I appreciate your build and had a good laugh throughout with the humorous commentary from both of you. Licking the spoon in response to those criticizing your placement of the utensil drawer was the icing on the cake!
I hope you evolve to a sailboat, crossing oceans, presently we are in Curacao, having sailed from Brazil. You guys have the spirit for this life and can do it.
People who gripe about your silverware being on top of the cat closet never had cats! When you have cats you don’t have a place to live. You are in their house and they don’t give a damn where the silverware is! Love your rig! I wanted to do an ambulance myself but realistically I know nothing about electronics and didn’t have the desire to fry myself when trying to mess with it. As far as the batteries go, if you tune into “Our Way to Roam” you’ll see them making their own batteries also. Great job. Love what you did with it, even if you are Marine! We’re Army! ‘Nuff said!!
Well said! Even with our knowledge and experience I still felt fried many times 😆. So glad we made it to the other side, but I totally understand not wanting to put yourself through the… experience of converting an ambulance. At times it was like cruel and unusual punishment. 😂
Personalized van/bus type builds are WAY better than anything the RV business puts out. You made out better with your ambulance build than the 5th wheel camper.
I love it. My husband and I are planning on doing this and we are 25 years older but we have always wanted to do this and now we are going to finally do it!! Love your conversion!
Haha, iv'e not come across anyone reffering themselves as "high class hobbos" before. I loved your home, and your wit and sarcasm were brilliant. Most Amercians do not understand sarcasm or so we English tend to believe. Where as us, Brits are masters of it. So it was really good seeing you were not the stereo type. Brilliant video.
Your description of the brakes in the mountains is something ive never heard mentioned before. Having had those problems in the Rockies it makes an ambulance even more interesting
Mooch Docking. I love that. We have a converted ambulance also, but if we were to it again that is the vehicle we would like to start with. "My body is almost twice my age" cracked me up!
Really smart to attach the Starlink. I watched another gal who had to leave a camp site in a hurry due to shots fired, & hers was set out away from her RV for best reception. She had to wait until the cops showed up to retrieve them. I also love that you kept a door between the cab & the back. If things get weird & you need to leave fast, you can just go. Thanks for sharing. I learn something new every time I watch one of these.
This is Wheel Estate!!! At it's finest!! This is one of the best builds. You have some room unlike most Van's and you guys thought of everything. I've watched tons of builds and channels in general and this is definitely one of the best.
Wheel estate.. i love it! Thanks so much, after living in it so long we've come up with tons of ways to improve it once we have some extended down time, so maybe one day down the road we'll film an update tour.
Great build. I saw alot of criticism in the comments. Take it all with a grain of salt. Thank you for your service!! I still roll all of my clothes too...Navy.
Thoroughly enjoyed the walk around/through. Your intelligent yet sometimes comical communication skills kept me locked into watching the whole video from start to finish. Thank you sir, for your service to our country. Thank you both, also, for sharing this part of your lives with others so that we may dream, be inspired and enjoy your way of life vicariously. Great video, great build.
Great team. Just bought my "ambulance/Red Cross Disaster Relief" E450 a couple of weeks ago...Best decision I've made in a long time! Looking forward to continue the fabrication and conversion process. Enjoy your travels
I don't know y'all. I had never even seen one of your videos till now, and I feel like I could travel across country with y'all anytime. And that's NOT like me! I love what y'all did with your rig and the hobo ballin life on the road. Thank you for being such light-hearted, fun and funny people. It's a bit of a weird concept watching people I've never met traveling and living out of a retired ambulance, but y'all got me hooked. Thanks for sharing your adventures!
I'm glad you enjoyed it. It's kind of a weird concept too for us to record our lives and share it with the world. Still not used to it after 5 years, but the nice folks that we interact with and even inspire make it all worth it!
