy, your a great supporter 👍
Thabk you, I appreciate your kind words. I will have to check on the machine but I think it's about 180 or 190. The machine has not been used as much so far this year as the sawmill has been going crackers. I will check and get back to you though. The machine is running good though at the moment.
Hey buddy 👋 thank you for commenting. If you'd like to email me at nick.garton@hotmail.com I'll be more than happy to discuss costing etc. Is yours a Chinese machine also ? Thanks again buddy 👍
Thank you buddy, I generally do and I'm sure I did throughout most of this dig. There's not many times I have the blade out the rear. I never feel as though it does anything, also I needed blade out front to get me leveled up in some cases. Thank you again buddy 👍
hi buddy and thank you for commenting. The machine will last all day and its very fuel efficient too but the noise is something else. Its not very ear friendly at all. hope this helps buddy 👍
@@everydaywithmenick I just got my Machine a 1.3 ton rippa with a kubota diesel engine and some attachments I haven’t used it yet but hope to soon when I get my small business going agai.
Hi and thank you for commenting, yes there is extra costs involved and do forget now exactly what the value of them were but you got port fees, handling charges, fuel pollution charges and a few other charges but yes there is an addition few thousand extra depending on the cost of the machine. Of course you have taxes depending on where you live. So whilst they are cheap, there is additional costs behind the initial machine price. Sorry i cant give you anything more specific, it has been a while since i did the import.
Hey buddy and thank you for commenting. Regarding hours on the machine, i think it is on only about 200 hours. Ive got a lot of work coming up with it soon and that will almost add another 50 to 60 hours easy. Its going ok, just really hate the engine that is in the machine. Thank you for commenting 👍
Hey and thank you for commenting 👍 I left the teeth off because of uncertainty of what was underneath the ground to be excavated. There was rumoured a pipe but fortunately I didn't find nor hit one. Yes whilst excavating the tree and roots the teeth on or even a Ripper tooth would help but I wasn't messing on anymore than I needed to 😆
