- Hello everyone today I have made a video about faulty Parking assistance in Peugeot 407. I have tried to cover different faults that can occur in this Peugeot 407 parking assistance system also ways to diagnose it and also how to locate parts which might need replacement or repair. I have tried to fix my parking assistance while making this video but unfortunately I will have to wait for a replacement part to be able to finish fixing my parking assistance system and you will see exactly what happen if you watch this video. Never the less I hope you guys will find this video use full and it helps you to diagnose a problem with you parking assistance in you Peugeot 407s.

Sir I cannot thank you enough for such a helpful video. I had a parking assist fault on my 2006 406 saloon gt hdi.
When I lifted the spare wheel out there was one inch of water on the bottom. I cleaned it all out and saw the loom coming from the parking ecu was soaking wet.
I opened the parking ecu module and it was wet and almost muddy inside!! So I nicely cleaned it and gently dried it out.
While it was drying I used a hot air gun to dry the loom and connectors in the boot
Once everything was connected back, hey presto. Brand new !!!

Thanks for educating us. I really like your video. Pls keep up the good work. I've a problem with my peugeot 407sw A/C. It's working but, not blowing cold air as it should. After topping up my AC gas.. What's your advice on it. Because I was told to change the AC expansion valve.. pls help me with an advice on it. Thanks 😊 🫂 🙏🏾
Hello mate thank you for your comment. 407s suffer from a lot of AC problems sometimes it can be AC pump or where the belt turns a pump it's like a little pump clutch which gives up and makes pump useless. Sometimes actual gas is leaking. If there is a pressure and the pressure stay then its most likely a AC pump or a part of it. I am not AC specialist so I don't know that much about them but the problems I come mentioned I have come across before few times.
It could be expansion valve aswell is just I never heard them fail.
My parking assistance is faulty but it does not show up on any screen like in the beginning of your video. Also my rear hatch stopped working completely. This started after installing an Android radio but fitting the original one back does not fix the issues. Any idea why that could be?
Depends how the u it was i stalled sometimes the wires in a back is mixed up a bit could cause a short cut somethere worth checking all fuses first then scan and see if parking system come up with any faults and take it from there then all this unit swapping start sometimes is hard to get all functions back after
Hi this is completely off topic. But i noticed it in your video. The clock - tine and the date only flash on the multimedia on every start . I have the same car. Can you tell me how to fix it. When i set it up, it only stays until the ignition is switched off. Thanks in advance
Sorry mate i cant remember now but i think its one of the settings on a unit it should stay once you set it up. Mine i never set as i remove battery from car and then it goes back to old time and date.
Excellent and well detailed video once again from you mate and this time on parking sensors. I am facing exactly the same fault with with my 2010 407 SW but I dont have daigbox so not been able to detect this code. Do you suggest to buy Diagbox (can you help in this regard please)?
Hello my friend if you plan to keep a car or you like French cars and you can see yourself having a French cars for some time in a future then I would buy Diagbox. It costs 50£ on ebay. You can use it on any Peugeot, Citroen, Ds and its amazing how many things you can do with it.

@@Mad4FrenchCars mate, some sellers are saying to buy the latest 9.91 version and Rev C. They are around £115 on ebay.
Is that worth? Which one do you recommend?
@@rishahid bare in mind latest version might not always work as well as older versions
@@rishahid I have a fairly old version but it works on Windows 10 if I update it it doesn't work. You could make it work if you could do it on virtual drive. I find out that old versions seem to be more stable
What if the parking sensor button does nothing? The 'off' is always enabled and pressing it does nothing. It has been like that since I got the car so I assumed maybe there's a fault and the car simply wont allow me to even try to turn them back on again, but maybe it's something else. I'm not getting any errors on the display, wish I had the fancier PSA scan equipment though
It needs to be scanned as it well be as you mentioned that car doesn't allow the sensors to be turned on as it detects a fault somethere in a parking system
I have the same problem with my peugeot partner 2013. The off bottom is disabled ( so normally it needs to work), and I also don't get a fault message. Did you solve your problem?

Hi mate usual faulty sensor is a Cluch position sensor wich is located on center slave sylinder( basicly a hidraulic frust bearing with sensor on it.) then Cluch starts to slip and run thin that sensor indicates a fault and it comes up as gearbox faulty. Other sensors are quite reliable also actuator selenoids can be checked individually to see if they work. Wich sensors are you relating to? Nor. Ally you can plug Diagbox and see the reading if readings comming through then sensors are functioning if no reading comming through from something that should give reading then it means it's dead
No idea how you survive without rear parking sensors!! If you have faulty front parking sensors, then you can disconnect the front loom at the right hand side wheel well (drivers side), make sure you make both sides of that connector water tight! Then using Peugeot Diagbox, change BSI to rear parking sensors only... that will atleast make the rear sensors work. Also, on the coupe, there is no way to access the front parking sensors without removing bumper, there is a foam block which covers the sensors!
Good idea about disconnecting front parking sensors if they are faulty and change a settings in BSI to have only rear working. Thank you for comment. its always nice to hear a different ideas.
Hello I`m so glad I found your channel, you seem like the only one that knows how to fix these damn pretentious Peugeots haha ! A bit off topic for this video, but I have a faulty fuel filler cap sensor on my 607, and I can't figure out how to change it. Would you have any idea ? I found the connector under the backseat next to the fuel pump, but I can't figure out how to get to the other end behind the fuel cap. Because of this sensor my DPF is getting clogged :( Thank you, and keep up the great work !
Hello mate thank you for a nice comment please subscribe and stick around I make new videos every week. Regarding your fuel cap issue it looks like you have done some homework already and you are heading in to the right direction. As you are aware filler cap must have 2 magnets which makes a resistance once it gets closer to sensor and that is what sensor is measuring. If magnets falls out of the cap then you need to replace a cap. If you 100% sure sensor is faulty then you would be able to access top of it if you remove a fuel cap flap locking mechanism and then a protective rubber around the top of fuel tank where you put a fuel in. Access is not great and also a space to reach a sensor is not great but you should be ok. Its very hard to explain a procedure but I would start from removing rear driver side wheel, remove rear side driver side wheel arch liner( it's all becouse then you undo your fuel filler flap lock mechanism it will fall in a arch liner space. Once the lock is out of the way you should be able to remove the rubber easily together with a whole fuel filler flap. Also make sure fuel cap is off. After removing a bit around a place where you put your fuel in you should be left with tunnel looking top of the fuel tank sticking out. Sensor is reachable with fingers and jyou probably will be able to see it now. Job is easy but hard to explain

@@ibdark you can reset a counter of additive tank with Diagbox or pp2000
@@ibdark not sure how the additive tank has anything to do with a fuel cap sensor but you never know its a French car so it might be connected somehow in some way
@@Mad4FrenchCars well the fuel cap sensor tells the additive tank ecu that the car has been refilled and to pump some eolys into the fuel tank from what I understand, and since I've had the sensor error for 2 years now, and god knows how much before that the previous owner has had it, I`ve no idea if there's any additive left in there, or how much/little actually gets pumped in there. By the name of the error I just thought it was supposed to tell me if I forgot to put the fuel cap back on or not and I thought f it I don't really care about that haha, who knew it was connected to the additive system

Had a look but couldn't find a location of fuse myself neither owners manual or online info helps. Got a new 508 myself so curious to find out will keep you posted
