as opposed to a piece of scrap nylon strap tied in a slip knot and a .25 carabiner, then you could hang it with the battray installed. whatever floats your canoe.
Yeah, you don't even need the carabiner. Tie a piece of paracord in a loop and slip it through the handle and the back through itself with or without the battery. A carabiner makes it nicer...
I've always wanted to cover and protect the battery compartment when I take the battery out. So I saved my heavy old black and yellow Ryobi batteries to use as a cover, for like my Ryobi weedeater to keep out dust and cobwebs. Once again Clint, you saved the day. Where would my life be without you.
Interesting, I've been buying Ryobi tools for almost 21 years and they weren't included at that time, or at least not with what I bought. I have them for all my tools and I hang it off my wire shelf rack.
OK, I watched your post the other day, and dear Lord, I was on a mission to get this accessory. I went to the Home Depot website and needed to order them. They just arrived about 15 minutes ago, and WOW, they work great! Thank you so much for sharing the info; I could not be happier!
I got a peg board little awhile ago to help organize my tools, and while it's been great for my hand tools, it's been difficult to find good ways to use it to store any of my power tools. This would be PERFECT!! It'd only work for my battery powered Ryobi tools, but thats still several tools I can take off the shelf and hang instead!! Great find!
I already knew about these but still watched your vid because I enjoy your humor and presentation style, it's real naas like ;) I have extremely limited space, about a quarter of a one car garage, as my "shop" and I use these tool hangers on the metal shelf I have. It is the type of shelf that the uprights have holes the full length to allow the shelves to lock in anywhere. I use those holes on one upright to clip on six different Ryobi tools, like Christmas tree ornaments, lol. They have been great not only as space savers but I know exactly where they are when not in use, just check the Xmas tree :) Keep up the great work!
I got them at direct tools for $2.50 per unit :) Direct tools does 30-40% sales in store all the time but this was their bi-annual 50% sale. So they were $5 for (2). I bought (4) and wish I got 10. Glad I could pay it back a little Clint, you’ve given me such great recommendations over the last 2 years.
I'm happy for you. You know what they say, it's only new if you've never seen it before. I've had a couple of those since 2008. Came in a kit I bought with a recip saw and drill.
MATE, I am in Australia and I had no idea. We don’t have Home Depot but we have Bunnings and I have found them in my local Bunnings. They are $16 with taxes. I have bought them also, as a way of keeping dust out
Had these for years. Been hanging up my tools for a long time. No room in the toolbox so started hanging them up. Nice to see Ryobi re released these things. I was running low, only had two left open.
Lol, right!? I mean, I appreciate the content, and Im glad to know this product exists. I will be buying some now, but this did not require an 8 minute video.
Been using these for three years. Thought everyone already knew about these. Pro tip. Get a bakers shelf (metal wire shelves) and hang your tools from the top shelf. Wish I could show a picture but it works great.
Damn!! You have brought the word of Ryobi to the unsaved masses!! This video just made my day and it's only 4:30 in the morning. The rest of my day I'll be walking 6 inches off the ground on my way to Home Depot.
For most of my tools, I just use either the single large J hook or the double J hook drill/impact holders. I only have a string trimmer, blower, drill, impact, and recip saw that need wall mounted. The recip saw is the only thing I can't hang with either the single hook or double hook that came in the pack I got so I put it on a shelf next to some other stuff out of the way till I need it. No need to spend money on the Ryobi belt clip unless I was working in the trades and needed the belt clip.
My old blue tools came with them. (I still use the blue tools) I bought extras for the green tools. They're great for hanging the tools up and they protect the battery well from getting crap in them.
After seeing so many Ryobi videos on TH-cam this last week, hearing REEobi, I really appreciate the way you say "RYobi, not REEobi" . I may steal that one for my own name. Of course I just got into making content for TH-cam and only have a handful of subscribers or videos posted. But I have one of those names that isn't totally easy to pronounce correctly. I like your content in particular because I was looking at Ryobi tools on the web, and when I saw a decent deal on a multi-tool, I immediately went to TH-cam for a search and your video about this tool was by far the best. I may actually get one because I just picked up four of the newest batteries ( like how you pronounce that word!) and now, I've got more batteries than tools. I also have trouble finding a place to store the ones I have. Part of me wishes