Like when that Sonic game came out a year or so ago, he admitted he never played the Sonic games but complained about the mechanics and gameplay that is what Sonic is all about. When he started doing it with other games that's when I had to take his input with a grain of salt.

Then there's the 8/10 category... you have maybe one or two more games in the year You're going to play (if you haven't already maxed out at 2 big ones, like BG3 from last year plus Erdtree this year) That 8/10 isn't going to cut it when there are so many other games you could buy. Also, it's like picking a new food place for lunch. You're probably going to Google maps or yelp some places and look at reviews. Are you going to the 3.8 star place, or the 4.5 star place a few blocks over?

Afro is so wrong on this. DLC bosses are very fast and have insane gap closers that mage build is in no way easy. I played theough the DLC 3 times and strength is by far the easiest in the DLC.

If you're talking about posture breaking then that's also difficult to pull off because Radahn gives you enough time to smack him like once with an UGS before he's already attacking again or jumping away for meteors, and you can forget jumping R2's if you're using colossal weapons because you'll just lag too much and get hit. The colossal weapon you use needs to have like S tier poise damage in order to stagger him consistently. Best build to use against him is arcane for those OP bleeds, or the dragon communion lightning that can one shot even Messmer.

Afro, Mitchell is actually an action game connoisseur and have played through Ninja Gaiden Black without dying once while you can't even play Ninja Gaiden Sigma (A watered down version of Black) without dying every minute. Shadow of the Erd Tree doesn't even come close to Ninja Gaiden's Master Ninja difficulty. So a pure action game that doesn't rely on roll slop/simon says combat design like Wukong being harder than ER isn't surprising.

Enslaved is a pretty good 7/10 game. They couldn't really make a sequel out of it, but its combat could've done with another title to improve on some of its "eh" bits.
11:15 If a game is good enough that even with technical and fixable issues you enjoyed it, then you can easily give it an 8 if you don't consider those issues bad enough to affect the rating, it's a subjective.
Enslaved is an extremely underrated adventure game from the PS3 era. It’s definitely worth tracking down and playing if you get the time. I don’t remember it being an overly long game so you should be able to beat it in a few days.
To be fair Afro, you didn’t take the time to power up properly in elden ring lol. You nerfed yourself which just makes the time spent on it longer. For him, he probably got all the fragments and used things that scaled properly.
Afro used Backhand Blades (the most busted dlc dex weapon) and leveled his stats appropriately for his build. He couldn’t have been much better prepared for Radahn and he still got wrecked. I disagree with Afro’s choice of Talismans against Radahn, but other than that, his build was solid.

@@edelric321 I also don't use summons (like 95%+ of the times) But is still a "challenge run" technically speaking, you are closing yourself out of options and mechanics that are indeed meant to be used to personally adjust the flow of the fights and their difficulty just because a loud and toxic part of the community wants to push others in a d**k measuring contest and shame others to boost their ego. I would say that around half of the people that don't use summons have this mentality.

Afro, the only reaason you struggled the way you did in Elden Ring was because of the way you insisted on playing. Whether with regards to your mid dex build, your insistence on not summoning, and your use of an armor set that increased damage to yourself, and then finally you assistance on not farming out scadu fragments...cousin that's on you. Almost any other playstyle makes Elden ring much easier lmao.
The IGN review seemed pretty fair to me, the reviewer was extremely positive about almost everything but the various bugs and lack of features (like a map) stopped it short of getting a 9, an 8 is a great score idk why people are hating 😂
Considering the “journey to the west soulslike” rep its had so far (even if thats not entirely accurate) I don’t think lack of a map will be too much of an issue.
The lack of map is probably on purpose to replicate the original JTTW. As the whole journey, they just move in the direction of the west, not knowing where they are going, not having any maps

There's no way afro said the Elden Ring dlc as a mage is easy. It's even harder as a mage cos every boss is so damn aggressive that u have so few windows to let out any spells unless u use summons.

Well you're supposed to use summons... so as a mage or cleric it's RELATIVELY easy compared to a melee-only build as you can usually be somewhat safe as you unload on them as their taking out your summon.

Consort Radahn is artificially difficult by having an undodgeable attack and hard to see headache giving attacks. Phase two is actually awful.

Afro is so wrong on this. DLC bosses are very fast and have insane gap closers that mage build is in no way easy. I played theough the DLC 3 times and strength is by far the easiest in the DLC.

If you're talking about posture breaking then that's also difficult to pull off because Radahn gives you enough time to smack him like once with an UGS before he's already attacking again or jumping away for meteors, and you can forget jumping R2's if you're using colossal weapons because you'll just lag too much and get hit. The colossal weapon you use needs to have like S tier poise damage in order to stagger him consistently.
Best build to use against him is arcane for those OP bleeds, or the dragon communion lightning that can one shot even Messmer.

Mage builds are easier than melee builds because you don’t have to time attacks as precisely. But they’re still challenging in elden ring dlc.

Afro, Mitchell is actually an action game connoisseur and have played through Ninja Gaiden Black without dying once while you can't even play Ninja Gaiden Sigma (A watered down version of Black) without dying every minute.
Shadow of the Erd Tree doesn't even come close to Ninja Gaiden's Master Ninja difficulty. So a pure action game that doesn't rely on roll slop/simon says combat design like Wukong being harder than ER isn't surprising.

Enslaved is an extremely underrated adventure game from the PS3 era. It’s definitely worth tracking down and playing if you get the time. I don’t remember it being an overly long game so you should be able to beat it in a few days.
To be fair Afro, you didn’t take the time to power up properly in elden ring lol. You nerfed yourself which just makes the time spent on it longer. For him, he probably got all the fragments and used things that scaled properly.
Afro used Backhand Blades (the most busted dlc dex weapon) and leveled his stats appropriately for his build. He couldn’t have been much better prepared for Radahn and he still got wrecked. I disagree with Afro’s choice of Talismans against Radahn, but other than that, his build was solid.
@@crackededge9351 he did the same for malenia having 2 whips with bleed and frost with swarm of flies which was op at the time. His problem is his garbage talisman and armor. Man had zero defense talisman and Rakshaka armor and getting 3 shotted and didn’t think something is wrong

I would say that around half of the people that don't use summons have this mentality.

Afro, the only reaason you struggled the way you did in Elden Ring was because of the way you insisted on playing. Whether with regards to your mid dex build, your insistence on not summoning, and your use of an armor set that increased damage to yourself, and then finally you assistance on not farming out scadu fragments...cousin that's on you. Almost any other playstyle makes Elden ring much easier lmao.

Considering the “journey to the west soulslike” rep its had so far (even if thats not entirely accurate) I don’t think lack of a map will be too much of an issue.
The lack of map is probably on purpose to replicate the original JTTW. As the whole journey, they just move in the direction of the west, not knowing where they are going, not having any maps

There's no way afro said the Elden Ring dlc as a mage is easy. It's even harder as a mage cos every boss is so damn aggressive that u have so few windows to let out any spells unless u use summons.

Well you're supposed to use summons... so as a mage or cleric it's RELATIVELY easy compared to a melee-only build as you can usually be somewhat safe as you unload on them as their taking out your summon.
