      @@team2films TH-cam still doesn't offer enough advanced tutorials on "Fairlight" - How to proffesionaly process it. And there are also not enough basic up-to-date tutorials regarding 3D scenes, importing from Blender, 3D bank models and their simple use in practice. In your presentation, the tutorials are always professional, you have a quality presentation... I would appreciate more tutorials on Fusion. it doesn't have to be so advanced, rather explain the incomprehensible things that fusion does twice differently with the same use.. tracking in non perfect environment.. Its more about how do you guys think about some challenge or problematic shoot or "problem" in editing - your "thought processes".

    hopefully you can help, im trying to do a transition with something that is further away and circular. For example a coffee mug with coffee inside and im coming straight at the mug from a distance and want the transition video to show the whole time until im up close to the coffee to where i will transition into that video. For some reason the scale of the video after masking changes due to the distance and i want the video to stay the same size as the mug is but zooming in changes the size of the background video for some reason?

    Hi from Greece. Is there a workflow to do the same thing but on a rotating screen? for example I have a clip of a hand holding a phone and the clip starts showing the side of that phone, slowly turning to reveal the whole screen. Do I have to do the tracking frame by frame? Thanks and keep up.👍

    • @team2films
      @team2films  ปีที่แล้ว

      Heya, it's possible to do a combo of tracking and manual keyframing. Tracking will likely become difficult the more extreme the angle of the phone. Check out our latest Fusion Masterclass. Because we show some techniques for difficult planar tracks in there that might solve your problem.

    Couple of questions... Why when I change the contrast or the brightness I see the correction in made in a rectangular not aligned with thecorner pin? Actually I see in your video you correct only saturation and gain.. Second question: there is any way to have more soft border of the image in the corner pin? Sometimes the edges are so visible and make the result less realistic. Thanks

    • @team2films
      @team2films  ปีที่แล้ว

      Enable Multiply By Mask in the settings page of the Color Corrector node. That should fix your problem.
      Yes there are ways of softening the border. A simple way would be to put a soft edge on the image you are compositing onto the screen. There are many other ways too.
      Hope that gets you pointed in the right direction. Thanks for watching.

    How to do the same on irregular surface or let the Object be triangular

    • @team2films
      @team2films  11 หลายเดือนก่อน

      Irregular surfaces won't work with the planar tracker. Try the surface tracker instead. If you're working with a flat surface that is triangular, you'll want to mask the object you are applying to the surface.

      Sometimes you can track by including the edges of the screen. You might need to add a hold out for the reflections on the middle of the screen. Basically it's difficult but not impossible.
      There is going to be way more manual work. Maybe we'll make a tutorial on tracking a featureless screens in the future.

    Hi! I'm not working in color managed workflow. I use CST's for my SLOG3 footage (CST 1 = slog3 to DWG | CST 2 = DWG to rec709) when color grading.. but the moment I go to fusion page it goes back to log footage so whenever I place vfx stuff in it the colors exposure etc etc don't match up.. any help would be appreciated!

    • @team2films
      @team2films  ปีที่แล้ว

      Colour operations happen after the fusion page operations. The Fusion page does not show your colour page operations.
      This is one of the advantages of using color management. It is performed before the media goes to the fusion page. If you need your footage to be colour managed inside the fusion page, either switch to RCM, or move your CST node to within your fusion comp.
      Alternatively, watch our latest video (Fusion Masterclass). We show how to integrate colour page grades into your Fusion compositions.
      Finally, check out @DavinciMasterKey She has an excellent video all about colour management when working in Fusion.
      Hope that helps. Let us know.

      @@team2films I have prepared a video answer for you. Unfortunately, YT deleted my comment - maybe because I posted a link. I will post it again, but this time shortened with the domain name.

      @@team2films Doesn't work. Many other solutions on the Internet do not work either. Using the same resolution of this image as the main project didn't help either. Converting this material to H265 helped and it immediately started working properly - strange to me :(

    Yes but what if the screen is contoured?

    • @team2films
      @team2films  8 หลายเดือนก่อน

      Ah yes. Sorry that's a whole other level of complexity as it's no longer a plane that can be tracked with a planar tracker. That's now going to need to be a 3d solve.

    • @team2films
      @team2films  ปีที่แล้ว +1

      You can resize the image that you are compositing onto the screen with a transform node.

    Nothing ever happens when I use the planar tracker it just stays as the original and never puts another video over the tracked area

      Have you changed the operation mode from track to something else?

      In the example a video clip was used for the screen replacement. Sorry you are experiencing issues.

    I tired your guide but is not working
    The issue is that the Planar tracker doesn't show the video, and I tried to change the resolution, doesn't work, and I tried to reset even I reset the laptop and doesn't work

      Hello, I’m sorry you are having problems. It’s difficult to diagnose your issue without more information, but I’m sure there is a simple solution. Can I suggest rechecking the process and reporting back at which stage the issue first appears?

      Ah no! I'm so sorry. I'm sure there is a good reason. Do you have an input and output connected? It's difficult to diagnose your problem without further information. Please share what you can.

    It doesn't matter how many "Simple" screen replacement tutorials I watch, I can never figure out Fusion. There is always something that doesn't work. Node based vfx things are so frustrating and confusing to me. Many one day...
