- In this video we get the second and third flight on the TDS. After finding a few issues with the TDS it’s back flying and perfect! Next time out we will turn the head speed up to 2600!

Not too many pilots have the opportunity to build and fly the Henseleit TDS . . . , I always enjoy watching these machines in action.
No, they do not. It is definitely a unique machine and I am glad I am able to fly one. It’s a whole different flying style and the head design is crazy!
Your Heli Jeff? She's a Beauty!! Your little Angel flew that other Heli Great!!! I bet she Loves Flying now!!!
This one is a buddy of mine. I redid and built this Heli and getting it tuned and flying perfectly. Thank you! She definitely loved flying it! I’m proud of her!
Love the look of that bad boy 👍🏻
It’s definitely a great looking Heli!
Waouh.. That’s very impressive. First time I see this kind of speed with long straights…
This heli goes straight! The Vbar EVO has alot to do with it as well. Just wait till I turn it up!
That heli looks the business, what do you mean by unlock the head?
At a certain rpm the head locks solid so no dampers and to unlock it has to be under a certain rpm
The TDS is designed with a different style head. There is centrifugal tapered dampeners that sling out at 1600 RPM and above they lock the head solid but! If the head is solid, as you spool down, there will be a residency that can create a vibration and caused the helicopter to try to eat itself, and or fall over. So their design around that was to make a physical moving dampener that could make the head rigid or make the head soft. I’ll try to explain it and show it better in the next video.
Please make a video about that, i would like to see how the mechanics of the head is made.
@@harderthomas1ify I can do that! Can probably do a short
Amazing
Just when I thought the SAB Goblin Comet was the coolest looking Heli on the planet. You pull this thing out, lol. This is probably comparing apples to apples but which is faster? As I know you have Comet as well.
The TDS is a unique and fantastic speed machine. It flies effortlessly and goes straight without even really trying. If we compare stock to stock, the TDS is definitely a better built speed helicopter. The Comet is great speed Heli and all around flying Heli where the TDS does one thing. Go fast! Now if we compare my comet to this TDS, my comet is a lot faster but it’s got a lot more power and custom made parts. The SAB comet is a better all around purchase in my opinion because it is so versatile you can do big air and all that good stuff or go fast, it’s also ALOT cheaper lol
That thing was scootin''!!
Yes it is! Not even trying either. Still have more head speed to go!
Super. Super and Super helikopter respect ❤❤❤
Thank you! It’s definitely one of a kind heli to fly.
Looks good! I’m about to get mine going again too
Yes you do! This tail belt was a lot of fun to replace! Lol
Man o man what a field ! Here in Ventura County I struggle to find places to fly
It’s definitely a beautiful field! I’m lucky to live in an area that has a lot of great open fields in a few great flying fields.
beautiful
Thank you!
Awesome ness
Thank you!
'I feel the neeeeed for speeeeed'...
Yea sir! Need to go fast!
@@westhobbiesrc8051 i meant that 'top gun' quote 🙂
Hey Jeff what do you mean by unlock the head? They're at the end of the video before you were landing.
The TDS has a special head design, there is centripetal cone shape dampeners that slide in and out. At 1600 RPM and above they side out to lock the head solid. At 1600 and lower the slide in to unlock and make the head soft and moveable.
Wow .......
It’s an incredible Heli!
how do you compare the TDR 2 with the TDS?
I’m not sure, never flown or seen a TDR2 in person.
@@westhobbiesrc8051 I guess that was the only answer I wasnt expecting :D
