I went to Eataly and one half of a sandwich was 12.90 (Century City) so, a whole sandwich for around the same price is a much better value. I have to grab some friends and head there. I never heard of this place! Thanks for turning me on to it!

As a fellow Airline employee, Flight attendant with Continental Airlines I was very touched by Bill’s words about McDonnell Douglas. Back in the 1970s we flew the DC-10 and it was an amazing plane to fly! Thank you for those heartfelt words and memories of an industry pre regulation, the good old days!

I was on the DC-9 line, but right next door is where the DC-10 (MD11) were built. The size of those planes blew me away every time I went over to look at them. One of my good friend's mom worked for Continental out of LAX back in the 80's. Good old days indeed!

This was such a heartwarming vid to watch. Its not surprising that Bill is so humble and grateful of the opportunities and lifestyle that the airplane industry has given he and his wonderful family. I feel the same for my career in healthcare. Despite its faults and criticism i am grateful every day for the comforts and lifestyle it has afforded me. Many blessings to you both for a happy holiday weekend ! Please do visit Canada soon. Toronto, Montreal or the maritimes. Food and cultural adventures for sure.

I obviously watch your videos for the food content, but what really got me today was how much the history of the hanger meant to Bill. The career path it started him in and how it helped him become who he is today both professionally and personally. It was really real to see him get choked up about it.

I was there about a month ago while visiting my brother and family - we had food from Kroft (poutine and cubano), poke and chicken - everyone really enjoyed their food. Bill I grew up in Hawthorne and my dad was in the airline industry for many years after emigrating from Argentina. Thanks to him I got to see the world growing up. My brother is also in the industry so it’s in our blood. I can appreciate your emotions as my family also benefits from this industry to this day. I grew up in Redondo Beach/Torrance back in the mid 60's and I am familiar with all of the various airline companies you mentioned. Did 3 trips til 26 years old. I was terrified. Finally got on a plane again at 46 (yes 20 years!!) STILL hate it and have done about 26 take offs & landings since 2016. McDonald' Douglas along with Boeing Aircraft brought job's into the community that allowed people to thrive in a community that we now see people struggling in. When you got nostalgic it also made me cry as well because our economy is struggling to the point where I believe is no recovery in sight. Watching this after Easter lunch, trying to get motivated/hungry for round 2 of the prime rib meat sweats. //😋I knew the pork sandwich would be bussin' just by the way it was wrapped. My father would actually walk to work since his house was next to long Beach city college.
