My god, the shower system is ingenious. I was set on something like Project Amber's build but that makes really awesome use of some wasted walkway space, plus looks cool, plus can recirculate the grayish filtered water. I never though the shower would be a centerpiece of a build but he managed it.
Lots of other awesome stuff done well too but damn, that was the mind blower.
The level of detail and craftsmanship that went into this build is absolutely amazing. All of the electrical, water, and power systems are beautifully built and housed. The bathroom with its shower and toilet are exceptionally well made but the star of this RV is the hidden bed system which houses a fold down queen size bed. I was totally blown away by it. Every square inch of space inside this ambulance was utilized perfectly and everything looks so damn nice. This is a real work of art. Any RV enthusiast would be super proud to own something like this. This guy went above and beyond on this build, well done!

43:53 - Why build a shelf if you can’t use it for everyday? That’s probably the one thing on this van build that threw me off. Somehow you need to go back and figure out a way to make that shelf lower with gravity to act as part of the feet of the bed, so that it could keep all the UNGLUED contents INTACT, instead of staying stuck to the wall and dropping an iPhone, keys, or anything somebody laid on there. Js.

Im only 18min into this video and this guy has done 3 things I would wanna do that I have not seen no one else do. This guy is really smart. The upright tall water tank,re-usable shower water with filters & much more best build I've seen so far.

I used to run fire rescue and after buying my first RV I realized that an ambulance would make the perfect RV. So much storage everywhere. What a wonderful job you did on it. Much better than I could have even imagined.

This is so beautiful and efficient. This would be my dream build. The only thing I would add to it would be able to turn couch mode into a single bed using the pillow cushions, just to have a quick setup without having to winch the queen bed down, and still have access to the kitchen. Best I've seen yet on a box truck!!! Great job guys!!

My husband and I are about to do a van conversion and we both agreed we are going to do a similar shower build to this. We love the walls and the lighting. There are some design aspects I’m struggling a little to figure out but each video we watch has helped here and there. My dad just offered to sell us the old town ambulance but neither of us can stand upright in an ambulance.

I haven't seem anything that compares to this. It has everything. I am flabbergasted by the workmanship, creativity, organization, logic, decor, the details---everything was intelligently thought through. Love love love the water refiltration. You resolved so many issues. I could live in this and be perfectly happy.

It would be cool you could hide the condenser . The best thing is you made it so clean and uncluttered. I like the fake shiplap. I like the fake marble in the shower. The recycled shower water just impressed me like I can't even tell you. I never saw magnet locks like that before. The only thing id do different is ask your friend to cool it on the corny jokes. For real you did so much in a short time

Of all the RV's Ambulance DIY's I've seen, this is the best build on TH-cam becauce of the water system, elc, system, bed, painting and how you us use space in the Ambulance.
I'm absolutely floored by this build. The attention to detail and space saving ideas are priceless. Just wow! You should be proud.
Great build. Love the way you showed all the progress from demo to rebuild, including all the intimidating stuff like the internal wire setup. My vote is for the recycling shower as the best addition to the rig. I look at these as Miniature Expedition Vehicles. They make an excellent option for those of us who can't afford the $500.000 rigs. Your build just made me want to own one more then ever. Thank you for giving us the chance to follow along and learn some really great techniques and ideas. I am looking forward to seeing any future builds you and William decide to publish. Great work!

The absolute best build from an ambulance that I have ever seen. I hope one would never run out of toilet bags though and I would need a small oven but this would work. I love the hydronic bed just an incredible use of space and solar combination. Wow!

I love the simplicity of his ambulance. Everything has a space and every space has usage. It's not over the top but it's just enough to give you everything that you need.

WOW. I've watched HUNDREDS of conversions...& I mean hundreds...I've searched for innovative builds & designs as deep as a few different search engines would take me & I've never seen such tasteful talent in a build as I just seen watching this video. You didn't just exceed expectations on the things expected but you exceeded on the forgotten details that can make a tiny space easier to be in. That toilet solves the debate for me between the several well known brands out there! Not only did you execute everything with such talent but with so much class & style. GREAT JOB isn't saying enough for sure. I can't wait to see your next invention & hopefully we can follow the miles of this one when you turn over the keys.

