In 1996, the first Seat with the Cupra name was launched, starting a saga of passion cars that were the best the Spanish brand had to offer. Today, Cupra has evolved into a 100% independent brand within the Volkswagen Group with its own very radical models, such as the Formentor VZ5.
This first Cupra is a second-generation Ibiza, with a 2.0 naturally aspirated 150 hp engine and its own details that make it very exclusive. Its main rival was the legendary Renault Clio Williams (also the Citröen Saxo VTS), all of them small giants capable of putting much more powerful cars to shame.
