Just remembered Badbath posts on Friday! It's so good to watch your informative videos. Hope you are doing well with new off-trail challenges. What a year for such a strong woman!
I can say with pride I ONLY say WOW like you now! It brings me so much joy!!!!! My husband also throws one in every now and then!!!!!! LOVE LOVE LOVE your journey!!!
You are incredible girl! Never cease to make me laugh! Your choices are good.....I may have picked one or two different but they are your picks. Good job!
For me, I thought Roan Mt was tough and it was also at the end of the day so it felt worse. I agree 3Ridges was challenging and I had good weather. Mt Madison definetly tough descending 1. because of the boulders and 2. it went on and on with like 3 different levels going down. In NY, Blue Mt. after crossing a bridge, the trail was fairly easy until I got to a rock wall that went straight up. I remember hanging on and for the 1st time I said to myself "I don''t want to do this." I was able to continue on. In those tough times, I always remember that Grandma Gatewood did it. Although, the trail has changed since she did it. Mt Webster in NH I thought was surprisingly tough and hadn't heard anyone mention it. Mt Katahdin is the most difficult mainly because of the rock scramble. By the end of my hike, I felt like Mt Katahdin was the final exam where you use all the skills that you had learned along the way,. Thank you for all your hard work while hiking and recording your videos. Great job!
Back in the day I hiked extensively in the Whites and Wildcat is the only hike that I never wanted to repeat. I’ve climbed Madison numerous times and have hiked both ways on Osgood ridge and while tedious it was just plodding. In the Whites you get used to the endless rocks. I’m only a little surprised that you didn’t include Kahtadin.
I thought the Mahoosuc Arm was the hardest climb on the AT. But I can see how shorter people would struggle with the Notch. But tackling the Mahoosucs back to back amplified the challenge and definitely brutal.
Always funny to think that the AT is a hike through the woods and that only if your definition includes elevation gains & descents of 3000 to 4000 feet & an occasional rock & bolder scramble then yah it is a walk in the woods. Please keep posting ; suggestion best on trail meals. 😊
The Madison descent is surely tough - and long. There are a number of 'false summits' - some say as many as 14. The Wildcat Ridge Trail? Spot on. They're called the 'Wildcats' because, viewed from Pinkham Notch Visitor Center, the ridge line resembles the silhouette(side view)of a crouching wildcat. The nose is to the right and the rest of the 'animal' goes left from there, back to the rump. I wouldn't count out Webster Cliff, either - another toughie. 🥾
I just came home from a hike from Springer to Winding Stair Gap. The video of your climb up Albert Mt is different than what we just did. I did not see the ladder... It's funny, my friend and I were both wondering why people posted in Farout how hard the climb was and now I'm wondering if they changed it? We had mostly big log steps and a tiny bit of rocks. (note for those about to mention this, we did not take the bad weather trail... we also did hike that to our car one day, so we know the difference)
Hitting them in reverse though can be an entirely different experience, Three Ridges wasn't a very big deal for me even kind of cruisy (long while ago) while the 3000+ climb on the Priest going the other way from the Tye river was the big challenge for the day. Just kind of amusing when everyone else's, ie mostly NOBOs, recollection is completely different than yours.
Sometimes you have to roll the dice and deal with what the trail throws your way. And yes, people sure do get injured along the way, but it's always a good idea to have a 'buddy' along.
Always a nice surprise to see your videos. Keep ‘em coming. Stay sweet.😊❤

Wow! 🎉❤
Are you considering doing the CDT or PCT someday? Oh hell we would all be happy to be along on a stroll like you just did in the park, lol.

Can we get a personal update on you? ❤

3 ridges was definitely the toughest area south of halfway. I pulled 27 miles through there, got to my camp and puked all over the place lolol

Always a pleasant surprise to see your cute face. Hope you are doing well
How are you doing badbat?
Did you color your hair? Just a rando question out of curiosity. 🤷🏼♀️
One of those trails would kick this girls butt. ⬆️⬆️⬆️⬆️
ETA the Arrows pointing to myself. 😂😂
Wewwww!!!
Do people hurt themselves on these? What if you are by yourself do you try to find someone to go with you during the climb and decent?
Sometimes you have to roll the dice and deal with what the trail throws your way. And yes, people sure do get injured along the way, but it's always a good idea to have a 'buddy' along.
@@jeannenimmo5 I love that! I think I either don’t make any rolls and roll every single last one. I need a happy medium.
Yay! I’m the first one to “Like” and comment 😊🎉
Well, I’m the second ❤
