Mine was high in phychopathy so was a very convincing liar.
I was young and naive also so was easily duped.

Wow! Sooooo true….I was friends with a Pastor of an independent Fundy Baptist Church for over 2 decades. I was a fairly new Christian and I met him and his wife at the salon I was working at. I took to them both. He was really funny, loved having intelectual conversation concerning the faith, was a very talented musician and singer, this very jolly and friendly kind of person. He asked a lot of questions which led me to believe he was genuinely interested in my life and knew how to have a good monologue. Over time though I got this sense that his questions had more of a feel of being nosey and I started getting this gut feeling that he was gossipy. When they got their small church up and running they invited me and I went but never planned to become a member of their church. He had called me in one day to talk and basically told me that the way I could serve would be in their daycare on Sundays but I was never asked, I was lured into it and I never said I would be interested in doing this. As soon as his wife learned that I wasn’t going to be a permanent fixture at their church nor would I be serving in the capacity that they wanted she cut me off completely!!! He continued to come to me for his haircuts and continued to be nosy. I no longer felt his questions where a genuine interest in me but more to fish for information and get some kind of enjoyment out of being confided in about personal matters. I got very sick one year and couldn’t work, he started going to an old co-worker ay another salon and someone there told me they overheard them talking about me and my illness. not once did he reach out to check in on me while i was so very sick, no card no nothing! but he did manage to gossip about my condition and it probably spread like wild fire from there since i knew the hairstylist he was going to and she too was a total gossip! some time later after he had learned of my return to work he decided to check in and wanted to get a haircut. i simply responded like he was an old client and never a friend and I told him I was already booked up and not accepting new clients and left it at that. never heard from him again! some Christian!!!!
