I got a couple of sets of these scales with clips, black plus scales, with a black clip, and they are brilliant. From the same seller here in the UK so I didn't have to pay shipping but honestly probably still worth the extra shipping if you're in the US because they are perfectly made, as if they came out of the factory like that. Mine carry a fair bit deeper than yours though.
I agree... excellent quality and worth it even with shipping of under $7. Black on Black... I like that... probably my next choice... deep carry clip, all the better! 😀
Very cool clip option - thanks for highlighting it. How does it impact your grip for various tools? I love the Explorer Plus as an EDC choice! IMO it's really only missing a file for urban EDC, and there are solutions for that: 1) add a file to the Explorer (it becomes a Modeler), 2) replace the small blade with the small Companion file, 3) carry a 58mm with a file, 4) carry a SwissCard in the wallet with a file or 5) carry the Surge t-shank file in the wallet...
@@ParkerBinion a wallet file is a nice easy idea. Mmmmm, grip… someone might argue that the clip could add some added grip for some tasks, but that’s a stretch. I don’t like the grip as much with the clip… but if only expecting light periodic use it’s not a biggie. If I were whittling for example I’d say it’s not good.
i’ve opened up the hidden 4th slot on some of mine using the file on the cybertool l or craftsman. doing it slowly and carefully takes a lot of time. i’ve tried other tools/methods but that seems to work the most reliable for me. then i custom-size toothpicks with the opposite angle and shorter length to fit in these slots. so now the original toothpick slot can be used for a mini ferro rod or whatever. i use swisskarry clips that hook to the lanyard hole instead of this way with the clip on the other scale because the screws from the clips tend to interfere with the 4th slot.
Nice video. Plus scales make such a difference - I have some on my Fieldmaster. Didn't know you could get them with an inbuilt pocket clip!
Inbuilt pocket clips... Tell me more!... who, where?

@@iblackfeathers 4th slot!… oh no!… now I have another project to explore! 😜
I should try one of those dangly clips sometime… a nice removable option.
