They're not, unfortunately. You probably found some old videos. My newest video is about making Camp coffee, cowboy style. But thanks for noticing. Have a great day Harry.
@@adventuresincampingwithcar8622After I sent the message I noticed it was an old video. I have also watched the one on cowboy coffee. It was very well done and educational.
Hey Carl! We spoke last weekend over the radio. You were telling me about your Rokon. I've never seen one before. Very cool. Bet it makes a great 2 wheel tractor. BTW - the motorcycle trail I mentioned is called the Mid Atlantic Back Country Discovery Route (MABDR). Best regards/73s ... N4MMX
Actually they are also called the moto tractor. There are all kinds of attachments that can be bought through Rokon. Or just be retrofitted for the bike. They ate very versatile.
Charles City Dirt Riders. They are located right at the foot of the James Harrison Bridge off Route 106. Various classes offered as well as bike rentals and track/ trail access for previous students. I took their 2 day Basic Dirt Bike course to build some better off-road skills. Not cheap, but excellent instruction. This time of year has a lot fewer people per class, especially on the 2nd day, where I managed to get one on one time. I'm sure that will change as we get into warmer weather.
It's still a work in progress. I keep finding issues. But considering it went 20 years without being used because the engine was blown, it's done pretty good. A friend came over tonight and it decided to cooperate. We road both of my Rokons on my trails and had a great time. It encouraged me about it. They are awesome bikes. It was funny, by friend said the Rokon is such a Carl thing, It suits me. I thought it was funny and appropriate. They are awesome.
Thanks to you I found those Ammo cans. They are 40mm And BIG!! I want to put one on each side of my HondaKon! Honda 90 engine and Trans. With the Rokon gears = 24gears! Will Climb a tree if it can get traction!
@@joebuford5212 I'm 57 and feel like I'm at least 47 now. Keto has changed my life. I guess you watched the Interview. That's why I do these videos, to be a positive influence. I'm glad for you. I agree with Dr. Ken D Berry on most points except his opinion on monk-fruit. I have seen it raise blood sugar levels on some folks. Everybody is different.
If you look around, you might find a good used one. 96 and earlier will be 2cycle. 97 was the change over year between 2cycle and 4cycle. The 2cycle can be ran upside down without damaging it. You can't do that with a 4 cycle.
I bought mine from US Motor Power, I found them online. They sell what was the PowerBee that the old bike used. But I'll warn you, it was a mess. It took several months to get and the when I got it, the flywheel was for a different engine. It took a year to get them to take it back and get it straight. Buyer beware.
@@adventuresincampingwithcar8622 Thanks for the info, but it seems that us motor power is out of business and their website is down. I really hope that Rokon or some other small engine business takes up the torch on these 2 stroke engines. Rokons are amazing machines! I have 3.. 2 - 68's & a 74 automatic all originals. The motors are tired so the search continues.
I'm really sorry to hear that, but I'm not surprised. Considering the trouble I had. I have seen some Rokons retrofitted with a honda, or a knock off Chinese engine. But I think the frame has to be extended to fit the engine in. I looked it up. Some guys were using a Honda GX200. But I think they had to extend the lower part of the frame to accommodate it. You might posting that question on RokonWorld@Facebook.com I'm sure someone will have an answer.
@@adventuresincampingwithcar8622 Thanks for the info... I've been doing a ton of reading at all the sites. I'm really hoping to stay with a 2 stroke and even gave the electric version some thought, there are several on TH-cam.
That's not the battery box unfortunately. I have located that under the seat. That is basically an accessory box. Once I've installed the box and battery I'll have to do a test on the battery life.
@@craigcook1571 Yes it does. But this bike originally didn't come with a battery. It's a pull start. The light ring runs everything as long as it's running, but that doesn't help when it's shut off. I've added a battery that's wired into the system. it will give consistent light for the headlight and allow me to charge devices or operate small 12 volt equipment, like a 2 way radio.
I glad you have both Rokons running now.

I looked that trail up and added it to my favorite saves on my phone. Thanks.
What was the name and location of that track you were going to ride locally? Was that in Charles city?

Nice job on reviving the ROKON. I’m hoping to get one next year. Take care.

Where did you get your new rokon gas tank
I baught it directly from Rokon. It was around $250 - $300. I don't remember exactly. But they got it to me very quickly.
