@@renzlucero6241 Can kinda relate tbh. I discovered them back in 2016 when I've listened to Karate for the very first time. Wasn't so much interested in the band since it had "nothing much to offer" (my dumb brain once said) so I didn't really gave them a shot.
After re-discovering/re-listening them back in 2019, you could tell I was blown away as soon as I listened to Metal Galaxy. Thus my fav band member being Moa-Metal. Fuck, this is beautiful.

これはすごい。スーメタルはロックの歴史に残る本物のメタルクイーンになった。バンドの演奏のあり得ない正確さもすごい。
2018年、ベビメタにとって、非常にきびしい時期だったけど、
そんなことを微塵も感じさせない気迫にあふれた圧倒的ステ－ジだ。
この動画を初めてみたとき、こみ上げてくるものを抑えることできなかったな。
本場のフェスでこの人数の観客にサークルモッシュ煽れるのすげぇ……
ちょいちょい、このライブのパフォーマンスを見たくなるのですが、この群衆を前にしてのSU metal の堂々とした歌いっぷり、余裕すら感じる表情に身のこなし、極め付けの聴衆コントロール、、なんなんですか、一体この娘は！
さくら学院時代の天然娘とのギャップが凄すぎて、、、。💎の原石がbabymetal を経て本物の💎になったってことでしょうねぇ。
個人的には、ある意味日本の音楽史上でも頂点の存在と言ってしまっていいと思う。
この曲が先行配信された時からファンになった新参者だけど、何回聴いても本当にDistortionかっこよ過ぎる。
SU-METALの圧倒的歌唱力で、これからも世界を沸かせて欲しい！

not really special , but just good. There are plenty of metal drummers who drum like this Listen to ne obliviscaris for instance, he's a few grades faster on his feet and hands.

やっべ、色々あってダークサイド以降ベビメタ動画は意識して避けてきたけど、鳥肌立ったわ。
2014年のソニス思い出した。
I've been listening to Metal since the beginning of the 80's. I saw so many bands live and thought that nothing could impress me anymore. Baby Metal teaches me a better one. Every musician is a genius on his instrument. Su, Moa and the dancers are absoulute professionals in their field. The best I've ever discovered on You Tube. They are the best thing that could happen to the music world.
I'm happy there seem to be quite a few old school metalheads that like Babymetal. I'm 18 and have been into metal since I was about 10, so I've seen my fair share and have evolved into a bit of an elitist-but anyone who typecasts this as not real metal is just fucking stupid. I can understand some apprehension from the pop elements of their first album (I like the album a lot but judging by distortion it will still be the weakest one once the new one comes out) but if you take away the vocals from Metal Resistance it's essentially a metal instrumental album. It's because purists don't like fusion, even if the fusion is fucking fantastic. It started off a little bit gimmicky but turned into something spectacular.
Do you know if any of them actually write the music? Or is it some pop band?
I do not know who is composing the songs and writing the lyrics. The music is not just J-Pop with Metal for me. This is musical art in the highest form. Everything is complex and thoughtful. This is really hard work.

I was at this show and, i'll be honest, the only reason i tagged along to see them was because my wife and some friends wanted to see them so i volunteered to be the 'pack mule' and hold all their stuff so they could enjoy it. Turned out to be the highlight of the weekend, the girls and the band were amazing, the crowd made it even more special and even ended up making a couple of friends. Hope they come over this side of the pond again so can experience it all again.

@@Kevr73 - Don't know if you know but Babymetal return to Britain in February 2020. Not sure if tickets are sold out yet like they are for the Paris & Berlin shows. They're hitting Manchester, Glasgow, Cardiff, and London.