First, thank you for your service, sir. The fact you showed you home as "lived-in" is a plus for all those who want to do something like this. Looking at the use of scrap materials to save money is what people do in order to have reserve cash to have fun. I have a huge scrap wood cart full of pieces of wood waiting for me to use. Great video and great conversion of an ambulance. Having worked in the back of box and van ambulances for most of my career and being 6'3" I can appreciate every little bit of height you can get.
Love the unit, you guys did a great job. Like you said, many other units are more pretty but that's not what real life is all about. I was not in the military but loaded up with many major surgeries with screws, plates, couplings, etc, literally, head to toe. This caused me to go on disability. I picked up an older van for small maintenance jobs and in the near future to take some vacations. Make the best of what you have and have fun doing so. Great video
I realdig your conversion! I placed my AC in an exterior compartment also. I added a 12v radiator fan to the exhaust vent. It a increased the efficiency ten fold. Great video also!
Excellent video presentation guys. Beautiful build; intelligent, economical and great craftsmanship. We loved your honesty about any free stuff and we just subscribed. Carry-on Hobos.
Hello from phoenix, Arizona. I just wanted to say a great video. Thanks for sharing your ride with us. Congratulations on doing your own battery. That’s very cool. I laughed when you said to make sense of all this who ha. One last thing I trust you have a personal locator beacon. You never know you just cannot depend on cell phones. This is an area I’ve done a lot of research him. And I don’t mean a satellite communicator I mean a true personal locator beacon that has full power of 5 Watts. This can make a difference if you need to get out a signal from deep in a canyon or you’re under a snow covered tree canopy plus there’s no monthly fee. I use the brand a CR. Stay safe
1st time viewer but now a subscriber as well. That was as thorough a walk through tour as I've seen in years with the straight forwardness being unique and refreshing. The "let's be honest there was probably blood in those cabinets at some point" had me sitting here sayin' hell yeah! You knew what you needed to make yourselves happy and that is all that matters. excellent use of space and prebuilt spaces that probably saved you a lot of time. Great job, wonderful build and now to watch some more vids from this channel. Stay safe!
Impressive rig! Impressive build features too. And you did a good job on the presentation as a couple. Both added something to the video, which is good. Safe travels! Happy Trails!
You have my subscription. Totally dig the sarcasm and humor. I am more than willing to help you with your cooking. I have a 128 count box of crayons and that should last you a week or more if you're hungry. Retired Air Force here.
Were people that petty when commenting about silverware placement? Well, I think you guys did a bad ass job. I admire the fact you two are living free. Great video.
Right because your ego is so fragile, you hate when other people have nice things. I created a stupid basic build but never have I had a problem with people who create elaborate builds. It's their HOME! And anyone who doesn't want someone to live nice is a trash human being.
My favorite tour guides! As a retired Respiratory Therapist, I've spent 30 years having to ride backwards in ambulances bagging patients to larger facilities with all kinds of blood, guts, and gore, especially puke, in these rigs! A little litter dust is nothing! Plus, I have a cat rescue and I'm proud to say I never had to participate in bringing a dish to pass at night shift parties at the hospital! Cool couple, great, functional rig! Edit: I had so much with thus, I subbed, liked, and hit the bell! Was I a good girl? Lol!
Appreciate the transparency. You both seem not to take things too seriously or let life stress you out. You have each other, your cats, and the basic necessities. Life looks good.👍🏽😍
Hey, I left most of the original cupboards in my ambo too. I also left the blue vinyl, same shad as yours was, LOL. You have given me some great ideas for mine. Thanks
Congrats on the great rig….and such a great deal. You give hope to many who may not have a lot to spend, but still seek the joys of a mobile lifestyle. Blessings to you both and many safe travels.
This was a very KooL build! Great Job! You efficiently listed all stuff in your build but the one item I was interested in was brand name of that purple seat cushion your mother-in-law got you (hehehe)! Thanx & Enjoy your road trips! Have Fun too!
