The Luna fade flight number of 3 has to be one of the strangest manufacturer flight number choices out there.
I've never seen, held, or thrown one with a 3 fade. At best I've seen close to a 2 with a Big Z one that I own, but on average in the premium plastics they're 3 3 0 1 and in base I could easily see then as 3 3 -1 1.
Love the video as I'm currently evaluating moving from Lunas to Pixels. Lunas have treated me well but curious about Simon's new putter. Subbed for future videos and appreciate the great insight!
MVP does have beadless putters but you will still see the core mold where the bead would be. For the beadless putters, you can't feel a bead. The Envy, Proxy, and Atom are good examples. The edge is basically flat with the overmold and there's no bead "lip" for your finger to sit on.
I thought they would be "too deep" too but they aren't that bad. I been putting with lunas for a while now but I felt I needed to try something new. I'm loving the pixel so far. Give it a try.

Thanks for mentioning the pixel has a bit of fade when putting. I did not realize the Luna was so straight or even understable when thrown. I have not liked many of the other common popular putters I’ve tried like the judge or pa-3. So I may try a Luna in the future.
I like to putt with Rainmakers but after getting a Pixel even though it's a little deeper it may replace my putter of choice.
How do the lunas compare to a mcpro aviar?
I really wish the luna was as stable as advertised but it sure is fun to flip it up when thrown. 😆
At Altitude the big z lunas are my favorite thing to throw. Unfortunately, for 11months out of the year im at sea level and my Lunas stay shelved and replaced by my envys and proxies.
I can't imagine there's enough interest to warrant a video, but how would you compare the Luna to a Warden @ApolloDiscGolf? I got hooked on Wardens as my straight putter back in the Oakley/Risley era and haven't looked back.

I would say that the Warden is closer to the Pixel in terms of stability, maybe a touch more stable.. and the depth is between the Luna and the Pixel! But the bottom rim is a little more rounded like the Luna, but not quite as rounded.
Would the Luna hold a line like, say a Hex? IE, if I put a hex on a Hyzer line, it will hold it, same with straight lines or anhyzer lines. Would the Luna do that too?
It's definitely more understable than the Hex, even if you get a stable putter, that would fly close to the stability of the Hex but I would say it's still a touch less stable.
Goodness gracious. I thought the Luna was a massively deep putter, I can’t imagine the Pixel. I have one coming in the mail today! But I putt with PA-3's so of course a Luna would feel deep to me. Lol
I switched from Lunas to Pixels for putting and although the pixel is "deeper", I feel it fits better in the hand than the Luna due to the rim shape
I just went and grabbed a pa-3. It is every bit as deep as an Aviar which he said was pretty identical to the pixel in depth.
@@mikethomas5451 just putted with the Pixels today. Felt nice in the hand, reminds me of the Prodigy 350 plastic. The PA3 feels slightly flatter to me than the Pixel. I like them both but I'm sure the Pixel will take time for me to get used to. I kept missing the basket to the right with them.
The first run lunas are the right stiffness for me. The kratos is supposed to be a more stable luna. Should review that if you can please.
Yeah I loved my first runs, but they don't make them like that anymore unfortunately...
I thought that the Luna was a ‘deep’ mold. Isn’t that why Robbie C gave up using it last year, because it was too deep? Anyway, keep up the content.
I think it's because the bottom of the Luna is curved out, so it fills the hands more. It's noticeable if you putt with Aviars, and he putted with Aviar3s which are a touch lower profile than those, then Wardens. He putted with Daggers for a bit, then tried Lunas, so I think he's done with the deeper putters now. 🤣
My hope going forward is that we as a sport get away from the average player having to have the signature pro putter. So many people get hung up on that and have to adapt to their putter instead of finding something that fits their hand perfectly among the dozens of really good putters available from just the major manufacturers.
But that's part of the fun of the sport, trying out all the new discs and changing up your bag every once in a while!
@@ApolloDiscGolf Oh, for sure. I just wish more players would seek out options for their own game over the latest pro discs. At least more often than it seems at times. 😅
