Can anyone help me please 🥺 how can I combine both curtain bangs and butterfly cut together? Or if I do the butterfly cut, I'll naturally get curtain bangs with it so I don't have to do it seperately?
You have no idea how good it is to hear someone say "I have fine hair; a lot of it, but fine hair!" I've been trying to tell my friend this for years and they can't wrap their head around the concept of having 'lots' of fine hair😂👍🏼
I have had so many stylists try to get me to not do layering in my hair. They claim it will make it look thinner. Um, no. It actually gives it body and makes it look thicker. I always insist they continue.
Omg!!!! Thank you for showing the back. That part is so important to know how it will turn out. Hardly anyone shows it. THANK YOU. You’re a lifesaver. 🙏🏽💕
I love how neatly combed the two ponytails are. So many of these butterfly tutorials activate some major OCD (that i don't even have) when they leave the hair partially or unevenly combed. Nice work :)
@@OneLove101. I did it the other day (turned out good, however I only cut a short amount because I got scared, so there wasn’t as noticeable layers) and my hair is so thick I genuinely spent 45 minutes trying to perfect and part my hair. It started drying too because I kept brushing through it and messing with it. I’m thinking about trying it again tomorrow to cut it shorter. Thick and coarse hair struggles haha
@@enexius67 I’m so glad you said this. Everyone else seemed to get the part easily 😀 I ended up doing it three times, and have cut mines lots shorter. Once I’d started, I couldn’t notice the layers either, so I went a bit crazy. It’s only hair, after all ☺️ Good luck with your second go. I had a wee skooshy bottle of water because mines kept drying too 🤣 Good luck ❤️
It looks fabulous. I did mine a few months ago after I saw one of Brad's videos, and now I just trim it up every 6 or 8 weeks. I've honestly never been happier with a haircut, although it doesn't look nearly as good as yours because it's shorter and I'm a lot older.
I had super long hair but it is fine and was looking flat and dull so I tried the butterfly cut and cut it really short.. I was worried thinking it will look bad but this is the prettiest hair cut I've ever had!
Mine is wavy and thick about your length. I did this cut two days ago. Still adjusting to the shorter length around my face which is chin length but overall I like it. The layering is even and nice in the back and not too much of a V shape. I think it’ll look better when it grows out about an inch. This is definitely a better cut for straight hair.
I notice that you blended the two lengths together at the end. I think people that aren’t good with scissors might need to know this. They might end up at the salon after all.
I’m not a stylist so I don’t know any proper techniques, but I could imagine if you split that too pony into two, and but the one closest to your forehead, it would give you shorter layers on the top of your head. Again, not a stylist. Hahahha so that’s just what I thinkkkkk? 🤷🏽♀️ maybe a stylist will comment and let us know 🫶🏽
I just did mine agin since it grew out, but I cut more off because the first I was having a panic attack thinking I messed up or it would look bad but it came out amazing. Just watching other people try while waiting for my hair to dry:)
Idk if you’ve done it yet, but I think it looks better on wavy and curly hair than straight!! Layers on straight hair can look very choppy if not styled/blended right. So you’re in the right alley for this haircut (as long as you follow all the directions carefully) 😊

I HIGHLY recommend brad mondo on yt for any hair cutting tutorials- he’s great at it
Yessssss!!! I watched his butterfly cut one before doing this!! So helpful!
@@morganlhill yesss!! Love him, lol
He’s the one who created this technique
Try cut hair ends with trimer. So precise

YES! It’s a ton a thin strands hahah! My hair girl told me and I was like that makes so much sense.
Same me too
Me too
Me too!
I have the opposite: thick strands but not very full
Omg thank you. You're the only one who didn't style it so excessively so i can see how the cut actually turned out! I really appreciate it🙏🏻❤️🥰
Aww!! Yay!!! Yeah I definitely wanted to see what it was like just blown out straight. I love it that way!!
@@morganlhill It looks amazing, you rock it!!!
U looked so tense while cutting it glad it came out well

Oh yes! We can’t have a crazy look in the back! Hahahha
Did I miss her trimming the back ponytail somehow?

Haha thank you!!!! I get that!
That was the hardest part for me, getting the part right. I have thick hair, and it took so long to find the part 🤯

Gorgeous
I really want a butterfly haircut but I’m scared to go back to school looking new with my hair and stuff😢 and I’m scared people will make fun of me…..
Amazing
Thanks Samantha!!!
This Looks amazing! Do you know what to do if I want high layers but do not want to lose length? 😚

The front ponytail is too high. Must be down at the level of your eyebrows.
thats a good one

I tried this cut and totally butchered it lol, ended up having a pixie at the salon and absolutely love it
My🦋😢🦇😭😭 it's 😊 practice makes perfect 😬😬plus more hairpins 😬😬
I am this 🤏🏼 close to cutting my hair tonight lmao one answer comment and I'll do it
Ok then
Yeah do it you’ll feel gorgeous in the end
Umm, will it look good on long wavy hair? Like i wanna cut my hair. And i am NOT confident as i never did any haircut. So?!

Looks like a layer cut to me
Looks way younger
🌝i have been cutting my hair like this for 6 years
I m scared what if that doesn't work for me🙂
Did someone see the glitch 😮
Brad mondo is going to mad bec u used craft scissors 😂

Very well done!! Please buy some hair cutting scissors though if there's a next time.
Yeah I think I may upgrade my current hair shears. They’ve dulled after a while
You mean 90’s layers?
What I thought it was called wolf cut ?!!?!??!?!
her hair's not fine (thin) at all
so a wolf cut?
So I kinda thought the same thing… I feel like every wolf cut I’ve seen is a lot shorter and has way more layers? But idk! Haha!!!
No, a wolf cut is just one high ponytail while a butterfly cut is two ponytails hence creating more layers. A wolf cut has no layers in the back it’s just face framing layers.
"promosm" 🎶
I highly recommend NOT cutting your hair wet
The results are oh my God
