Boys, this was a very refreshing thing to sit and watch after a full week of work. There are a shortage of good thoroughbred souls on this planet anymore. This was so refreshing and reigniting for me. I've been a full time professional drummer with all sorts of pop bands and rock bands for over 40 years and still teaching kids and playing. But there are a shortage of solid chaps around me now in Scotland with any kind of authenticity. So, Joe... if you'd like to sit down with a real Scottish man who has done his bit.. but still has a passion for life and being alive from this side of the ocean. Feel free to give me a shout brother. 💪🏻
Glad I’m not the only one who sees it. You can tell he definitely has a side to him with an edge, but he’s worked hard on presenting himself as this very cool and genuine guy we see here. Love Brolin
He's had a big ass pair of shoes to fill considering who his dad is. The really cool thing is, he stepped into those shoes, and just kept on walking. Lol. There are several interviews that he's done in the past few years, which really makes him appear to be a cool fu*king dude. Cheers

@@crash86ed Well, just so you know, your response sin't really accurate. I understand the sentiment, it's almost colloquial, but it's incorrect. And, if you knew anything about experimental design you'd know that correlation is perfectly adequate to make determinations.

I was in the 82nd Airborne deployed to Port Au Prince, Haiti in 2010 after the earthquake killed 300,000 people. It was quite a gruesome and tragic ordeal. We secured the general hospital and Sean Penn showed up, passed out American Spirit cigs and smoked one with us. He volunteered his time and resources and helped the Haitian people for a few days while we stayed at the hospital and then he was gone. He’s truly a great person in my experience.
Sean and I do not line up politically at all. That being said, Sean does the work. The HARD work for what he believes in. I have mad respect for him regardless of his politics. He’s a national treasure for sure. I’m glad you had such a positive experience meeting him. It only reaffirms my thoughts of him.

I served him and his wife iced americanos once. Nice guy. One of the few times I was surprised and excited to see a dude from some of my favorite movies. I didn’t tell him I knew who he was but was stoked lol.
When Brolin said he and his kid didn't talk for 15 minutes after watching No Country For Old Men, it reminded me of another movie with Bardem, Biutiful. I saw it in the theatre with a couple of friends and none of us talked until we got into the car, after driving off. He's such a great actor.
I loved the intesity of his character in the Sicario movies. He didn't need to be kicking ass every second for you to feel that he was a complete savage. The border shootout in the first Sicario - he just chills while his team fucks everyone up. It's like a gunfight is just 'old hat' to him. He's totally unfazed.
When you travel You feel as though you've actually had a journey, I've always said to people that a car is basically a house on wheels, it's very safe, you get in and look out the window and then you step outside and suddenly you are in a new place, you've missed out on 80% of what makes a journey great. I've had trips on my motercycle where the most memorable moments that have stuck with me wasn't the destination but random points on the way there, your doing 60 to 70mph on 2 wheels and the wind hits just right, you get a whiff of rushing air and forest and pine, your hyper aware of how big the world is and then suddenly you crest a hill into a vally and the world suddenly becomes even bigger and all of these emotions hit you at once, so much so that you become overwhelmed and pull off to the side and get off your bike to take it all in, and that's when you notice a family of deer that you've apparently interrupted staring at you from within the forest behind you and you just sit and ponder life and it's meaning. Most would have never considered doing that in a car because those combination of feelings and emotions just aren't present, I'm a city kid so that was a very interesting moment for me.
I like how Brolin asks just as many questions as Joe. A very organic conversation/ interview just how Joe likes it.

He's got a huge amount of TDS.

Remember that weird ass poem he wrote to Timothy chalamet
I put him up there with Denzel confidently because he damn near matches the lead role of every movie he's in..a professional of his craft and inspiring to see more of him
Every time Brolin speaks it feels like I’m watching him perform. Like literally everything he’s said in most movies are cool one liners. And here he is saying cool shit
If you interview Josh Brolin, you will also be interviewed.
I love that about Josh.

I was lucky enough to meet Josh last year while he was here in Scotland. Incredibly humble, down to earth, and all-around cool guy. It was an absolute pleasure to talk to him.
What was he doing in Scotland?
@Chadhogan111 I think he was visiting with his family. I wanted to respect his privacy, so I didn't ask anything personal. He was more interested in the building and its artefacts. Took a moment to realise it was him, but his voice is very distinctive
Shit. How'd I miss that?
Ive met loads of famous people up Loch Lomond on my boat. I have mooring access for the golf courses too, met loads of famous people there a lot of them actually come talk to me about the boat. I have an Orange and White Mayland called the tonic. Everyone loves it because it looks like a small tug boat, gets more attention than my big boat. Im a boat builder btw

I met Brolin in LA a few years back and had a 5 minute conversation with him and he was one of the nicest people I’ve ever met.

@@crash86ed Well, just so you know, your response sin't really accurate. I understand the sentiment, it's almost colloquial, but it's incorrect. When Brolin said he and his kid didn't talk for 15 minutes after watching No Country For Old Men, it reminded me of another movie with Bardem, Biutiful. I saw it in the theatre with a couple of friends and none of us talked until we got into the car, after driving off. He's such a great actor.
This was an incredible episode. Love Josh Brolin.
Why does this guy's voice make me feel safe
Because he’s Thanos

You're attracted to men
HAHAHAHAHAHAH
I loved the intesity of his character in the Sicario movies. He didn't need to be kicking ass every second for you to feel that he was a complete savage.
The border shootout in the first Sicario - he just chills while his team fucks everyone up. It's like a gunfight is just 'old hat' to him. He's totally unfazed.
He plays that character perfectly IMO. It's like he's waiting for someone to finish filling his gas tank. "That's not my job any more." lol
Friend of mine told me once: when you drive a car it is like you are watching a movie, when you ride a bike - you are in the movie. Loved it!
Damn! That’s a great one 🙏
that's fucking stellar!!! RIDE ON! (and I'm assuming by bike you mean bicyle)
@ motorbike:) he was my inspiration to learn riding and I must tell you - he is right! Royal Enfield rules!
So beautifully said! I am not good at expressing my feelings with words, and I always deeply admire people who can. Spot on!
This is probably one of the best podcast Joe did so far. The flow, the aura and the synergy was great. Thanks!
