Geralt's "Uh yea we won't let that happen" is obviously great, but consider the fact that Jaskier literally just saw a friend on the side of the road, stopped to chat, and nearly died because of a genie. A hectic life to be sure
@@miavelie2627 Jaskier called it a genie, so out of respect for the nearly dearly departed, I followed suit. "Died because of a djinn" is also a bit too close to a song lyric for my liking
To be fair that’s the world they live in. There’s tons of northern kings and lords, the land is pretty dangerous to travel because of fighting between lords or humans fighting elves. Then there’s the monsters to worry about which are admittedly slowly dying off but can still just randomly kill you. Everyone’s lives are hectic lol.
My favourite thing about all this is if you see Joey Batey's physique he's built similarly to Henry Cavill, yet the show does a great job of making him look fairly small and vulnerable with the clothing.
I think they have a love/hate relationship. She did risk her life and missed her boat to save him, so he'd be a huge jerk if he wanted to see any harm come to her.
One of my favorite scenes in season two is in this! It's when yennefer rescues jaskier from the fire dude... and pretends to be drunk. That scene made me laugh so hard
1:48 Geralt grabbing Jaskiers arm to help him balance never fails to make me smile 😭 Geralt may act like he doesn't care but Jaskier is probably the closest person he has to a normal human friend. Geralt can't deny that despite Jaskier being an annoying twit, he stills loves him all the same
I love when actors who are supposed to be playing injured characters, actually make it believable that they're scared. It's a lot harder to do than you would think. When Jaskier hears the elf healer say that he may die, and Jaskier reacts to that, you can see and hear panic and fear in his eyes and voice. That's not easy to do. Showing strong emotions outside of maybe joy is difficult to fake. Even when acting.
I’m reading the books and I kinda prefer book Gerald’s reaction. He’s genuinely afraid for his friend. Almost threatens violence to get him help and carried him a full day in his arms to get him help. Meanwhile show geralt is like “meh he doesn’t he does”
Oh my gods, real. The acting absolutely carried in the show, but I completely loved their relationship a bit more in the books, honestly. Geralt has the thing that makes it difficult to express emotions, but he isn't a complete stoic, y'know?
Amazing how when they were on the run after Rience, Jaskier's finger wasn't even blistered from being burnt by Rience when he held up his hands at various times and he didn't even wince when placing his Jaskier hands on his Jaskier hips as Jaskier is wont to do. Actually, aside from a little bit of facial blood he didn't even look that bruised up. I would have thought for a bard who plays music a fire blistered finger would promote some concerns and protests and whinng but Jaskier handled it rather well. 😂
It happens all the time in this kind of tv shows and it’s always annoying. Jaskier has been punched and burnt and yet looks perfectly fine after leaning on Yen for a short escape.

I couldn't tell if he was doing that to work with the story she was his wife so as not to arouse suspicion though. Sure it was a combination!
She did risk her life to save him, so I don't think he wants to see any harm to come to her.
Are you sure he didn't try to protect his opponent from HER?
He was protecting her. Because later on in the alley he automatically pulled her behind him when those ruffians presume that she's a whore
I love how they are on the run but wearing the brightest shade of purple because fashion comes first
If you're already on the run, you can at least look fabulous while doing it.
That purple coat gives Jaskier +10 charisma, of course he’s gonna wear it.
Let’s play a game of “Spot the main characters!”
Difficulty level: dumb
When your custom character appears in a cutscene
the way I was just thinking this
nothing is better than just the slightly panicked cries of "Geralt!" as Jaskier realises he has indeed fecked up and is in dire need of assistance
"Geralt!" is Jaskier for "Help!" 😂

NO they're ✨besties✨ now
It's his overall loyalty to his friends in general, he didn't give any information about Geralt while being tortured either... Absolutely love him

Ok Jaskier is the best. Trying to protect Yen and Geralt protecting him. We knows he’s secretly in love with both of them.
Though the choice to call Jaskier is closer to the books than Dandilion, but the rest of the writing of that show is completely off the beaten path.
Been playing the first Witcher game and I am disappointed just how dull Jaskier is in the game in comparison XD
If it helps I haven’t had a chance to play any of them yet but what I’ve heard is that the third one is where all the good stuffs at