2014年、初のワールドツアーで、ドイツの客のゴリゴリのメタル感に圧倒されつつも「いざ始まったら一緒に踊ってくれるんだ、かわいい❤️と思った笑」と言い放ったSU様は多分ドSデス
そもそもだけどDOWNLOAD あたりの大型フェスで大観衆前に「ビッグサークル、見せて～!」なんて言える日本のバンド、他にいる？ ベビメタは過去を守るだけじゃなく、新たな伝説を創り続けるよね!!! scrap and build です!!
ベビメタの曲はライブを繰り返すことで良くなっていくからなぁ。
日本公演ではさらに良いものを披露してくれるでしょう。

確かに三人の時が一番だと思うけど、プロダンサーに囲まれ、中々のプレッシャーもあったと思うけど、そこで耐えて、実力伸ばしてきたのも凄いと思った。

@@5014chizuka 日本語は西欧人曰くメロディみたいに聞こえるらしいで。同じ西欧だと子音をハッキリさせるから音色って感じはあまりない。アジア圏で考えると母音って感じ強くなるけど中国語とかは飛行機のアナウンスとか聞いてる限り音程が上下が激しくてメロディっぽくはないと個人的に思う。北朝鮮のアナウンサーとかは逆に音程があまり変わらない印象で日本は比較的音程が緩やかにメロディぽいかも。
同じことばかり言う同じことばかり言う なるほど〜！なんか納得。確かに日本語って音が一定で強弱も滑らかかもしれませんね。中国語も伝統的な音楽だと綺麗だなと思うけど、独特の音になりますよね。ちゃんと日本語も先入観なしに見てあげるともっと面白いのかも。

高音域を裏声で逃げず、しかも声が全く細くならず、フォルテで一発で当ててくるのが素晴らしい
女性ボーカルだからかも知れません。高音域で裏声になるボーカルの方が珍しいかも。安保闘争時代のフォーク・ゲリラの森田童子さんとか、90年代の遊佐未森さんとかは、高音域の裏声に逃げるのが逆に、稀少価値のあるワビサビ的な特徴だったのかも知れない…。しかし、Su metalさんは、活動域のジャンルがポップ・メタル系統なので、クリア・ヴォイスでありながらも、裏声で細く出来ない宿命があります。こんな説明しても彼女達の音楽を聴いた事の無い人には、全然、分からない世界です。確か…。遊佐未森さんの♪靴跡の花？だったかな？森田童子さんは、♪蒸留反応？だったかな？

We all want to see Yui again, but we also have to remember that she is a real human person. She has given us her childhood and has made sacrifices that most of us couldn't or wouldn't do. You think she can simply go to the store without being hounded by fans, media, creepy old men...her life is more than just being on stage entertaining us. Yui owes us nothing and we should just hope she is happy and healthy...that's it. I find it hard to believe that Amuse or Koba would just get rid of her so I'm sure her absence is for a good reason. And if that reason is personal then we have no business screaming about it. If it is for the storyline then we just have to wait and see. Yui, Su, and Moa (and the rest of the band) don't deserve to see or hear all the negativity.

The drummer is THE beast! Suzuka's singing is stellar, Moa's dance moves are incredible, the guitar riffs are super heavy. Long live BABYMETAL!

It's actually not a "great fit" which is the point. The whole point of Babymetal is the stark contrast between the very heavy instrumentals and the cuteness of the vocals and performance which are not things that would be associated with metal music.

不思議なもので、このダークサイドのDistortionと、Metal Galaxy以降のDistortionで印象が違うように感じる。

Nothing funnier in metal than when Sumetal says "show me big circle" and everyone scrambles like their life depends on it. Would love to be in a BM pit, looks amazing. They go hard but the lives sound even harder.
Realising my like 80th time watching this, catching the band, and these guys are hammering out complicated riffs without even watching their fingers/etc like,,, damn.

We'd need to prepare for losing a pure musical genius when he is still young, it's for me as shocking as SRV's death.
The band is musically as Hot as ever. However as stated its just doesn't look or feel the same. The Nu look is drab,dark and kinda un Kawaii. And without Mikio(RIP), Yui and the inclusion of the Muscle dancers I can only listen rather than watch this incarnation. I like Tak,ISAO and Leda but they just cant fill the way Mikio The Master did night in and night out. I think it boils down too I dislike change lolz.
I'll tell you what's missing: pigtails, fluffy dresses that move all over the place, and three pure, happy faces, complete with smiles (OMG). These new dancers don't look very happy. And their snug dress makes them look a little slow, or something. They LOOK like fill-ins.
