- We couldn't get reservations at Fallow 3 weeks ago, so we had to come back to London to give them a try. And, we're so glad we did! Also included is a room tour at The Dilly Hotel and a bit of Christmas shopping at the most expensive food store, Fortnum & Mason of London.

I have to say I love all of your trips but London is a special favorite of mine! The tea shop calendars were exquisite! I loved the music box advent calendar and the cool ornaments just beautiful! I was looking for the answer in the comments about the chocolate toad but I don’t see any. I looked on their website and it had orange and black decor around it so I think you’re right, Bill, that it’s a Halloween novelty. That musical advent calendar at Fortnum and Mason was really something! The corn ribs looked interesting…never saw anything like those.
Couple comments said Harry Potter. Either way, great chocolate detail on that frog. Corn ribs were interesting!

The chocolate toad was for Halloween. It is called the uncommon toad which is native only to England and that’s what it is modeled after.

The mushroom parfait is exactly as you thought, a similar and moose like, savoury version of pate. It looked absolutely delightful too by a way! ❤😊 thanks again and representing the UK 🇬🇧 as always, p.s great thing to advocate ex dairy cows. Really sustainable and a good shout out xxx

Lovely vlog. I’m from North London. Never heard of Fallows, but will definitely book it up after seeing your video! A really good couple of restaurants if you are in London again are; J Sheekey Fish restaurant about a 1 minute walk from Leicester Square tube station and an older worldly English restaurant called Rules near Covent Garden. You’ll need to book both. But one of the really good restaurants at the moment is called Blacklock in Soho. It’s a Choo House. Sunday dinners here are voted as the best in London but apparently it’s very popular so you’ll need to book way in advance. Hope it helps!

Fallow was great! The corn ribs were so fun to eat and tasty. I wanted to try the cod head but thought it might be a bit much for one. I know the tart is their ‘famous’ dessert, but the servers I asked all said to pick something else, which was their seasonal fruit dessert at the time.
Another reason to go back, try the tart! lol
I love F&M. One of my favorite Christmas treats is to order from them. I can only justify the expense once a year, but I have to get my rose and voilet creams fix! They do ship a lot of things to the US, just not perishable things of course. Chocolates, jams, biscuits, lots of other things though!
F&M does have a lot of cool and tasty treats!

You guys are living the dream! Can’t believe you’re back again, please come back and explore more of the UK too, I’d try out Padstow in Cornwall, known for having many seafood restaurants and Rick Stein’s restaurant (British chef). Or somewhere closer to London, you could go to Stratford upon Avon (birthplace of Shakespeare) and try the Sunday Roast at The Vintner.
Would like to try a Sunday Roast, but our weekend falls during the week... one day! Thanks for the recs.

For example: It's a dilly of a Deli means it's a heck of a Deli, exemplary, great.
I'm a 63 Yr old englishman and I've never ever heard that expression in my life

It's worth pointing out the only US electricals you can plug into UK (230V) sockets (even with an adaptor) are things like laptop PSUs (so long as they are rated to 230V). You'd fry hairdryers and stuff like that.
