went there with my partner - she's never been more impressed that i know all the joints and the names of dishes and their history etc learned all from youtube. I would have gone on better dates if I knew this much about food in sydney.
Since we filmed this video, I've tried two more amazing places that are worth mentioning and I wish I tried them in this video! (1) Niu Want Want for Guangdong street food and beef offal/tripe (2) Tasty of Penang for Malaysian fried noodles Hope you guys try those too 😁 thanks for watching!!!
"Burwood Chinatown looks like a food lover's dream! 🍜🥟 So many amazing spots to try-this food tour is a must for anyone visiting Sydney. 😋🇦🇺 Can’t wait to see all the delicious street food you explore!"
I think the fried is a nice entry level, the braised ones can definitely be a bit how you goin at first if you're not accustomed to them. Thanks for watching 😁
I get the lamb skewers often! Covered it in my previous Burwood Cheap Eats video so thought I'd give it a skip this time around. Also would highly recommend the lamb skewers at Apandim restaurant down the road, they're next level!
This was an amazing video on Burwood Chinatown u showcased some DELICIOUS food ..I have had chicken feet but not the fried ones I have to try it ..The skewers looked yummy and the chicken popcorn ..I love it all ..Thanks Kev such a great vid ❤️🥰💕…x
OMG, I didn't realise Burwood had all these eateries.....mind you, it's been about 24 years since I've been to Burwood. Must check out some of these goodies! Hope you can make it to the Hurstville Fringe Festival on the 15 September. Reckon it should be pretty mad!
I didn't grow up in Burwood but I've always been a visitor to the area and I love how much it's grown in the last decade or so! It's really become a hub for good food!
Oh boy, I'm a brazilian who's been living in Australia for 10m and literally wasted like 3 months trying to find a house or shared bedroom in Burwood area just to live in a walking distance to chinatown, that place is amazing, and the other restaurants in the surroundings as well, probably my go to place when its comes to eating out. Anyway, didn't find a house in burwood, so I moved to Rhodes... Btw when are you going to Granville Saray Sweets? It's a place that's not really strong when it comes to restaurants, but still Saray Sweets is a hidden gem to that area, I really hope you go there some day and make the place more popular. Cheers.
@Sydney Food Boy great 👍 video keep up the good work . I just subscribed to your channel . Yes I have had chicken 🐓 feet before I like the white chicken feet you get at Yum Cha restaurants. I don’t like the brown one it’s too spicy 🌶 for me . I haven’t tried fried chicken feet yet . I’ve been to Burwood Chinatown before they have nice ice cream there . I had a teriyaki chicken bento 🍱 box it was yummy 😋. My sister and her boyfriend at dumplings 🥟 or wontons with soup 🍲 from Mum’s Kitchen .
Recommend tomatoes whenever trying tanghulu And as a Taiwanese, there’s a small shop called Teng Ji which sells grass jelly desserts, I would say it’s pretty authentic
I planned to but ran out of stomach space and felt it was a disservice to not go hungry 😂 I went the week after actually, filmed a short for Insta so stay tuned for that 🙂
Those sugar coated fruits are called 糖葫芦(Tang Hu Lu)in Chinese, and Tang Hu Lu is actually originated from Beijing. To some extend, it represent Beijing as a cultural symbol. It's such a traditional sweet treat that you‘ll often see in market fairs during the Spring Festival. The most iconic and traditional flavor is made of hawthorns.
its getting sad in sydney alone , u can't find much australian restaraunts its mostly asian backgrounds only! i stop going to the city! i dont hate asians its just hard to read there menu and know what is in there food and how they cook it! only western sydney is the best because that where u can get anyfood u desire to

Please be aware that tanghulu is a Beijing local specialty. nothing relate to Korea.
