Its a shame really, i loved his top 10 or 5 videos and his character question videos.
Bionicle is such a niche community to lose any creator is a massive loss may he rest in peace.
I only discovered Bionicle for the first time ever half a year before he perished. This is going to sound cruel of me, but... while part of me wishes I got to know him better. But part of me is also glad that I didn't get to know him more. In fact... the idea of him being remembered only makes me feel worse... because... no matter how much the dead are remembered, the dead themselves forget..
Isn't there any hope that TheShadowedOne1 is watching over those he's left behind? ...That he... remembers them and the Bionicle fandom too?
I just learned the news today. He was one of the pioneers of the Bionicle community.
Nathan will be greatly missed, his passion for film and Bionicle in general was one of his biggest strong suits.
My deepest condolences to his family and friends, rest in peace Nathan.
I just learned of this yesterday... I have been watching since his Phantoka/Makuta days. I loved Reign of Mesodax and Salvation. His creativity and movie making was unlike any one else. He was the one who got me back into Bionicle. Thanks for all you did for this community Nathan.
Indeed, may he rest in the unlimited pieces of the Great Lego Bin in the Sky, where there's new Bionicle sets on the shelves every week and the stories never end.
One of my greatest regrets is, I never told him about my bionicle Jurassic Park series he would’ve loved it.

I'm legitimately saddened when I heard about his death in March I'm gonna miss all his videos I do still hope others continue what he did and make tributes to the shadowedone1 so every bionicle fan will look back and remember him forever
His stop-motion animation, and the rest of his content, showed just much how much time and effort he dedicated to his art. The passion, the enthusiasm, was for all to see. Rest in peace.
This community has lost someone very special. May the Great spirit protect and carry him to the place he loved so much and journey on to his next adventure on the island of Mata Nui. Rest in Peace great story teller and may your legacy continue to show your passion and love for this community for many years to come.

I mostly know him for his voice work in the Takadox and Pridak show, theshadowedone1 was honestly one of the best bio tubers I’ve ever seen. I personally would’ve loved to have met him but I hope his family finds the comfort and support they need during this time.
I’ve grew up watching his videos and I loved his work and even his great taste in movies. I too have a similar taste in movies. May be rest in peace.

I myself used to watch his videos all the time growing up & had a sudden urge to rewatch some older videos just now just to end up here. It's unbelievable how fast life changes... He was such an incredible inspiration for me when I made Bionicle videos over 10 years ago. He will forever be missed & go down in history for being such a wonderful & talented person. May he rest in peace❤️

Such a shame since he got me into Bionicle once it was few months before his passing. Sad that he couldn't see Bionicle's return.

I wasn’t even aware of his passing until the day 2 stream of this year, it hit me like a sack of bricks. Does anyone know how he passed? He was way too young
I didn't realize until a couple of months after his passing, when someone told me who ALSO just found out. I made a video telling everyone about the news, and I STILL get new comments showing shock that he's gone.
Every 810 day. We shall remember the shadow 1 one also known as nate. Rip
I swear, I've seen new videos from his channel pop up on multiple occasions since I've heard of his passing, so this all has been very confusing for me.

Watch his videos since his pantoka series. And eagerly awaited every video since. Was shocked to learn of his death. Bio tube just doesn’t feel the same without him anymore
here to bring a update on his passing a few minutes ago after rewatching Shades video on Nathan's passing Nathan's mom ( atleast we think it's his ) made a comment on his video giving us the answer on how he died and she said it took 8 months to find out but the coroner stated his death was caused by a rare genetic heart disease called brugada syndrome so now we have some closure on to what happened
I know this is a morbid question to ask, but who announced his passing on where? Does anyone know how he died? I ask these questions because all of this comes as a big shock to me, especially since no one even knew for quite a few months. It's shocking how someone can just drop off the face of the Earth and not even know what has happened to you until much later, *if at all.* It's a very scary realization to try and cope with. For all we know, so many other TH-camrs could be dead and literally no one else would know about it. This doesn’t just apply to TH-camrs and Bionicle either, this can apply for anyone, especially with even more obscure examples. What about the people from over 20 years ago? Another good example that comes to my mind are animators for stickfigures, like Simon Stenhouse who made Die In Style. Literally no me knows what happened to him since 2004. It's… haunting, to say the least. Hopefully most who disappear are still alive and are living a good life, and for those who are gone may they Rest In Peace.

How did he die tho? And why did we not know about it until 5 months after his reported death?
we dont know for sure. he went into work that day feeling fine. came home. hit the bed and kicked the bucket in his sleep
and as far as why we didnt know until 3 months after. basically he wasnt THAT well known outside the community. lets be honest, if anyone in the bionicle community died and no one was directly around to report on it we would have no idea.
