Patience is key to doing the task correctly. Too many times people get in a hurry and disaster strikes. Like you said don’t rub, use the corrects product and tools. And love it without the decals. I thought that from day one.
People hate on ricers for putting Honda and Acura decals on their cars but then the biggest attention seekers are Porsche owners. Big ol Porsche stickers on the side and on the spoilers lol

If the vehicle was dirty, should you remove the decals first then wash it or wash first with the decals on then remove?
To be extra safe you can wash it but it doesn’t matter as far as the decal removal itself. Just better to work in a clean environment.