I had a bad battery, some being twenty years old or more, just to make my own little lanyard like this myself, but I will probably just get a pair of these. I got one of the leaf blowers about six months ago, and I love it, but my senile father actually had one of the big beefy leaf blowers from IDK how long ago, and I love it more! They are both easy to store having the notch on the bottom you can just hang on a screw or peg. I want to do some kind of video about them but I'm thinking along the lines of wind power for something small in scale and probably made from Lego. I'm trying to come up with ideas for making usable stuff such as some floating shelves I actually have four of and room for three more. I have this stucco wall I came up with a decent idea for, I'm not ready to unveil. I made big 3½ inch addry numbers after having the siding done. I'm in a mirror obsession right having almost finished my third kaleidoscope with plans for more and I'm actually planning on making an infinite mirror, a true mirror and a solar oven in the next couple months. I even built a chandelier with 52 LEDs above my bar that appears in several of my videos, so, look for the words Bluebrixx Deep Space Nine on @reddblackjack. I'm going to upload videos on the shelves and other stuff soon. Hopefully tomorrow. Everyone is welcome to watch and leave comments. I'm still new and soak up criticism! Please check out something. Thanks everyone!
CLINTMAN...thank you for making my cluttered junked out basement look so neat and tidy! If only I could post a photo of my basement and your garage side-by-side!!!
Just seen this video.. I've never seen them.. This will work great for our weed quacker and a few other things.. Thanks! Now Home Depot has them listed for $10 bucks for the 2 pack.. I bet your video sent a huge surge of people ordering them and now they are using supply and demand prices..
LOL Ryobi used to include those with their tools, at least some of them like the mini router, many years ago when everything was blue. Not sure where mine went though, so thanks for the reminder Clint!
you can also reuse dead batteries for a similar purpose. Take them apart, remove the now-useless guts and screw the stem part to drawer bottoms to keep the tool in place, or retain the bottoms for ceilings, joists, walls etc.. The tools fit right on them and release with a squeeze.
If you have been a Ryobi fan as long as I have you should have a ton of these lanyards. They used to come with each tool that you purchased. They are a "welded" nylon strap with a retractable D clip and are very useful for hanging, keeping moisture/dust/sawdust and bugs out of the batray compartment. I have at least twenty of these. They all came with various tools.
Believe it or not I have some of them so old they are in the old Ryobi colors of dark blue and yellow lol. They have made them for a long time but not common I guess. I love them they are awesome 👍!!
I have two they are really nice for hanging a spare goodwill ryobi drill in the shed and garage when you need one. I also got one at goodwill in blue so they have been made for a while.
This is why TRZ subs are the greatest subs on TH-cam!! I am waiting to see that pesky Makita gnome in more videos, but always in a different spot. It’s like where’s Waldo lmao!!!
Hah nice. New to me too. Hmmm could be a good excuse to get more Ryobi tools having somewhere to put them... Because even when your shelves are full you can always find a spot to hang something
They aren't as "modern looking" as some of those metal tool hangers, but it's nice because you can put them almost anywhere. I buy an extra pack every once in a while when I buy stuff off TTI's website, Direct Tool, just so I can keep them ready in case I need to hang some more tools because there's no end in sight for me buying green :D They hold some fairly heavy tools, too. I have the biggest impact wrench they make and these hold it just fine. I have the portable band saw up there too. The only thing I haven't hung up with these is the mini compressor, but that has feet anyway. The only thing I don't like about these (and this is more of a nitpick) is the buttons to release the tool should have had a raised edge because your fingers push in between the holder and the tool, so if you have fat fingers, you might struggle to release these.
I’ve been trying to find something to cover the battery socket on my canister vac so it’s not just a dust catcher when there’s no battery installed which is most of the time. It will work well for my blower also lol
They have had them for a while. I have some of the original blue and orange tools and I bought some of what is shown I also have alit of the yellow ones. But in my area they discontinued these. I will look for more of these
I buy them when they go on sale and have one for everyone of my tools. I have one of those heavy duty wire racks, and I clip the lanyard on the edge so all my tools are lined up in a row. That is one nice thing that Ryobi has that I don't think anyone else has or that I have seen. I think I have about 20 of those lanyards.