You two are very cool! I always wanted to do something like what you two are doing there. I wound up raising my two sons who are grown now so I kept o the traditional go in debt for life living until the kids moved out. I think you two are a cute couple, if I may say the word cute. I’ll join your group and shall follow you on TH-cam. Thank you for sharing your lives with us strangers. I appreciate that as I’m severely dissuade in wheelchair and oxygen 24/7 so I don’t get out much anymore but I used to take my kids camping under a tarp tied to our station wagon years ago and miss that sitting around the fire. For now, I’ll watch you do that:)
The way he is talking and sharing about things in their build ,get my attention, now I'm hooked, keep up the good Vids . From Kenosha Wisconsin I sub and thumbs up.
I love what you guys did. Making your own batteries was genius. You guys repurposed a lot of things and that is great. Looking forward to more videos. BTW, thank you for your service.
Love it, thank you for letting in and showing your build... Just started putting together a leftover work truck for a build... off-road living! Truly Thank you
You two are absolutely hilarious I love your ambulance I love the way it looks inside I love the way that you do that you represent your rig you guys are fantastic and I'm going to be looking for you guys all the time
Love the dynamics between you two. Only things that you forgot is to give credit to the only company that decided to support you in the build. Enjoy life to the fullest!
Really impressed by this video's thoroughness and organization with very complete list of links for build items and time stamps, plus chapters with thumbnails. Also both of your descriptions during the tour of the ambulance conversion. I had considered looking for an ambulance to buy to convert, as I love the solid base that ambulances provide and all of the lockable outside storage compartments. But I recently decided to put a brand new engine (upgraded from a Chevy 350cu.in. or 5.7L V8 to a stroked 383cu.in. displacement) with an RV camshaft for increased torque and towing ability, in my 1997 GMC half ton, 4x4, pickup truck. So, I think I'm going to work with what I have, and build my own camping trailer to tow behind my truck and see all of the USA and Canada. I've subscribed to your channel, and maybe we will run into each other at some camping spot in the future.
Unbelievable build out!!!!!!!!.....the both of you seem like outstanding great people!!!!!!!!.....and sir you are not only super smart!!!!!!......but funny as hell!!!!!!!!!..... outstanding sense of humor!!!!!!
Great video I have a solar powered truck camper on a old Ford diesel truck. Before the truck I had two big buses for twenty nine years National forests have spoiled me with free camping.
I appreciate your build and had a good laugh throughout with the humorous commentary from both of you. Licking the spoon in response to those criticizing your placement of the utensil drawer was the icing on the cake!
Thanks! We wanted it to be authentic as well as entertaining. We’re glad you enjoyed it.
That part was nasty. I liked the video until she did that.
I love the “my body is almost twice my age” I feel that. Mainly due to working on an actual ambulance.
I hope you evolve to a sailboat, crossing oceans, presently we are in Curacao, having sailed from Brazil. You guys have the spirit for this life and can do it.
What a gorgeous couple, talented and with a healthy sense of humour. The cats are adorable too.
People who gripe about your silverware being on top of the cat closet never had cats! When you have cats you don’t have a place to live. You are in their house and they don’t give a damn where the silverware is! Love your rig! Being a retired paramedic..there was everything in that medic unit before you got it...😅 but they do clean up nice. Best thing they are built solid😊
I love it. My husband and I are planning on doing this and we are 25 years older but we have always wanted to do this and now we are going to finally do it!! Love your conversion!
Great! It's never too late, so it's awesome that your time to get out and explore is finally coming
I enjoy the dry wit and sarcasm, too.
I like him. You can tell he has a good sense of humor.
If u could live on water..this is very simple for u all...i love the former medic unit build! Great use of space for u both
Most real video, I've seen about small space living.
Really smart to attach the Starlink. I watched another gal who had to leave a camp site in a hurry due to shots fired, & hers was set out away from her RV for best reception. Agreed! Thanks 🍻

