    I appreciate the kind words regarding Green Mountain House Hostel. I know many 2024 hikers watch your channel and we look forward to hosting many of them next year…thanks to your recommendations.

    You've been inspiring to me. I'm 55, last year I could not hike a mile. Now I'm hiking Texas State Parks. Inclines and rock scramble preferably. I'de rather be in the woods than anywhere. My favorite hiker vlogs are the push I needed. Maybe some foot care suggestions next time. Hiking socks, swelling and blister prevention info would be appreciated. Thanks.

    Good video! Glad you mentioned Above the Clouds Hostel. They were my lifesavers for my solo LASH hike of the AT in Georgia. I wouldn’t have made it without their above and beyond support. I am 66 and owe my success to Lucky, Achilles and shuttle driver, Michelle! Great hostel!

    I would be interested in knowing how trail angels “find” hikers. Is it just a matter of knowing at what point the trail exits a parking lot. Are some locations more popular? Does Fresh Ground keep in touch with hikers via text?

    • @Nope-wd4rw
      @Nope-wd4rw ปีที่แล้ว

      Basically by communication and being a part of the thru hiking community.

      I get the impression he keeps up with certain hikers, a couple seem to have "run in" to him 3-4 times, but sure, a lot of hiker conversations back and forth, hikers keeping in touch too. Obviously in some places there are only a few road crossings so those would be pretty obvious places.

    We stayed at each of the first four you mentioned and agree that they are exceptional but didn’t know about the Human Nature one… it looks awesome! We stayed with the Jens at the Main Road House (I think it’s called that). Chief who is up at the Green Mountain Hostel is at Above the Clouds in Suches early in the season.
