First time i saw this i didnt realize that yen didnt use magic. Now i see that she spits alcohol. Its a cool detail.
Also when watching the series you realize there is nothing anyone can say to make him happy and let them go. Hes soul has burned and he enjoys it.

@@tutydyfruty1702 I don't have my book on me so I might not be 100% accurate. It is one of the first chapters in Blood of Elves. Basically Rience hired a group of thugs and they grabbed Jaskier outside a brothel and took him to a stable. They were about to torture him when Yennifer showed up and took out the thugs. Rience fled through a portal and Yennifer sent a fireball through the portal after Rience which scarred him. Basically the book depicted Yennifer as a more classic sort of heroine who just jumps into the fray against Rience who is more of a weak coward. The show made Rience more threatening by making fire magic something unique he could do and made Yennifer look more cunning in how she used his strength against him. Both versions work great.

Поздний ответ, но все было немного не так. Лютик был в борделе, выбирая между двумя восхитительными девушками, потому что не мог позволить себе обеих. В этот момент к нему в комнату зашел Риенс, и представился фанатом его творчества. Он начал распрашивать Лютика о том, что стало с Цири. Тот понял, что что-то неладно, и решил сбежать через скрытый проход в тоннель. Но в этом тоннеле важно было вовремя повернуть, чтобы не упасть в свинарник, куда должны были упасть преследователи. О Риенс бросил заклинание на Лютика, тот запнулся и упал в свинарник. Там Риенс подвесил его за руки, чтобы нагрузка приходилась на плечи, а к ногам привязал тяжелое ведро. Так что если бы Лютика сильно потянули вверх, то ему могли вывихнуть руки, которыми он зарабатывает на жизнь. Лютик как мог увиливал от распросов, поэтически описывал, говорил, что сам придумал, что Цири и Геральт встретились, а Риенс напирал, требовал фактов. Йеннифер пришла, и насколько я помню, не притворялась женой Лютика😂. Она жестко вырубила двух помощников Риенса, а когда сам Риенс попытался сбежать через портал, кинула ему вслед молнию. Риенс сбежал, но получил себе сильный ожог от этого заклинания. Йеннифер сказала, что Риенс был слишком слабым магом, чтобы сходу открыть такой портал, значит, на той стороне был маг намного сильнее, поэтому она не прыгнула в портал без разведки. Потом Лютик с Йеннифер душевно поговорили, она сказала, что считает его другом, и посоветовала убрать из репертуара песни про Цири. И, если я не ошибаюсь, передала привет от Дийкстры.

I am so sorry, but in my opinio this scean in book was far, far, far better and more dramatic. And in book it ends with a magic duel. Sorry, this just looks cheap. In book there were also 3 men, against yennefer not just one wizard.
