Interesting race. The GTR was pulling on the Plaid as speeds increased, and look at the trap speed! The very best a Plaid can do is around 150mph in the 1/4. It will never match 160+mph. Finally seeing some really fast ICE cars against the Plaid, rather than just average ones. The ICE boys are gonna have to step up their game big time this year.

There is nothing about the Tesla or any electric car that can get the blood pumping like the scream of internal combustion engine .. the growl,the rumble, the shaking... The blow off of a turbo or the whine of a supercharger... The comp of a big lob cam.. the rushing whoosh of a blast of nitrous.. rev an electric engine... Nope just doesn't do it for me ... I'd rather have a 200 hp 4 cylinder with headers and no muffler ffs and even if the pipe in the sound of a real engine it's still not gonna work ... Yea that's what I said until I actually got in a model 3 long range. I sold my m3 and got a model 3 performance. Still have an ICE car, but when you floor it it's otherworldly. It's technically only around 480 HP but god that initial step and u feel like you can beat a 1500 HP GTR, when in reality you probably can't. That instant and linear delivery just messes with you and it pushes u back it feels so fun (it's like VTEC but reversed). Feels like you're in a jet. And I got an ICE car too, a challenger srt8 and it sounds nice but to me, a 4 cylinder or a 6 without a muffler sounds obnoxious. I'd rather listen to an electric motor than that 200 HP 4 cyl you described. I like the sound of internal combustion engines, but there's a line between an engine that sounds actually good and a muffler delete 4 cylinder corolla where you just want to slice off your ears. And I've ran into a lot of those cars and they're loud...but they don't sound good at all. It's like listening to a musical instrument and a fire alarm. Do you want to listen to the louder thing here? Probably not. ICE has some of the best sounding vehicles...but they also have vehicles that sound worse than EVs. That's my real truth.

both, the tesla driver ws sleeping and the gtr was fast. still, the tesla can do this thousands of times with minimal service and be a normal car between races and the GTR needs a full service every week and a partial rebuild every couple months and needs to be trailerd and run on special fuel. Why not take the gtr for a pretty similar price? Spend some money on it and that power will jump really quick, Nissan built a wild engine there that can easily handle 800-1000hp while staying a daily driver. Fast, corners quick, fun

GTR failed to start. If you look at the GTR's arrival at the start from the beginning, you can see that the driver is not focused and the start confirmed it. If the start is successful, the loss will start at 1 second or more.
No matter how fast they make their cars the GT-R guys find a way to beat it.

both, the tesla driver ws sleeping and the gtr was fast. still, the tesla can do this thousands of times with minimal service and be a normal car between races and the GTR needs a full service every week and a partial rebuild every couple months and needs to be trailerd and run on special fuel. THAT is the big difference here.

If the plaid did a perfect launch he would of still lost. The GTR did 9.04 sec. The best a plaid can do is 9.2 sec. Unless you remove all the seats and do weight reduction. Even with that the GTR would of still won.

As I understand Plaid has the best traction control so at an average dusty road it should be faster. Anyway its too heavy for cornering and not good about maximum speed. I would rather take Porsche if I want a fast car that not only good at a crossroad jumping.
By the way, tesla introduced track package which unlocks its speed to 200+ mph, and it corners pretty well. 7:25 in nurburgring

I didn't drive the Track Package - The speed is unlocked but you can't even drive a wheel - the car overheats and limits performance. It can also be seen in the video from the last record instead of 322 km/h in the video 289 km/h. It can be seen that Speed is blocked. I was just laughing that Tesla warns about the F1 Eagle Supercar 3R tires in its shop, that they are racing tires that are not allowed on the road.

I'm not surprised that demand has fallen and so have sales. A discount of NOK 50,000 is nice, but it shows that something is wrong. And even if it costs 89,990, from my point of view it's too much for a car that doesn't work as a whole. I'll buy a Superba and have a much bigger and more comfortable car for half the price and most importantly it will work. There were 12 Model S's in my area and not one here. None of them bought a Tesla again. 2 went back to diesel.

Why not take the gtr for a pretty similar price? Spend some money on it and that power will jump really quick, Nissan built a wild engine there that can easily handle 800-1000hp while staying a daily driver. Fast, corners quick, fun
