I don't like this. Only the Centre Backs have defensive duties and I don't like how the DLP is sitting. Also, to have WBs and Ws is a little overload on the wings. Add to that that you have two BPDs + an DLP. A lot of passing there. Lastly, since Cuisance is left footed he will mostly play to the left winger or the pressing striker which is not optimal. I am at minute 3:23, let's see if you can explain that. But hell, if it works it works, but I don't think I will try it. I am more in a diamond mood :) Cool video tho, always happy about FM content and the FM community is the loviest one of all "game-communities". The amout of toxicity is impressivly low. edit: I hope you will talk about the player traits, I looked up Cuisance and he has Curls Ball and Likes To Switch Ball To Other Flank, which makes it even weirder that he is a left footed centre left midfielder and he will try to reach the right winger. I would probably play him on the right-centre and add a few more suited player traits. EDIT: You were able to explain, nice :D kisses!
My regen striker scored 67 goals in one season while the second striker scored 35. Strikers have been consistent with more than 30 goals each season. Dominating premier league for more than 9 years. Thankyou for the tactic
Stumbled across this video in my recommended and decided to try it out as I just got promoted to ligue 1 with le havre. It's working wonders, 26 games in and I'm 5th with a below average squad in every stat. Also had important wins against Lillie, Marseille, Lyon, Monaco and most importantly, didn't get absolutely battered battered by PSG 🙌
I agree, the 442 is very effective this season. Palermo, I tried other formations and managed to get back to back promotions via play offs to make it into Serie A as they start in Serie C. Season 3 I played 442 and finished 4th, 2nd, 2nd, 1st in Serie A. My tactic is very similar but not the same player instructions.
Currently using this tactic with Dover Athletic Football Club, Vanarama National League. was predicted to struggle for survival but i am sat 2nd in league in December. amazing tactic!!!
This tactic still works, after fm21 i am playing fm23. Tried 2 tactics both were decent but not overpowered as this one. So tried to use this in fm23 and bang on the verge of automatic promotion in vnl North.
I love the way the 4 in midfield sit and take turns to press the ball carrier in such a structured and organised way. If you are a fan of beautiful, pass and move FM formations, this isn't really it (though it is very effective). But if you get off on beautiful, effective, structured defending, this is pornographic ;)
Tactic is good. Been using it for about a week now and have won things. World Cup with England. Finished Second with in PL with Leyton Orient won Europa League and FA Cup so having success. Only thing is consistancy. Sometimes the team looks majestic other times we look so feeble defensively. They just play over the top of the defense or just run straight through on a counter. Not sure if I just need better players or not. But like I said I have had some joy.

Started using this tactic in my Huddersfield save switched to this half way through the first season in the prem and managed to get in the euro league places
Using this with Charlton Athletic and in past 10 league games (league one I'm yet to be beaten) Also used the set piece setup and my 6"4 defender I bought Juno Simunovic got a hatrick!! Lol!! Got him free transfer released from Celtic lol, will take Charlton to the premier league I think with this methods Thanks sir

Im in a fantasy league at the lowest level possible, and even my crappy 2 star players are seeing great results! First game both strikers scored goals as you predicted, and now that my team has some familiarity with the positions we're 2nd spot in the league halfway into the season. Thanks for a great vid!
Hi my first year on FM, still playing Fm21 to learn some things before upgrading the game. - Was looking for a 3rd formation to use since I have 2 pretty decent tactics. Right now I am in the 14-15 season on my 5th Molde save., things are going well. Thou I need a little push to get through the UCL group stage, as I drew Real Madrid and Inter! I lost the first game 3-2 against Real. Madrid, and in all the seasons this save not been able to get passed the quarter-final of the UCL or the semi's of Europa league! Just need a pick me up!.
Two issue I am having with this. Higher defensive line means I get counter attacked too easy and maybe attacking is a bit gunho. I am in a new season now and having mixed results.i did very well with the tactic last season winning the FA Cup and World Cup with England but now with my club team I am struggling.
@10.41 and the instructions for the DLP question. I play FM21 Touch and it won't allow to "close down more". Pressing intensity on Touch is automatically set to press less urgent and can't be customised. Now I can normally copy from tactics on TH-cam to Touch, but for some odd reason this is one thing that differs from full FM to Touch. Do you think it'll make much difference?

Can you do a video showing how you started and recruited for Hereford in season 1. Showing the tactic in premier league is nice but how did you get there? Simple and then add instructions or something different. How did you build and expand the tactic from season 1 to now?
Used it for a few days now. Very good tactics. Strikers scored more than ever and I won my first major trophy an FA Cup and even got to the semis of the champions league with little Leyton Orient. However I find the tactic can concede a lot of goals. Just a case of not havening good enough players?
I've had mixed success with this tactic. Worked for England winning world cup. But I found mixed results at club level. Sometimes battering teams other times getting battered. I have a world class team now so maybe I could give it another good. Do you not think the slow tempo allows the opposition to get organised and back in to position? I also found I conceded the same type of goals. I.e through balls and over the top long balls.