You could also just use news paper for toilet paper
@@manstuff612, you can't compare hanging a tool to having a raw asshole and not being able to walk
Maybe I have a new use for all the old batteries that won’t take a charge. I’ll attach straps to them and snap them into the tool to hang them up.
Yeah, you don't even need the carabiner. Tie a piece of paracord in a loop and slip it through the handle and the back through itself with or without the battery. A carabiner makes it nicer...
Hell yeah nice!!

My exact thoughts.
they used to provide those holders with all ryobi tools when they were blue
Interesting, I've been buying Ryobi tools for almost 21 years and they weren't included at that time, or at least not with what I bought. I have them for all my tools and I hang it off my wire shelf rack.
I had a few blue tools come with these as well. I don't care to think how many years ago that was...
Yup I got a couple blue n yellow ones buried somewhere
@@kirk422 I've got a mix of the colors from when we transition to blue to yellow.
You people are old

@GetzenLover and that's real nass like. Thank for the feedback Get!

Dude, you make my frickin' LIFE more bearable. You know what this channel is? IT'S REAL NASS-LIKE.
Oh god - now I need to buy more Ryobi stuff
as if I didn't own every tool they make
thanks a lot

I've had a couple of those since 2008. Came in a kit I bought with a recip saw and drill.
Glad I bought Early Ryobi Cordless tools, because EVERY tool came with on of these storage Lanyards.
MATE, I am in Australia and I had no idea. We don’t have Home Depot but we have Bunnings and I have found them in my local Bunnings. They are $16 with taxes. I have bought them also, as a way of keeping dust out

Got a bunch of ryobi tools , but never seen those before , very cool mate , thanks for enlightening us .
Thanks. I just bought 6 of there.
Yes they are cool. I used mine for Ladders. I have one strapped to my tool belt. I can carry extra tools and not drop them
If you live in the sticks, this device also keeps the mud wasps from building their structures inside the battery well.
How you kept my interest for almost 8 mins on this I’ll never know…8 mins I will never get back. 😂

HAWD HAMM! Just in time for my Christmas list!
Those hanger pieces were sold back when they were blue and yellow tool colors.

Haha, the garage is finally getting there, the question is...how long will it stay there 🤣👍
Free option that allows storage with or without batteries. Tie a lanyard loop of scrap cord around the handle. Has worked on various tools for years.
Amazing find of a video! Looking for something to fix my stick vac as it won't stand in storage and came across this gem, thanks!
Ali express sells ultra cheap stands for Ryobi tools and batteries, the plastic could be stronger, but still, highly recommended
Thank you ,this has saved me.
Actually my first starter tool kit that i bought in 2007 came with 2 of them. Back then they were blue. I still have them.

🤣🤠😎😎😎
They have been making those for many years. I picked up my last one at a Direct Tool store.
Daaamn! I thought I had a lot of tools. I do but not that many. Lol. Those are pretty awesome clips tho. Great video!
these have been around for years. I have several of them and never use them. They used to actually come with the tools
Love the Rye OB not Ree OB necklace👍

Got a few blue ones. Very helpful
Wow! Had no idea they existed either!! And OMG you are freakin hilarious! New jewelry LMAO

Had these for years there great!!
“They’re.”
My first gen Ryobi tools came with one. This was almost 20yrs ago though.

I smashed the 👍 LIKE 👍 button before I clicked watch.
Been around a long time. Even from blue and yellow days. Product code was P920... Used to use them to hook onto tool belts or hang it up.
Yep those are going on my tool belt
LOVE THEM!!! Got the first gen before they were green

Holy hell. WHERE HAS THIS BEEN ALL MY LIFE? Would love to stay and chat but I need to go order about 30 of these damn things. See ya later!
Does that t also fit in the ryobi link system, then use the strap to hold non battery tools???
I could swear I learned about these adapters from a video of yours many moons ago. 🤣🤣🤣
“I have broughten…”
😂😂
They have had them for a while. I have some of the original blue and orange tools and I bought some of what is shown
I also have alit of the yellow ones. But in my area they discontinued these. I will look for more of these
Ok so I have had these for yrs and I mainly use them for when I’m going up on a roof or ladder to clip my tool to my belt.
I have a dozen or so of this for a few years already.
Brilliant!
I even have a bunch of the Blue and Yellow ones!
I have 2 blue ones that came with my original nicad starter kit. I never use them. But I might start now.
I’d like to see you review the new Ryobi HP 5” Random Orbital Sander that was “supposed” to be released early to mid September.
How about the shaft hangers for the Ryobi Xpandit line? I have been using both types of hangers sinc they have brrn on the markte
TY !!!
I've got a drawer full of the old blue and yellow ones that I don't use anymore.

😂🤣😂 Just do stand up already Clint! Great Ryobi add on for sure! 3.99 each if my math is correct!
Clint! Get some fresh air, son! That’s carbon monoxide poisoning right there!
Most of mine are yellow in color, they were the first ones that came out with rYobi tools...
Just used the link to order mine
Cool video, Ryobi/home depot owe you $$$ they're sold out and they already raised the price to $10
Someone else told me they raised the price as well, which is BS, but didn't know they sold out. Thanks for the feedback 👊
DAMN!!! I need that!!!
Bought! Don’t get it from Amazon! HD is $7.5 for two. Waaaaaat
Actually, I have owned a couple for over a decade.
