FINALLY!!!!!! It's lowkey so frustrating how far behind these releases are, and how there's no consistency to their releases. At the end of the Group C cast, tasteless said they were going to record the Group D matches right away so I was hyped and expecting it the next day and then spent the next however many days checking the afreecatv youtube channel 29384 times until I was pleasantly surprised just now at 230am local time and now won't get much sleep! 😂😭 I'm not trying to complain or lay blame to tasteosis and crew, I know these take a lot of work. The production is fantastic and worth the wait. Plus I know I can always watch the games themselves elsewhere or with other commentary but it's just not close to the same as the goat duo. Especially as a non player, the fundamental strategies and advanced insights tasteosis provide is the main reason I've become such a fan! Honestly I would t mind being 3-4 weeks behind the live matches at all. It's more so the fact I can't factor into my daily plans when to set aside time to watch because of the lack of scheduled release times. I guess this is just a long winded way of saying that I really wish Afreecatv would simply bring tasteosis back into the booth 😭

Nice to see some good ol' SCBW games. Spoiler alert: I doubt that even Mini haven't cancelled that Robo, it's already too late for the Reaver. He also needs a Shuttle too given the position where that Robo is located, as well as to not to die from Hydras. The build order screwed him up as rushing Corsairs to scout won't do anything against that rush. IMO, the best opener for Toss on this map against Zerg is a 1-base quick Shuttle to scout then match the Zerg accordingly once got the intel.
Someone should map out the absolute fastest Blind Reavers you can get on that map. Skip the Stargate and possibly get a faster Assimilator to get all the gas needed to plot down a Robo / Support Bay / Reaver so it's ready for the Zerg Rush. Only problem is if the Zerg goes 2 Hatch Mutas, the Protoss is just dead. Yeah that map sucks.
@@CentsOfFate64 that's why you still need to have reservations in case the Zerg goes into Mutas. 2 hatch Muta is slow without the 2nd gas, so unlike the 1 base Ling-Hydra all-in, they need to drone up for that gas. If they go Muta all-in instead, the best bet is probably have the Shuttle immediately load Lots upon scouting and drop them to keep the Zerg into making Lings and up the cannons while at it. Toss already have the tools to match the Zerg from these harassments and all-ins, it's just they're screwed if they don't scout and screwed if they do it wrong. Their matchups on standard maps have them relatively safe and strong by easily turtling on 2 bases with early probe scout and a quick Corsair follow-up. For me, deviating from their standard play is a breath of fresh air. It's just the Toss pros don't have a follow-up in this kind of map since they don't do 1-base turtle play in their standard map matches.
Even with the intel, seems so hard for Toss to stop that crazy early push when there are three different routes Zerg can choose so quickly. Those buildings die so fast.
@@meowmers2512 true, fast Robo and 1-base sim city cannons seems the best option here. Zerg too operates in 1-base in this scenario, and if they decide to do all-in they won't be trading evenly with Reaver on the rear.
@@meowmers2512 Medusa had stackable Temples (10 I think?) that would open up a new attack path when you bring them down. You can kill all of them with Splash Damage quickly from Siege Tanks / Lurkers / Reavers. So it takes forever with basic units but trivial with splash. Maybe the map needs double stacked buildings to slow down early rushes.
Spoilers below. Mini's accidental robo cancel probably wouldn't have changed anything, imo. It was late enough that he would barely have time to get a support facility up to make a reaver by the time the zerg got to his base, definitely wouldn't have time to get a shuttle with it so it wouldn't be mobile either. At best it might have bought him some time, but he was probably toast regardless.

I don't understand how they are constantly having Neo Arkanoid map this season. For the entire season, Zergs just make bunch of lings, destroy buildings that separate them from Protoss or Terran, and simply win the game with flood. Mini even made some buildings to block them from primary entrance - Hero simply went to another entrance and destroyed it, so he flooded from another direction where cannons were less effective. This is such unplayable map for other races its insane. Imagine any other Starcraft map but if you had not just the way into natural, but 2 other entrances that are destructable. Its just bad, unfair map.

Reaver would be out at 6:20 but all his cannons and probes were dead by 6:10 so it wouldn't have made a difference. However, I think his probe micro for blocking the cannons was weaker than normal because he was so tilted from earlier.

I know why, sc2 is just a fast flashy arcade game that is nothing but air units or shit that jumps over clifs. Just cheap. Broodwar is about Micro and skill, and anyone who argues that well i wish you the best of luck in life. I like sc2 but its a totally different game. Doesn't quite feel like what made starcraft so great. Legacy of the void is unplayable, its nothing like starcraft.

Mindcontrolling overlords in order to detect lurkers instead of teching to observers would have been way quicker and funnier in the Mini vs. Hero game :).
Game 1 maybe action should have placed the 3rd to the right of the gas to get his gas going right away and to be able to place his sunks guarding the ramp right from the start

I fixed my hair curl about 2 years ago, and now I'm a B-rank protoss player with my own yacht and I make money by selling self-help books telling other people how to six the hair curls on their own.

- The slower pace makes each unit that spawns more impactful; _ the clunky movement means that investing time in a unit always makes it better and allows for melee micro; - the limited selection and no smartcast means that having a bigger army doesn't scale as well and also means that player skill matters more than racial imbalances; - the high ground advantage allowing for easier defence and also points of interests on the map that are not bases; - dropships being an option and not something you get every game, makes them more exciting; - the fact that the game is mostly unchanged since it release, means the legacy players played the "same game", whereas for SC2 most champions could probably thank somewhat the current patch for helping their race; I think that are some of the things that makes BW so much more interesting to watch

I was really impressed by Mini's play. I don't really like Arkanoid, it basically seems that it's a cheese map.
seems difficult map for PvZ because of the multiple avenues of attack. lings just clear the blockers real fast

why is this so much better than sc2?
It feels more like a experience and less like a Product...
It's not. But it's a bit slower and more clunky if you think Sc2 is too fast.
@@tankbuggeru oh yea u mean the f2 death ball feature! i love it rocks everyone in team games. love the balance and the resource funnel and no team victory off cuz u know - toxic friendly culture!
- The slower pace makes each unit that spawns more impactful;
_ the clunky movement means that investing time in a unit always makes it better and allows for melee micro;
- the limited selection and no smartcast means that having a bigger army doesn't scale as well and also means that player skill matters more than racial imbalances;
- the high ground advantage allowing for easier defence and also points of interests on the map that are not bases;
- dropships being an option and not something you get every game, makes them more exciting;
- the fact that the game is mostly unchanged since it release, means the legacy players played the "same game", whereas for SC2 most champions could probably thank somewhat the current patch for helping their race;
I think that are some of the things that makes BW so much more interesting to watch
