Whilst in bed, you can adjust the angle to prop the laptop sideways, you can use the laptop as a glorified tablet. Though I wouldn't recommend in case you cover the vents and the bottom.

Well it depends on what you need. For maximum portability the 13 is great, especially with that sweet 2K screen. The D15 comes with the most powerful CPU but if you don't need a Ryzen 7 but still want power and portability without squinting at the screen, the D14 is the way to go.

I have a Zenbook 14 and Im personally extremely happy with it! It can do light gaming like Minecraft, RTS games without any problems. As for work and typing is where it really shines. Battery life is okay, not phenomenal but also not bad. It has an IPS display which is really nice but it also means there will be a lot of glare if you are taking it outside.
