pro level tvts are very entertaining cuz theyre good enough to possibly break the overpowered terran defensive position, but they often dont, so theres loads of suspense and back and forth, plus therye almost always lategames so it shows their endurance and ressilience. good stuff
That ZvZ cast was the first authentic feeling tastosis cast since the remote casting began. The “nothing is going on let’s talk some shit for a while” portion of the game is my favorite part of the cast.
Zerg is dominating the meta v Terran nowadays. Mutas are threatening to break the game. It's become like PvZ for Terran: if you lose even one interaction to Mutas before Zerg get Hive and you secure four bases, it's over. Zerg just gets too big and there is no answer for Defiler/Ultra/Ling. Muta and Defiler dominate interactions to such a dramatic extent. To be clear, I'm not saying the game is broken. That's n00b talk. This is just where we are with the meta for now. It reminds me back when PvZ was constantly losing to Hydra busts. It's totally doable for Terran, and if Sharp didn't make that mistake to push Zero's natural, he could've had enough map control to snowball the game. It's just the margin for error is so damn tiny for both sides now that it's taken the game to another level, and it's wonderful to see. Sharp just can't compete against the top tier Zergs.
It is kinda broken tbh. Occasionally the very highest skilled players in Starcraft (Byun, Maru) will go Terran and kill everyone with Micro so the whole game has been balanced towards the way they play at the highest level. So whenever a superior player goes on a run with them they have just been nerfed to parity until relatively recently. Unless you're a top 5 world player terran is completely unviable, otherwise it just kinda sucks. You're going to have to work twice as hard as Z and P for every single thing. All terran has going for them is a higher skill ceiling so you can dominate a mismatch more easily. But the whole "perfect" balance thing is not true, there is a definite tiering to the various races. Zerg S-tier, Protoss A-tier, Terran B-tier and it's not particularly close. The only time you're going to see Terran win GSL is if it's a top 2 world player, Protoss only if it's a tournament as they don't get fatigued from build order cheese, everything else is Zergs.
@@samuelkim9195 Nah, Last and Light had no problem beating Zergs. Now Light is pretty much the only Terran who can reliably compete v the top Zergs, and even he's been struggling recently. Remember Light vZ? No longer.
It's a damn shame that AfreecaTV decided to lay off its English casters and crew. The stay-at-home format is less like riding a rollercoaster, and more like riding a ferris wheel.... still I'm glad there's even a scene.

Widescreen gives you an advantage of more siege tank screen coverage so you can see more but again, the screen is bigger so you have to move your mouse more.

Seems to me sharp had an inherent disadvantage in the last game due to the triangular map. His 3rd was more vulnerable. Would prefer symmetric maps in future. Maybe I'm wrong.
These guys gotta stop trying to call games so damn early.. They are wrong almost every single time they say the game is over.. You would think they would learn their lesson by now rofl. Many times they are wrong multiple times per game with their predictions. They should cast the game, say who has an advantage but keep from stating the game is over early on.
why anyone still watches this 2 weeks late cast? StarCastTV English with Scan and Nyoken provide much better commentary since they are pro (Nyoken close to pro), translations and it gets up day after event. also you cant stop noticing Tasteless dont care or know anything about starcraft , just here for the $$$. like every comment he does he preface with "i dont know anything about.. but, i am not expert... but , i dont know how this goes...
I agree, Afreeca TV shouldn't have laid off the English cast. The new stay-at-home format is much lower energy. I remember ASL having that in-house excitement, Dan & Nick wearing suitcoats and channeling the energy of a whole crowd. You can see this in their June casts of GSL, just go watch the difference in character and hype. Either way, I'm glad we get pro games with English commentary at all, considering SC is a 24 year old game that actively has to compete with the popularity of its own sequel...

SC Remastered has a graphics setting to fit modern widescreen monitors, old school monitors were more square.
