Yes that van appears to be 1977 North American model. I did some research and found there are other similar vans older and newer but not the nice rounded but also square van with two handle door options with the nice swinging door. Models were known as “Westfalia/Kombi T2 or Type 2.” Sometimes also known as a Camper (UK), Bus (US), or Adventurerwagon/Transporter or even Bulli (Germany). Some well kept rare ones can sell as high as $30-40k! VW Type 2 was originally under the plans of company Westfalia-Werke of Rheda-Wiedenbrück, Germany. The Kombi ones were produced in Mexico.