What a build! Great job. Had me rolling…. “Friggin TH-camrs recording everything for strangers…”. Priceless! Great to see you two again.
Great team. Just bought my "ambulance/Red Cross Disaster Relief" E450 a couple of weeks ago...Best decision I've made in a long time! Looking forward to continue the fabrication and conversion process. Enjoy your travels

Good to see fine people snag an awesome deal on the $3k purchase.
that thing cost them more than that after they bought it
Laughing so hard at these guys. Love them!
You guys are adorable you really made a great home that has everything! Njoy!

brilliant people with a great future and a fabulous build. Good luck x
Love y'all spirit. A lot of labor but it's worth it you did it your way. Right on!
I realdig your conversion! I placed my AC in an exterior compartment also. I added a 12v radiator fan to the exhaust vent. It a increased the efficiency ten fold. Great video also!
Like your rig and love your down to earth humorous narrative. Nice couple!

Im a retired medic… practical minimalist… and love the humor and Nas Quote… love the build. Sub’d

Nice van! I’ve got a similar van! Ambulance conversion sort of, but was used as Police Command Center. Made you own batteries is so wild! Kudos!
Were people that petty when commenting about silverware placement? Well, I think you guys did a bad ass job. I admire the fact you two are living free. Great video.
I love it when folks don’t create mansions in these vehicles!
Bravo

This is the best build I've ever seen. I got a lot of ideas . Love the toilet ,bed, shower recirculating, and solar.
Both of you are great in the way you present and describe things. Kept me hooked through the whole video. You earned a subscriber. 👍

Heck yea, why not? The things are practically already set up to go camping.

I love your jokes. Love a little sarcasm like you said just the way it used to be and your rig! Thanks for sharing and a great inspiration!
For sure! Thanks for watching.
Thank you for being down to earth. No fakery. I enjoyed this. Sure, a few times I blushed, but that’s keepin’ it real as well, ja?
Great job building forget the Haters just do you-all definitely envious😊
Thanks 👍
Nice rig! Thanks for the tour 🫶🏻
Now that's a rig I'd feel right at home in. Perfect, including the utensil drawer.😊
Kudos to you and I absolutely LOVE this vehicle as I wish there were more of these for sale!!! Great JOB!!! :)-
Great job guys! Pretty sweet rig overall - especially considering the cost!
Thanks! 👍
Thank you for your service and I love your home.
I love what you guys did. Making your own batteries was genius. You guys repurposed a lot of things and that is great. Looking forward to more videos.
BTW, thank you for your service.
Great video guys. I really appreciate how real you are
Semper Fidelis, brother. Looking forward to sharing your build with our participants as a very cool example.
Please do... that's awesome!
Solid build. Thanks for sharing I’m currently building out my 02 E450 ambo You’ve given a few new ideas.
You two did a incredible job. Looks awesome 👌
You are the best! thank you for the laughs!
Thanks! Anytime! 🍻
Great rig. Semper Fi.
You two are brilliant, talented and humorous. Thanks for the show and teach. Semper Fi.
Love it, thank you for letting in and showing your build...
Just started putting together a leftover work truck for a build... off-road living!
Truly Thank you
Licked the spoon and threw it back in the drawer. I loved that! 'Course I'm a Jarhead too so eatin' crayons wouldn't bother me either.
The crayons were the safest part of the job.
Great build & hikarious tour… thoroughly enjoyed. 🥾🏔🇨🇦❤️
Love your home and thanks for your service
I love it. And, your table ware is safe...people can be so funny.
Thanks for the awesome video.
I like the presentation and the cats are fiesty!! Very inspiring!!
Yes they are! We're glad you enjoyed it.
Your vehicle build is really nice. Down to earth.
You two are absolutely hilarious I love your ambulance I love the way it looks inside I love the way that you do that you represent your rig you guys are fantastic and I'm going to be looking for you guys all the time
Love the editing, love the narration, and love the blood, sweat, and tears in your dream. Subbed :)
Enjoyed your build and your cats ❤️
Your cats are adorable!❤
this is the most entertaining tour i ever watched. good vibes and fun low key jokes.
Love the dynamics between you two. Only things that you forgot is to give credit to the only company that decided to support you in the build. Enjoy life to the fullest!
Super easy to watch. Dudes funny AF. 😅
What a great deal on it . The possibilities are endless! 😊 the inside is neat ! Plenty of room just right !
You both are the coolest jolly van lifers out there. ✌🏻
Love the rig and the two of you are just darling! Those cats are so cute too!! Best of luck in all your future adventures!!!
Love the build kids, especially that you've got your cats with you.😻😸
Really impressed by this video's thoroughness and organization with very complete list of links for build items and time stamps, plus chapters with thumbnails.
Awesome - liked. Thanks for posting 👍
Great build conversion 👍How's the MPG and distance per tank (size)?
Your refrigerator is a perfect size. 👍
Loved your build and this video!
Glad you enjoyed it!
Cool wagon. Have you given any thought to maybe lifting it a couple of inches to give safe clearance when off road?
Unbelievable build out!!!!!!!!.....the both of you seem like outstanding great people!!!!!!!!.....and sir you are not only super smart!!!!!!......but funny as hell!!!!!!!!!..... outstanding sense of humor!!!!!!
Great video
I have a solar powered truck camper on a old Ford diesel truck.
Before the truck I had two big buses for twenty nine years
National forests have spoiled me with free camping.
Such a good build! Love that.
Thank you 🍻