Holy AMAZING! When I buy my Campulance, this guy has to build mine. This guy has talent! All I can say is this is something I never thought of to do with these retired medical wonders. I was a firefighter for 30 years, drove the ambulances as well. Never gave it a thought. Always focused on trailers, campers and mother homes. Since my wife passed recently and I'm retired, I'm going to Boondock until whenever I can't anymore. Want to meet new folks,see things never seen, have a great cup of coffee, best hamburger and so on. This is cool.

Very nice touch Bruce. I'll be installing Iron Ridge XR1000 aluminum railings full length on my 37' RV when I get ready to install the solar panels and solar tracker post, and have been kicking ideas about how to redirect the rain water off the roof. Basically, it's a large roof rack to support the solar panels.
You've given me some good ideas.
Been watching this build from the beginning. Totally know the feeling of wanting to switch to a Kodiak duramax rig and 4x4. Mine is an f350 style that I got a decent deal on. One day I'll either get back to building it out more or selling it for a Kodiak. Amazing work and many great ideas from this build.

This has to be the master plan and design for all Van/Boxvan campers. 10/10 will try to replicate this
Boy am I impressed. I only found one thing that I thought you needed-a clock on the white subway tile. Other than that, it’s just so beautiful and neat. Everything has a home, and everything was mounted so wonderfully. The solar system is a great example of neatness. I have never seen one so organized. The water system was terrific. The magnetic door was a great safety feature. On the next one, if you are a prepper, you could make the vehicle more TEOTWAWKI. More security, more water and food storage. More like Mad Max, but not. It would be a great vehicle to live in in a grid down situation, so maybe put EMP protection on the vehicle, the electronics array etc. That would make one great bug out vehicle, and I am sure people would pay handsomely for that . So, yes, I loved it. The toilet was the first of that kind I had ever seen and we’ve been camping for 40 years. Great job. I loved watching. I see a new business in your future……😀

i love this kind of built, i have watched many ambulance camper here in youtube but this built is so spaceous you can move freely because the space is wide and i love how he plan to put that bed, it saves a lot of space. so refreshing to my eye this interior. thanks for sharing

I can see why the demand is high. A very nice build. And the murphy bed is great way to get multiple usage of that area. Sit in comfort, have great walkways and sleep in comfort. The overall color choice and layout was also very nice. The extra width of the box vs a standard van really gives it a roomy feel to it. Great work, I am sure the van will bring you much joy and great memories.
Imho that winch was not the best choice. Each night and morning he has to push the button and listen to the noise from the winch. Also I would machine retractable legs for the bed, just to make it more convenient. Murphy beds works fine with a pair of shocks or even just springs. Quick and easy to open and close by hand, and less that can go wrong.

Take it from an electrical engineer gents. Voltage isn't the issue. 12v or 12000v is the same risk to you if the current is the same. Anything over about 250mA is a risk to your health. Use a voltmeter, measure the amperage to the logs. Write that number on the backing wood at each exposed lug. Anything over about 250mA is a no touch zone.

Hahaha I said the same thing when he bought it. 90% of the “ambulance” is gone at this point. However, we now say things optimistically like “ I wonder how may lives were saved in here” or how many babies were born in here.

William, that is the BEST Ambulance to RV conversion I have ever seen. It's the way I would have done it if I knew how! I have a Murphy Bed in my office and think it's one of the best space-saving mechanisms. You should definitely turn that passion into a business......have you seen some of the other conversions out there? You've built the Rolls Royce of A-to-RV conversions!

The Murphy bed is a great idea for this type of vehicle. Your toilet is also a great purchase. Most often van lifers will use a compost toilet. This, however, seems even easier as you don't even have to dump out any bucket and you can just throw the bag in the garbage.
This is by far the best build I have ever seen and I have seen hundreds your attention to detail your attention to detail your eye for beauty it's just fantastic you're a genius. I need you to build mine.