Managing Besiktas in Turkey. I'am thinking of using this formation for my save, just wondering, do you have a training schedule for this tactic? I hope this formation can be useful for me as I have bought in a lot of strikers. I have mostly used a young Turkish striker named Enis Destan, really good young player. @@Clayts Cheers for that pal, this tactic is crazy good btw, well for me at least, I'm currently in my 2nd season with Blackburn and sitting in 6th in the PL in Jan. Sometimes take a real heavy defeats with 8-1 to LFC and 6-1 to SUFC but we score so many overall so can't complain. Thanks again!

I am Villa Teresa in Uruguay, and the signs at the start are not very encouraging... will keep pluggin on... need a complete playing staff rebuild, with no money, I fear the sack will be nearer rather than a rebuild

Honestly, love most of them. Minor things really, Gosens has traits that scared me. I’d maybe want an upgrade on Demirbay at DLP and make sure you have ox as the Bbm. I love the wingers and I’d just make sure I play Werner as the PF on the left as he’s either footed. Vardy is great as the AF.
@@Clayts yup, all of your players are 3.5 stars and then Demirbay (DLP) is only 3. When I looked at that immediately I recalled you specifying that position be your best, and I put it arguably as your worst. Ox box to box of course. Werner was on left yup. Gosens is my favorite left back, but then I realized I play him as a winger lol first game finished 4-2. 2.95xG v 2.03xG. Lukaku scored all 4 (Werner scored both of yours)... he is pretty overpowered for 50M. I will change Gosens, Demirbay and Lukaku for the next test.
No worries. 1) 432 (move the DLP central and have two BBMs) 2) I usually move to a 4231 (shadow striker) with the same instructions as this when I need a goal. 3) defending a lead I move a striker into an AM and go 4411, drop to positive.
good player for fm must be have so much expirence..so many people dont understand what is import in game for win I thinke it is import to be winning manager

I'm going to use your tactic in my save with lousitania de lourosa, a team from the 3rd division of Portugal which I managed to guide all the way up to primiera liga and champions League. I've played 442 before in the team and the players I've got are meant for this formation. Although I like your approach I'm going to use a complete forward instead of a pressure one. Struggling with this...Might be just need to change squad but I have a leaking defense..... Barely any short passing - always long balls. I guess it doesnt help I have majority right footed players lol

This is legitimately the best tactic I’ve ever used
I haven't tried this one yet but by far the best tactic I've come across is the LIDA4-1-3-2-0 Strikerless tactic and it's not even close

How do you add pass shorter to BPD defend and close down more to the wingbacks? I can’t add those instructions

Tactical style?
Nothing in particular, it’s custom, so you can start with whatever but those instructions will change it to custom.
This tactic is so overpowered I just won the La Liga with Milan.

Also, to have WBs and Ws is a little overload on the wings. Add to that that you have two BPDs + an DLP. A lot of passing there. Lastly, since Cuisance is left footed he will mostly play to the left winger or the pressing striker which is not optimal.

I am Villa Teresa in Uruguay, and the signs at the start are not very encouraging... will keep pluggin on... need a complete playing staff rebuild, with no money, I fear the sack will be nearer rather than a rebuild
My defense can’t keep goals out!! We either put in 6 goals or zero so it’s very hot and cold!

I am currently 2-1 up in the first game, approaching half time.
Honestly, love most of them.
Minor things really, Gosens has traits that scared me. I’d maybe want an upgrade on Demirbay at DLP and make sure you have ox as the Bbm. I love the wingers and I’d just make sure I play Werner as the PF on the left as he’s either footed. Vardy is great as the AF.
@@Clayts yup, all of your players are 3.5 stars and then Demirbay (DLP) is only 3. When I looked at that immediately I recalled you specifying that position be your best, and I put it arguably as your worst.

Gosens is my favorite left back, but then I realized I play him as a winger lol
first game finished 4-2. 2.95xG v 2.03xG. Lukaku scored all 4 (Werner scored both of yours)... he is pretty overpowered for 50M. I will change Gosens, Demirbay and Lukaku for the next test.
I absolutely love Lukaku - my go to striker for drafts.

No worries.
1) 432 (move the DLP central and have two BBMs)
2) I usually move to a 4231 (shadow striker) with the same instructions as this when I need a goal.
3) defending a lead I move a striker into an AM and go 4411, drop to positive.

I'm going to use your tactic in my save with lousitania de lourosa, a team from the 3rd division of Portugal which I managed to guide all the way up to primiera liga and champions League.
I've played 442 before in the team and the players I've got are meant for this formation. Although I like your approach I'm going to use a complete forward instead of a pressure one.

It’s not on a particular tactical style, custom/ clean slate
Struggling with this...Might be just need to change squad but I have a leaking defense..... Barely any short passing - always long balls. I guess it doesnt help I have majority right footed players lol
Dont copy tactic..it is wrong way your have your team and it uniqe..
